Got one about 2 weeks ago, I hunt daily with it on the beach, Florida space coast, the only issue is that I cannot get the sensitivity above 17 on dry sand and 15 on wet sand, picks up a lot of chatter anything above 17 sensativity, it’s a great machine, Fireman Jim
Great testing. But I think they're going to cut their own throat with this detector's ability because who really needs a 700 or 900 for that matter when you're getting so much performance out of this package. Nokta is forcing the issue with low priced high performance detectors and everyone else has to play catch up now or get left behind. Looking forward to the triple score showdown with this machine in the block test and the test garden.
Love the blocks, that elite is hitting above its price range for sure . So the elite , with the -1 has got a lower filter than the minelab big hitters, With the machines that are coming out your going to have to add another stage 🤣
I got into a debate with someone else on a chat about which detector is better. The X Terra Elite or the Equinox 600. I know that the Equinox 600 is an older model, but I would rather buy Equinox 600, than the X Terra Elite. Please select your options between these two detectors😊
Thats an interesting debate. The Elite is an upgrade over the 600 for build quality, waterproofness, 99 vdi, light, vibration, updated FE settings and faster processor. What would be to gain with a 600 over it? Only thing i could think of is if a person likes a smaller VDI scale.
Hey Steve, i do have a couple of videos with the Pro on my channel and it did really good. Both of these are a step up being multi frequency for sure. Much more stable Id as well.
Very impressive performance for the price point. I'm looking forward to an Elite / Triple Score head to head test in your test garden and the blocks as well as feature comparisons. Should be interesting to see two machines in the same price class duke it out.
@@IffySignals What are your thoughts on TID stability with the XTE compared with the XTP? Do you think the MultiIQ helped with stability? Thanks again for your always interesting reviews. Using the same blocks & test garden for all detector reviews keeps the playing field level😊
I have been looking to upgrade my detector. I've been using the Garrett Ace 250 since i started @ 10 years ago. Would the Xterra Elite or the Garrett Ace Apex be better.
It's a waterproof Vanquish, with a higher VDI scale and an iron filter, honestly they wouldn't switch to this metal if they already owned a Vanquish 540. From your experience, does it have any other advantages? recovery speed?
Fantastic ..Hey do you know if Minelab will make any improvements on the 700/900 as is it is advertised?? as an upgradeable software detector.. ? These iron unmasking test are so cool..
Tough choice, i like the ML audio better but the TS has a separate iron filter and bottle cap reject. Thats big for relic hunting. You can knock out large iron with the BC and not completely impact separation in nails. Thats a win for the TS.
Im wondering how this compares to the Xterra pro. Ive been looking for comparisons and havent seen any yet. After having owned a 600 and an 800 i can notice the clear difference with the terra pro having less crispness in recovery and wonder how this compares to that. Its hard to use something else after using an equinox; feels so slow
@@IffySignals makes me mad. I just bought this Xterra pro lol. I did get it for 230 though. I assume the after market coils from the pro work on the new one so not a huge loss. Can sell easy enough
I went out, pacifically to find horseshoes. Just another horseshoe hunt like any other day. Having a horseshoe icon on certainly helped quite a bit. I was quite fortunate that day to dig several horseshoes. I only wish the company would get its crap together and put a pull tab icon on the machine That would be a game changer. 🤓
Could someone tell me if the full front face on the Elite is a glossy plasic or if that is just a protective cover? It looks very glossy on the vid. Glossy plastics never age well. Thanks!
@@IffySignals Thank you for the reply. Really appreciate it. Last question. Would you prefer it with the smaller coil? I take it that it will do great on the beach?
I have the double score already done multiple videos onit its found me everythibg and i want a triple score or this xterra elite, what would you personally recommend i know the double score has done amazing on your tests in the past so i have no doubt the triple score will pass with flying colours but is this detector worth having to add to my arsenal?
Hey Duck, i can’t speak to the Triple Score but the Elite is performing great. The Double Score like you mentioned did great as well. If they did not mess with anything and just added features the Triple should be a performer as well.
@@IffySignals i sure hope so, i have a double score and a X-Terra pro which are both great machine in there own ways and yh if they dont mess with anything the triple score should be something else, but how would you compare the X-Terra Elite to the nox series?

The 800 has more features but the new lineup has the 99 non ferrous ID scale and will find targets better in trash/iron than the 600/800. It has the new update with -1 ferrous limits that the 600/800 do not have.
Its competition right now. You (we all) should be happy about that. This machine during the AT Pro days would have been over $1k. Good time to get into the hobby
Thanks for that test drive Mike, the X-Terra Elite seems very much on par with my old 800, for half the cost. Pretty amazing.
You bet!
Hey Mike! Always good to see your videos, one of these days we will get together again and save history!
