There are so many references to SEGAs original games and by far is an outstanding level design, I may not have sonic mania but this definitely makes me smile

this zone is one of the reasons why I want to play Sonic Mania more than any other Sonic game.

Heavy shonbi is a pain in the butt his sword is annoying and his shurkiens you better pray when you get damaged you can collect your rings again before he freezes you.
For a second, I though Sega and AriZona did a collaboration on the second act. Seeing all the colors, lanterns, and other fixin’s in the background of the second act looked like a can of AriZona Green Tea. Hell, even the music on the second act could be used in a commercial advertising AriZona Green Tea!

I must admit, the stage itself is kinda easy if it wasn't for heavy shinobi, I entered that bitch with 8 lives and beated it with just 5

This boss is pretty hard on Sonic only mode. Mostly because of the starfish.
Captain Bland Those aren’t starfish, they are shurikens... a common weapon used by NINJAS, aka this boss.
I wish there would be bottomless pits to kick Sonic into.

It not that hard, use spindash and jump to star ball spider to get hit spike
But then when I got all chaos emeralds, and got super sonic, i beat the crap out of the stupid spider boss from flying battery zone, jeez!
