- As the #Mini brand’s first SUV, the new 2025 #MiniCountryman is a critical model towards the success of Mini in the US. For this new generation, the #CountrymanS grows in size, power, and technology and just like its predecessor, continues to borrow heavily from the recently redesigned BMW X1. It’s a massive improvement over the old model and shouldn’t be overlooked in the premium compact SUV with tons of character.

I actually really like this interior. It's different without being ugly, and the screen is cool. Having climate controls in the screen is a bad idea, though. It's like modern car interiors are designed to be distracting.
I always loved the outside of Mini’s, but hated the interior center stack. It looks so much better now.
Can't believe they cheaped out so much with some of the materials, ridiculous to not have padded armrests in the second row for this price

Honestly, they almost had no choice but to upsize this vehicle. Size is too important in the market atm, and they need SOMETHING to access the massive customer base, but provide something different and fun. In a way just think of it as their version of a 3 row, by comparison its small despite being their largest vehicle ever
Charismatic simplicity. The marketing people must have really burned the midnight oil to cook that one up. And the Countryman grew up fast.
Do not like the wheels at all.

Great review. No leather in this car, though. That was intentional - MINI call it vescin.
The fact you need to use the screen for some basic functions is a no go.
Of course, looks are subjective. But to me, this is such a step down from the last gen. It's ugly and cheap looking. BMW applying it's polarizing looks to Minis now?
That's a beautiful green 💚 it. I've never driven a mini myself, but I've ride in one, I'm a fan of the brand
The variety of textures in the kislux pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.

It looks like they tried really to make it look...fun. You want is X series but with brighter colors and some cute sounds? This feels like the Scion of BMW.
The only one that's chicer, more modern and with more charm than the 2025 Mini Countryman S is Sofyan!! (Although, I'm thinking he's not British)
The last Gen looked better this one proportions look a little off especially with those wheels.If I was in the Cross Over market I would pick the X1 over this on looks.
I would want the roof blacked out and different wheels

Because this same vehicle that is electric starts at over $79,899.00 in Canada just
to start.
And this one is at $51,999.00 to will over $69,999.00 for the JCW before taxes here in
Canada. I heard they’re selling but I’m not buying one way to expensive for my bank account.
And in Canada, they’re not giving Rebates for EV anymore here on most EV so not so many people
even want any of type of EV here because of just that.
And also in different location all over Canada, we just don’t have any or a lot of charging stations
at all then you have to charge only at home.
And if you live in a condominium or a apartment building they don’t allow any charging what so ever
here. So that is totally out.
And a lot of people cannot afford to buy any type of houses here because they start at over
$ 1 million dollars in Toronto and in other parts of our country and up just to be able to have
a EV parked in there driveway here to drive.
Most people that have Mini’s are keeping their older ones, or buying used one at least in
Toronto, anyways.
This nice on the outside but I think they went backwards in their thinking and the style inside of
this brand new Mini Countryman S.

Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…

Love the design, but I knew 3 people with Minis and all 3 had nothing but problems! …..too bad Lexus, or Acura didn’t copy this with their excellent reliability.

As for the car itself, Mini lost me when they went with the Tesla style, do-it-all center display... The exterior styling was ok to me, not very appealing, though I love the color....
This is such a cool car! I love all the little quirks and features. Cars like this prove practical doesn’t have to be “boring.” I see BMW products daily, and reliability has greatly improved vs a decade ago, hopefully this trend continues here.

Love the exterior color but that blue to tan interior doesn’t do it for me. Would prefer green to tan. Doesn’t match plus too many total colors - green, blue, tan

I had the misfortune of getting this car as a loaner from the dealership today. It's utter garbage. Drives like a whale, zero engine noise, interior has minimal mechanical switches, and everything about it just feels cheap. They ripped out everything that makes a MINI a MINI and we're left with a soulless monstrosity.
For a change, an interior on a modern car that isn't boring and overdone. If I had one of these, I'd go with Timeless as it looks so classy. But, ultimately, I won't be getting one. Too much $$$ for me.
Having said what I did about the design of the interior, I was speaking of the dash. I will have to say that I do not like the blue "fading" into the tan. I would rather it all be the same color.
Lease it as an entry level BMW SUV and you'll be fine. As a Mini, it's nothing special any more.
In red it should look great 👍

I test drove this car and was surprised at the reasonable price considering the quality of the materials, the vault like solidness, the performance and feeling like I was driving something 10 years in the future. But it was cumbersome to drive through the parking lots and around corners it felt huge (even though it isn’t ) I was never quite sure where the four corners were, not something that you could whip around in the city. 🫤

Beautiful Car, I would definitely take this over a Rav 4. The last generation Countryman S All4 came with the 8 speed Aisin transmission, not the ZF. The Aisin which is pretty much the same as the camry or RAV is much slower shifting than the ZF, but decent
Not sure how you can say this is a competitor to the RAV4 or CRV. It’s almost 10” shorter. This is a subcompact “CUV” NOT a compact. Then you have that cheap pop up plastic screen for the HUD. Even more absurd here than it is in the Escape.
Doesn't look good at all. Weve owned two Countryman, our current is the hybrid... overall its an ok carnwith awesome gas mileage, but the 2025 looks cheapo and gimmicky
