When i was a kid in the 80s I read all the magazines and dreamed of having an Odyssey. Your 350 is a monster, so cool and mint condition with great upgrades.
I am about two hours from the Humboldt redwoods as a crow flies but in a car it is more like 3 to 4 hours along a gorgeous twisting highway that crests a few mountains and also follows along the incredible Trinity River for a ways, and that is just to the West. To the East is the mighty Sierra Nevada Mountain Range which in my opinion is equally awe inspiring. Just look up Burney Falls, Hatchet Falls, or Potem Falls for a small sample of what our hills to the West have to offer. Unfortunately a TrailBlogger has to pay the bills so no adventures for me today :-/ Cheers from California. Thanks for leaving a comment. -TrailBlogger
I will look it up, i have seen it on tv, really beautiful country! I would like to go there someday, but its expensive to travel and live there as a tourist i imagine?
The northern part of california is not as expensive to live in as the southern portion where it is much more populated. I haven't done any traveling around the world so I can't really testify how expensive it is here relative to other countries like Sweden but camping and back packing does not cost much. If you aren't into pitching a tent and want to avoid costly hotels many campgrounds along the coast in the Redwoods have very nice yurts you can reserve ahead of time. They are a round cabin with a dome at the top.
+Offroad Riding Yerf Dog isn't comparable to an Odyssey at all. They're still fun, but quality, speed, handling, and the ride isn't even in the same ball park.
Sorry, Im just now seeing this, But man... is that the original steering wheel?? That is just so SO Sick man! Big Props on this Buggy! Your the only person Ive seen with one.
@@trailblogger what state are you located in? If you don't mind me asking. Its just that ive been a fan of the channel for quite some time now and i would love to meet and ride with you. You are one of the reasons in got a quad in the first place. I would love to meet you some day. 😊 - Hunter H
If geared correctly, sure. But you probably Flinstone it down the street, have horrible valve float and have probably replaced rods a half dozen times.
Damn Honda made a gocart like this in the 80's , I'm impressed shit looks solid. Like the front control arms n everything, is that stock or all moded up?
TrailBlogger thing is awesome and so damn clean . Imagine if it had a banshee motor in it or like a cr500, is it reasonably quick like would it keep up with a blaster?
Dude, I really want this cart... or something similar! They dont make GoKarts/Buggys like this anymore, you either have to build them or buy like a Side by side which costs freakin $15k-$20k easy, Which Sucks man!! How are people suppose to have any fun these!! And they wonder why more and more people grow up to be drug attics!!!! Smfh!! Sorry Man, Nice Buggy you have there. Thanks for sharing this video dude.
yes that is the original wheel, everything is controlled with your hands, there are no foot pedals. it is a totally different experience to strap in this thing than a normal ATV. I love it
I have some questions I have 2 of these machines, first what rims are those? The aftermarket rims that came with one of mine won't allow me too make left turns as easy as the right turns. Second where is that riding spot? Looks super cool if you don't want to tell me that's fine. Actually I lied I have 1 more question why did you chop up that factory air box like that? I don't want to be mean but their getting harder to come by and you could have gotten one of those k&n short or long stack filter things. Like I said I'm not trying to be mean.
I got the rims off amazon. If you watch the rebuild video I posted the sizes I used in the video. If you have having trouble steering one way you might have a bent tie rod or worn out tie rod end. I would start by checking that your tie rods are straight and then makes sure your tie rod ends are not all sloppy. If they are tight and straight I would make sure both wheels line up perfectly straight when you have the steering wheel sitting flat. The ride spot is at Copley Staging area which is part of Shasta Chappie OHV area, it is free to ride there and open to the public. I don't mind giving you all the info to ride there but make sure you have a green sticker on your machine and spark arrestor in the summer or a ranger could ticket you. I had a custom carb and intake manifold that made my carb sit back just slightly so it would not line up very well with the factory box using the stock rubber boot. I had two factory airboxes, I modified one I got off ebay that was already melted from the previous owner's custom exhaust so it would accept a K&N before I got my short stack. I found the factory box a pain to deal with an would prefer the be able to clean the air filter without messing with a box each time. I had 2-3 K&N filters and I just throw a clean one on before each ride, even with the factor box it was still caked each ride from the heavy dust here in summer. In my opinion this is much easier than trying to dig the factory filter out of the box each time. I did eventually purchase a short stack but it doesn't show it in this video. Happy to answer any questions you have about my Odyssey 350. She is gone now but I had a lot of fun restoring her. On to other projects like my Banshee 350, YFZ450, and Raptor 700 but I do miss that old Ugly Red buggy.

I paid $1000 cash for it but then I spent the next 2 years restoring it. Cost about $3000 total- I put a lot more parts on it after this video was taken. This was just the first test ride so I was taking it easy on her.
+TrailBlogger Nice work! looks brand new. You sold it? BTW I uploaded a video that shows the crankcase filler cap bolt that got broke of my Raptor...tnx god someone around who fixes quads found one without the ring rubber sealing so he gave it to me for free and because I kept my broken one all had to do is to put the rubber ring on the one he gave me :D
it has two options, you can connect to the coil wire or the spark plug wire. I went with the coil wire. I will shoot you a link, let me dig it up. I got it off amazon.
Hey!! jus wanted to say thanks for inspiring me to get some Honda Odyssey fl350's. Im still learning about these machines but the folks I take out on rides love them. Checkout my vids, I. learning the video editing to so bare with the quality..lol Thanks again!!!! Dee
WHERE did you get this Buggy?? Ive been trying to find one OR Something else like it, and not a big, heavy, dumb, cheap ass GoKart that goes 15mph and gets stuck on hills lol!!! I wish all the good Japanese Brands, like Honda, would start making there own versions of GoKarts/Buggies. I mean there are the Side by Sides out now, but those cost just as much as a damn brand new car!smh!! Im talking something around the $5k-$10k price range and does 40+mph.
I bought it off craigslist falling apart. it was out behind a guys barn. I paid $1000 for it and then dumped another $2000 in parts into it. I would have spent far less on parts but the stock shocks were toast and I spent almost $1500 on new suspension parts alone. Only about $500 went into the rest of the machine restoring it.

search craigslist and facebook market for honda odyssey 350 or pilot 400
A Legend reborn
Damn Honda made a gocart like this in the 80's , I'm impressed shit looks solid. Like the front control arms n everything, is that stock or all moded up?
M Rod pretty stock other than a pipe and clutch carb shocks lights. They make a 400 with a arms instead of trailing arms.
M Rod checkout the original honda pilot fl400. It was water cooled. They do sell cool heads for the 350 also though..

Sounds like it might still need work in the throttle or shifter
automatic. no shifter except for forward neutral reverse. you have to let it idle down before you shift, which I learned the hard way.

that type of tire you use forward and back ?
Fronts are AMS PacTrax tires, rears are Carlisle Trail Wolf tires.

Will check the tie rod and tie rod ends but I believe the offset of the rims is what is causing it. Did you have trouble turning with them?

Is it 2 stroke mix or oil injected?
mix
@@trailblogger Okay! Thanks! What ratio are you using and how big is the gas tank and what CC’s is it?
32 to 1. stock tank. i use a ratio rite cup to mix my fuel in a 5 gallon jug before pouring in the buggy tank.

Somewhere around Mach 2. It's hard to say for sure because of the G force that slams you back into the seat when you break the sound barrier.
