  • It is a very blessed day here in the outdoors. After leaving my traps out for one night I had a good deal of success and will now be staying well fed for the remainder of my wilderness living trip.
    Now the real work begins in processing meat and fur. Stay tuned! Thank you to everyone who watches.

    Quite amazed by how that giant looking beaver is only average sized.
    I haven't seen beavers that big ever!
    Congratulations on your catch as well!

    Nice! Hopefully, you will do a vid showing how you process those beavers. I'd love to try beaver meat some day. I'm curious as to how it tastes.

    I think I expected the traps to be cruel-I guess I have an old-fashioned “claw” trap image stick in my head where they’re stuck with an injured limb. These look pretty quick, and I can respect that.

    I'm not a woodsman but I'm fascinated by all the different aspect of bushcraft, hunting and trapping. I really appreciate the humane ways of trapping and the stewardship of the environment. I look forward to more!

    Congrats on the trapping success! Understand how important a good trapping session was to you, in terms of food supply on this trip. Will be interesting to see how much of the processing you can show on UA-cam. It takes a lot of skill and care when you are trying to preserve the pelts to the highest quality, as well as how much of meat you get out of them.

    mindblown that people are put off by trapping content on a bushcraft channel. hopefully they can understand these are far better deaths than they could've expected from wolves or tularemia

    Congrats On the beavers, being self sustaining is not easy and we are very humbled and grateful for bounty’s from nature! Too many are decades if not centuries removed from this. They only know“ food comes from the grocery store” it’s very hard for them to process that these days. I guess it’s true that to topple a society one needs to control education and news sources of information!

    Here in Tennessee back in the 70s. Trapping is how I bought my school clothes. A gray fox was 50 a Red fox was 75 and a muskrat was five bucks. I miss those days young man . LOL 🤣

    You know I have been all for hunting and fishing. As long as you truly need the food. I have family of hunters. Been raised around it all. But for some reason I didn’t like this video. Sorry. I think Beavers are amazing animals. I have never see someone trap one before. So that could play into my thoughts. I don’t know. 🤔 #awesomeanimal

    • @WayneTheSeine
      @WayneTheSeine 5 місяців тому +5

      I respect your feelings but when the fur market was severely depressed due to all of the fur fuss, beaver have become a huge headache for landowners and more importantly for the environment. They can flood thousands of acres of hardwood bottom land, killing old growth hardwoods which so many animals depend on. Trapping beaver is a service to society and wildlife.

    ❤ I was gonna say “poor beavers” as well, lol but he’s putting them to good use and humans kill themselves over stupid crap everyday like religious beliefs when they should sing and hold hands. Or gang territory or stuffing animals in zoos, or burning down the rainforest, or slaughtering millions of cows for our consumption etc 😂so this guys alright for getting some good beave! 🤟🏻😂❤️

      If you think that this is cruelty id expect you to never eat any meat every again, compaered to what happens in a slaughter house this is infinitely more humane and sustainable, so either you should be a vegan or you should keep your thoughts to yourself
