Give the guy a break people, it's not so easy doing this off the cuff in a language that's not your mother tongue. Very informative vid nonetheless. Interesting and innovative production process of these beautiful instruments.
This would be the ultimate drinking game, and I laughed hard too, but now I feel sorry for him because of all the mean comments.
This video just convinced me that my next guitar needs to be an Aristides! :)
Cleanest fucking shop I've ever seen.
12:17 and 21:14 are my favorite parts
The future of guitars. Awesome work guys.
Congrats to guide guy, he had a struggle :D
Qrc od macke he was struggling a lot, he's not used to speak english :''')
Erik and Pascal are amazing guys! Come on people, this is a very informative video. There's so many talking in other YT-vids for minutes and minutes (unboxing!!!) and in the end saying nothing at all. If you have to feed people saying Oh My God! or Uhmm or Ahmmm in every sentence you have to feed almost the entire western world.
This company has taken the making of guitars to an scientific level. I've been there several times and besides that, they are always very friendly and acquiescent, it's fantastic to see the way they're approaching the art of manufacturing guitars. Always open to a new angle of incidence, doing beautiful paintings, different pickups, special fretboards, etc.
In my life I've been in lots of factories of all kinds of disciplines, but this one is one of the very few that are really devoted from the first minute till the last to all of their products. Not trying to sell thousands of guitars monthly, but steady going into the future.
Just got my 060 and it's one of the best guitar I've ever played. I have a Mayones, Ernie Ball Majestys, PRS CU24, Kiesel, American Strat and have owned over 150 ohter guitars. Thank you so much for the inside look and a high quality product.
Curious if the strongly positive sentiments, especially regarding tone, have continued to remain 2 years later. I just picked up a 020 that will be delivered in a week. Am hoping to love the tone in comparison to the various PRS and Kiesels that I currently own (core CU24, SC594, and Hollowbody II with maple neck and board, and an Aries A6E with sh body and maple neck and board). It will obviously be different, just hopefully in a pleasant and soulful way. Want it to work so bad because of the apparent tuning stability and honestly the large swimming pool cavity on the back, which gives me all of the space I have ever wanted for some elaborate wiring schemes.
@@Tiger1016. So admittedly I no longer own Aristides guitars as I just prefer my PRS and Musicman guitars. The 060 plays super well and has a great look and feel. Tone wise I just prefer what I know. The 020 I have no experience with but my friends love them. Very comfy.
"Hipshit"
10/10 Gold hahahaha
The most consistent guitars in the world. You can see the amount of work given to all the custom jigs. Awesome, thanks for sharing!.
As an ex-spray painter, that rotating/guitar-holding spindle in the spray booth was strangely arousing... 10/10 wish I had one back in the day XD
Meanwhile in the United States, Gibson charges $11,000 for a model that is over half a century old, made almost exactly like the guitar model they still charge an arm and a leg for in 2016 and then rough it up a little bit and oh my god, low and behold the Gibson Custom True Historic 1959 Les Paul.... How fucking dumb are people these days....
and their quality control is slipping.
ESP is where it's at.
SYNDRIC idk what it is about ESP but i can't like them or even want one. I feel like they're missing something
Venus Armata then ESP and Jackson reinvented the Les Paul and made it a total shred machine!
I take it you speak like that to people directly and not just online as well? Lol
great job !!
Thanks for the walk-through guys, especially not in your native tongue. Awesome video all around!
True Excellence! I really am IMPRESSED! This is a method by which any individual can design a custom guitar off the base, that CAN be copied and/or replaced. I love all the options!
Answered literally all the question I had about these instruments.
Amazing video.........you reveal the extensive work that goes into your guitars..... inspiring indeed......................... Aristides guitars...............
@TheSAJ11 Unfortunately we don't have any left handed models available yet, we are working on the development of a left handed version of our 060 model and hope to have it ready somewhere in 2015!
+Aristides Guitars That is fantastic news! I'd be interested to know if the moulds have a limited number of uses or how many guitars a mould needs to make before it's paid for itself
I'm curious to see how the lefty will be!!!!
I'm an engineer and am very impressed with the process. These guitars are so unusual and look cool. The shape with the indents is something different from the normal flat surface of plywood body guitars. Look modern and are extremely stiff compared to wooden ones. Having the neck be an integral part of the instrument means no problems with stiffness and constant tightening. Seem to be very well made with much money invested in tooling. These people aren't fooling around. They seem to have lots of orders. Hope they do well.
No wonder they are expensive, the factory looks clean and professional where the workers look enthusiastic. Just wish I could afford one now, guess I will just buy another Ibanez instead ha ha ha. Very reassuring for your customers that you put in so much care.
Nice guitars, good process, neat factory, great video :-) Thanks for sharing this!
Great tour, guys! I never heard of these guitars. I love how you are using different and environmentally sound materials. Thanks again.
When I win the Lotto, put me down for a couple of these beauties.
Love Aristides
Beautifully looking machines, you guys do it right 🙏🏻
I'm saving up for an 070. Very impressed by your dedication to your craft. I wish you luck as a business, I've heard nothing but good things.
Fascinating video and appreciate the fearless innovation and break with tradition. I learned a lot from this, thanks! Factory looks like a huge auto plant... you’re only using a small part of it, yes?🤘🏻
You guys are just simple great... your work is amazing blows my brains out .. got a instans fan for life .. absolutly beautifull and funcionality guitars .. for now I just can dream about having and o8o ... my dream guitar come true greetings from venezuela
Oh my god these guitars are gorgeous!!!!
Nice to see all that, thanks for the tour. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic work and it’s great to see someone finally making a modern guitar and trying to use different materials. I have made a few guitars over the years and always thought about trying modern materials but never had the follow through. I hope that one day I will have the chance to buy one of your guitars to add to my collection.cheers and well done .
The future is now!
Love this video so much! Can't wait for mine to arrive...
This video makes me want to beat Aristides with a new material HAHAHAHAHA, people thinks that's guitars are not the big thing, but you took the game to an engineering level
I've tried these guitars with my guitar teacher, Jackel Pun. These guitars just makes all the other guitars I've tried feel like cheap toys. Can't wait to get mine. ARISTIDES FTW!!
Try an original jackson soloist sl1 from the early 90's or 80's or a Carvin DC127 from the late 80's
I love Jackel Pun! I'd say your in good hands.
Thank you guys for sharing this great tour!
:D
At 13:00 I started counting... I apologize.
178 times "ehhm"
How about you talk to me for half an hour in your second or third language and we will see how you do......
Uhhhhhhh.....uhhhhh.
Uuhhhhhhhmmmm
Uuhhhhh
Uh
First it was hard to sit through. Very frustrating, annoying, cringey even at times. But after a while it became pretty dang hilarious. Props to the man for toughing it out. Very cool vid over all.
This is freaking awesome!
I enjoyed it so much I want one for sure
Only just seen these guitars . Thay look amazing .its great to see forward thinking we’ll done guys I would love to try one out .
Excellent. Great tour and information. Definitely interested in your guitars
Such an amazing job, guys.
My dream Aristides guitar is a 070 White Marble finishing with Hipshot bridge and Ebony fretboard without inlays... I hope someday get one.
Keep it up!
Amazing!
such a unique instrument, I love the arium concept. One day I will have one of your guitars for sure :D
Very ingenious design. I hope the company does well. ✌️
Awesome tour! I want to work there!
amazing. I bet if Leo Fender was alive and active today he would totally jump on this!
impresionante que guitarras muy muy lindas !!!
Really great process there. Those aluminum molds are a huge investment. Nice system for clamshelling them together. Was really surprised that you are using wood fretboards on your composite guitars. Have you tried any composite boards? XX Garolite makes for a really nice fretboard. A well engineered instrument, thanks for sharing how it's done.
Nice work. Would like to have one
" The "bodies" are prepared for the painting process. " LOL nice video though! :D
Best Guitars!
Is there a truss rod? And does the hollow site does not bring feedback?
It would be nice to actually see the process!
OMg with bare knuckles must sound amazing. !
algun dia tendre una algun dia,,,
now I know why they are 4000$, worth every dollar. I would love to own one
Drop test!
That would actually be quite interesting to see.
eeeeerrrrr fuck!!!
i love the look of your guitars. how can i get my hands on one to test out? any dealers in canada?
1)So what if it breaks(headstock/frettboard)? basicly there will be no way to repair it...
2)How will anchor affect fingerboard? is it flexible enough?
3)Did he touched his penus? 21:14
4) Is there any garantee on them?
5)Are they balanced? will the neck dive?
must say they r super sexy, need to check the sound
Never heard of a Aristides neck breaking, fretboard is richlite these days, so no open grain, very stable material. Anchor? You mean the trusrodd? Adjustable just like any guitar. Yes he did touch it ;) Garantee, you'll have to check with Aristides themselves. They are balanced, no neck dive whatsoever, even with the 8 string inline headstock. Check out Ihsahn, monuments, periphery, delain, nothing more, end many many others that are using aristides guitars.
ALSO
Could you have a
Flat Fretboard
like a classical guitar,
or like Shawn Lane's
Vigier Excalibur
??????
So, what are the advantages to a similarly priced carbon fiber guitar? The first disadvantage is structural integrity. Does it really sound proportionally better than CF?
Thanks!
Sensational guitars. Do you need a sales rep here in Australia?
ROCK ON
Olly Steele from Monuments plays one of these, Ima buy one.
UUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
5:55 Have you guys added to this? I would love to see the latests if you have!
great video very funny about the hipshot really like nothing more
Have you guys thought about doing a reversed headstock?
I've been wondering this myself. My ideal guitar would be one wth a reversed headstock and an Evertune bridge, but I know they would need a mould specifically for that.
EDIT: Typed that before seeing in the video that the moulds have interchangeable parts. Maybe it will be possible in the future.
can a 6 string be made with:-
True Temperament Frets
and
Evertune Bridge
?????
which retailers are used
in the UK
?
As far as I know there are no retailers, just send them an email with your questions.
Is it possible to have an Aqua 080 with gold hardware??
What's with some guitars missing grounding and insulation?
06:25 the cross section of a 010.
Are you going to make a 8 string version of your guitars?
Definitely! We hope to have our 080 eight string ready late 2015!
Awesome!!! I've been following you guys for a while and when I can I would love to get my hands on one of your instruments :)
+Justin Verrall (Through The Process) hi..I'm not expert on chords but which chords can you play on 8 string guitar ?
BR
All cords. You essentially look at a 8 string the same way as you would any other 6 string but with an extra low B and F# or if you want to make it easier when you play bar cords tune the F# down to a E.
+Justin Verrall (Through The Process) I actually find it very uncomfortable to look at an 8 string as a "6 but with an extra low B and F#". To me, they feel like totally different instruments.
Do you offer evertune bridge option for your guitars?
"LOL"!!! . . . Knock it off you guys the is eeehhhhh gathering his thoughts. 😃💥
14:05 I see Skwisgaar skwigelf decided to show up.
Anyone know what finish name that blue guitar behind Pascal is?
Hi why no whammy model?
The arium guy is peak Sweden
They are dutch
Jeez, that is one way to diecast a guitar 🤔
one day
Lijkt me een nog een keer te hebben gitaar. Sparen dus maar.
Hipshit hahahah, was that a freudian slip :-)
Do you hire?
Hipshit! Hahaha xD
these guys are funny
27:00
If these were in the 1800-2500USD range id have one.
The base config and with maybe some minor additions should be in there, although without shipping and VAT.
ehhmm ehhh great guitars
@14:05 Swisgaar Skwigelf outta nowhere
I think still wood is a more special material than any synthetic. After it is a god made material compared to man made :).
Lovely "uhh" tour, uhh would watch again uhhhhhhhhhhhhh
@28:52, what's that battery for?
For the active pickups.
Thanks. So it can also be played to sound like an acoustic guitar?
You're welcome. Not without effect pedals, no. The active pickups have fewer wounds on their coils and a pre-amp (which is where the battery is for).
I think you are confusing it with a piezo pickup (which sounds more or less like an acoustic).
I’m definitely ehhhhmm buying ehhh one of these ehhhhm guitars.
err, eeehm, errr :D
Cool! Just edit the video and add a great background music so we can't fall sleep.
eeehhhhhhhh
ehhhhhhh, ehhhhh..
uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh
Love the guitars just wish the neck was more substantial.
AND ALSO
Could frets be made out
of something Harder than
Stainless Steel
????
I wear out frets
VERY Quickly....
MAX amount of time
that frets last me
18 months.
Stainless steel are the hardest fret material available but I've always wondered why someone hasn't tried using titanium frets. U can buy titanium truss rods. '16 gibson LPs have a titanium nut.
18months? i suggest u to check your playing. u dont need to press that hard or play using rusty strings. i got an LTD electric guitar made in indonesia, the stock frets last 7 years until now and counting.
johnnypk1963 I'd say titanium frets haven't been used yet because of how hard they'd be to work with.
There is absolutely no way you wear through frets in 18 months. I've seen some guitars from the 80s that were played every day but still had playable nickel frets
@@athmaid I can wear out the Frets on
a cheap Ibanez RG in only 9 months.... I did it twice when I transferred to electric guitar and bought cheap second hand ones, with the flattest fretboards to get started . They got worn out enough to make the instrument become unplayable and very out of tune.
My Shawn Lane Vigier has Stainless steel frets, with a completely flat fretboard and I have had it for nearly five years, and there are a couple of spots with very minor wear that need attention soon. And I have the hint of a buzz also on one fret up high.
I think that I wear out softer frets very quickly because I was classically trained, and can't help playing every note with a miniature little vibrato, like I did playing classical for many thousands of hours... well that's the best guess of my friends and the guy who is currently building me a Guitar with True Temperament Frets... Stainless steel of course! It will also have an Evertune Bridge as I'm getting rather old and fed up with wasting time on tuning!
PostScript...I know exactly when bought my Ibanez RG350MZ.... during February 2017 Ibanez released loads of instruments to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the guitar they first released with Steve Vai . There was a warehouse full of the cheap things for only
... £150 - £200, mine was £180 .
I had demolished the frets on an RG already, but didn't know enough yet about guitars to decide which "proper" guitar to buy, and liked the flatness of Ibanez. I'm disabled and can't drive, which made the process take even more time.
I tried just about every electric guitar you could think of including Ibanez that must have had stainless steel frets...some of the more notable ones that I liked where Musical Man (one of the John Pettrucci ones) and PRS, and a Suhr.
I was eventually swayed by the flat, classical style, fretboard of the Vigier, AND the fact that it's got a big chunk of carbon fibre instead of a truss rod. This neck isn't going to move, and I guess Shawn Lane picked Vigier because he spent a lot of time in India. I bought the Vigier in November 2017 and the frets on the RG350MZ built in 2011, were so bad since I started playing it in February 2017 , that it wasn't worth spending the money on it to sell it on. It was taken apart and its parts were sold off on my niece's kid's eBay of all places...I have no Idea how that works.
The RG I had before that was an Ibanez GRG270B , a much cheaper model from 2009. But, there was something about the profile and feel of the neck that I really liked, much more than the Wizard neck on the latter Ibanez. I still have it because of this, and the Luthier who embarked on designing and building my new guitar, along with myself designed the neck of my new guitar to have some similarities kind of crossed with my Vigier neck. It's taken time, he's Very busy, but it is almost finished. It will be ready in September this year, so it's taken nearly a year, which is not too long .
Post-postscript. I was thinking of how many Hours that I might have played the RG350MZ from Feb 2017 to Nov 2017 and being a much older person, it's not like the amount I used to maybe, but I can still play all day long . And when I play on metal strings I much prefer as light as possible, which, when combined with my techniques, might contribute to excessive wear. I don't know really? Because I am very immobile, and one of the few things that still works on my body is my hands so I still play a lot of guitar(only electric because they can't cope with classical anymore) ....I always improvise along with anything I watching online, TV and most music I listen to, even when I'm watching a movie with my wife in the evening I am still playing. So I might actually play for more hours than I used to when I was studying classical guitar on a formal basis in the eighties . Blah blah blah
26:59 Freudian slip? Haha
