    My Dad an I just bought one, it's a project right now. It had been sitting for two years with the engine out since the previous owner saw that one of the pistons was scratched. It's a two stroke so it was perfectly fine. Sadly he didn't know that... but we bought it off of him today for $500!!! Hopefully we can fix her up and make her pretty and fast again!

    I am glad took time to look at your video it was good! We are trying to show our own people about ATVing that it is great. We are running into a lot bad attitudes here where we live. It real struggles to build...

    Nice riding. But dang, you crank the "wheel" and the tires barely turn.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  7 років тому

      true i think it was mainly because of the offset rims. screws the steering geometry all up.

  • @4460cows
    @4460cows 9 років тому +1

    Thanks for showing the safety features of the Honda Odyssey. I never saw those wrist straps in the steering wheel on the one I was driving at rather-a high speeds and rolled it. Natural instinct was to put my arm out as it rolled over. Well you can guess what that did nothing good for my arm. The machine was a blast until that happened then a nightmare until my arm healed. Have not been on one since.

    Buggy looks like fun,too bad no where to use it in Australia where i live :( cant even really use my Banshee.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  9 років тому

      +Albert Ellis So what is the deal with Banshees there? Do you still see brand new ones for sale at the Yamaha stores? (new old stock) I know you guys had them imported to Australia for at least 4 more years after they stopped coming to the states right?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  9 років тому +3

      +Albert Ellis Funny thing is my perception of Australia is only what I have seen in Hollywood movies like Crocodile Dundee where it's all outback and rough wilderness. I would think you guys would have miles and miles of offroading areas to go explore there "down under".

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  7 років тому

      this is at Shasta Chappie OHV Area near Lake Shasta. its about 20 minutes from Redding, California

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  7 років тому

      you can search on the website www.riderplanet-usa.com and it will show you OHV areas to ride at near you!

    • @sarahrosaleslopez5034
      @sarahrosaleslopez5034 7 років тому

      Yes, I have seen those trails. Absolutely beautiful! Problem is, I don't where to stay with my quads. We don't camp LOL

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  7 років тому

      the best thing to do would be to google Shasta Lake Cabin Rentals. There are many privately owned rentals on Whiskeytown Lake or Shasta Lake. Both lakes are 20-30 minutes from Redding and the staging area for the quads is basically right in between. Be sure to checkout shasta caverns while you are in the area. truly amazing cave tour. No crawling around just walk right through but a lot of steps and a ferry and a bus ride to get there.

    • @sarahrosaleslopez5034
      @sarahrosaleslopez5034 7 років тому

      Ok will do! You ever been to Mammoth Lakes? I hear its nice there too, and they have good trails for quads. I'm stuck between the two. I love your videos!

    Have and modifications beed done to the front suspension of this buggy? If so, what kit or mods were done? Looks like it has a bit more travel than mine and I'm interested in upgrading.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  10 років тому

      It is standard travel but I put new Progressive shocks on there to replace the stock ones. They are a cheaper shocks but much better than the stock ones. I am using wider ITP steel rims. The rear has some really expensive Works G Series shocks and wider rims also. New wheel bearings and bushings were installed front and back.

    • @thelaughingman79
      @thelaughingman79 5 років тому

      @@trailblogger i thought about it alot though you don't want a completely insane amount of power because you'll be spending on your focus on holding it back. then theres fuel consumption concerns and weight distribution that weight bias could be an issue. and very limited space in the engine compartment. also...i saw that pov engine on ebay for 300 bucks...300!! sled engines are so cheap!! not to mention one with power valves!!! how does the stock cvt holdup? or would you need the whole drivetain from a sled...i don't actually know anything about the oddyssey. but i am a motorcycle tech i have just been trying to flesh my super oddy idea out in my brain. someone fast enough to scare anyone..but manageable enough to trail drive.

    What are all those gauges you have on the Oddysey? I have an FL350 covered to water cooled.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  10 років тому

      I have the stock air cooled head to I have a temp gauge that wires up between the spark plug and head.
      The rest of the gauges are a digital RPM/GPS, top speed, and battery voltage.

      TrailBlogger Hey where or how do I hook up the RPM gauge to?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  10 років тому

      with the RPM gauge I bought you have the choice of mounting a pickup line on the spark plug wire or the coil.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  10 років тому

      Frank Rivas I chose to mount mine on the coil.

      TrailBlogger Could you say exactly where? It looks like a great place to ride, and I'm in Sac so that isn't that far away at all!

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  10 років тому

      Joshua Katz this is about 15 minutes from Redding California at the Shasta Chappie OHV Area. There are two major unloading areas that are open to the public just make sure you have a spark arrester and green sticker. One unloading area is on Iron Mountain Road and the other you drive across Shasta Dam and drop down in the valley below where the campground is. Both areas have an unloading dock and bathrooms. Let me know if you need more information, happy to help. Also, if you are in Sac you should look into the trails at Stonyford as I have heard there is good riding down there as well and that's a closer to you.

  • @jeremyanglin55

    What's the top speed?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  9 років тому

      +Jeremy Anglin not sure I never did take it out on a straight stretch long enough to open her up wide open. Most of the riding areas here are really windy roads. She was built to be more of a trail machine anyhow, acceleration and climbing power over top end.
