I loved cooking. Now my thoughts say you can't cook now. Is this sort of thing experienced by anyone else?

Yes of course these thoughts are totally normal in anxiety disorders. I've talked to 3 people so far with this exact fear and thought. Some people fear they can't get on buses or trains , some fear they can't cook , some fear they can't sleep. These are all irrational thoughts. The reality is you can cook. You need to start cooking again , cook small. Make pasta , noodles things that take less time.

Thank you Glenn. I have to get a stomach test done in hospital tomorrow. It is a bit daunting even though I had it done years ago but I hadn't so much anxiety then.

So many people recover from agoraphobia. Whoever told you otherwise has no idea about the condition. You can get in touch with me via email. glenn.murphy100@gmail.com
