hi there! this was just from my experience: although most tutorials tell you to skip a stitch at the start of each row, i usually don’t; which is how i avoid my ribbing getting larger or smaller. i hope this helped!

It's really hard to wear without strap, that's why in my tutorial i always make the strap. It's too tight to take it off if it's without strap😁
