must be a 2024 model that they are trying to get rid of.
@gosman949 oh ye that's true. But is it still a good deal?
@@NathanTran-k8r old technology. I wouldn't get it, but that is just me.
Also put some weight (passengers) and see how both motors perform
The material on the dash makes the dash look cheap.A rotary knob on the ST doesn't fit the image.BRING BACK SHIFTERS,PERIOD.
These police cars are fast these days
Only having a 2nd row bucket seat option is absurd. Ford should have never got rid of the 2nd row bench. If you have 3 kids or more then you have to leave the 3rd row up and in result you will have minimal cargo space.
One real miss IMO is only 1 wireless charger when there is clearly room there for 2. Why make a passenger plug in to charge? That just defeats the the whole purpose of having wireless.
Passengers on a drive long enough to need a charger probably want to charge while using their phone.
@@michaels7984 That would work for those people, but certainly not the case for all. There are those that will forget their charger cable or leave without their phone being fully charged and will be away from the vehicle for several hours. For a few pennies more, there could have been 2 chargers available.
The first Ford Explorer came out wayback in 1991 .
Durango hellcat or Srt variant in my opinion is a better vehicle especially if you have a family but also want to tow a camp trailer or boat.
But how are the headlights?!?!?!?
It would be nice if Ford offered an Explorer with a Coyote v8
Should have a 2 Terabyte SSD and allow use of a USB hub.
5k is just way too much for a roof to be painted black. Period.
I wish ford would get rid of that shift dial .
why would anyone want to drive one? some people drive so timid because they think you are a cop, so you get stuck behind slow people
I've heard that the exhaust pipes on police package Explorers are noticeably different than exhaust pipes on Explorers sold to the public. They look more commercial (less sporty than decorative exhaust pipes). Also, police tires tend to be a bit narrower (and higher profile, which you cannot see from the rear of the vehicle in front of you). Of course, look for police radio antennas and hidden red/blue lights in rear glass window..
I own one. I don’t care what people think
I wonder what the st would look like with a 1 inch lift kit with bigger tires?
Police cars do not have a roof rack/rails..........
@@jimmyPOUFAJones not always. The police interceptor yes but where I live many officers have base or XLT models up fitted with police equipment for their unmarked vehicles.
Wait did ford and Subaru team up on the wheels? 😂. Cuz the tr and st got the same vibe going on
The sporty looks without the performance to back it up may seem weird, but it's exactly where my interests and wallet align lol
Performance means nothing if your Ford is consistently in the shop.
Only a 5% power reduction when you use regular vs premium fuel.
The grey looks good. Not a huge fan of the wheels.
Total pieces of junk. I think Ford/Lincoln set a record for recalls between the Explorer and Aviator, to the point where Ford’s CEO made a public apology about their horrid quality control.
I drove a $62K ST and it had the most laughable interior I’ve seen on a vehicle that pricey. Worse than most $30K vehicles, to be honest. Performance wasn’t even that great either.
"Have you driven a Ford lately?" As the ad used to go.
