Hi man big fan of all your videos. I wanted to suggest the speech from the Rings of Akhaten with the 11th doctor. I always found it to be such an emotional speech especially with the Long Song playing in the background. Depite Smith being one of the youngest docotors that speech really made me feel the age, wisdom and pain of the doctor. I'd love to see your take on it. No matter what you do I look forward to seeing more of your content.
The man rambles out another great video. I think it would be cool if you could do a breakdown of whenever 'The Rains of Castamere' plays and maybe an analysis of the track itself. I've always found it so hauntingly beautiful.
I always loved the camera work of the trail. It starts by framing Tyrion as small and lorded over by the judges and witnesses, showing how powerless he is in this moment. It then slowly pushes in to him, giving that claustrophobic feeling (tieing your point of a cornered lion). As he looks to the crowd this denotes the change in balance, is he going to run or fight. As his speach properly starts he steps up in the frame, taking the power in the room. Hes gone from a small speck in the corning of the frame to now taking all of it. The next shots of the other characters are pushed to one side of the frame and zoomed out, like they are trying to flee the incoming rage. The only person to maintain their presence in frame is Tywin, who is desperately trying to control the situation. It ends with both of them battling for power through who can have the most amount of presence in frame, as it Jostles back and forth.
That is such an awesome take! I love how the camera is lower than usual when he turns to the crowd, you can see Dinklage's eye line is above the camera, its as if he is looking down on the public as he berates them. He's done trying to convince them he's innocent. The camera really is a character in its own right!
It really is. I think that's part of the reason the later seasons fell off for me (other than the more notable points), was the lack of camera use. I noticed a lot more excessive cutting, less dynamic movement and boring framing. Also really awesome video btw. I like how you have the script over the shot to really emphasize the word being said.
Hate to dunk on the layer seasons like everyone else but that's so true The lack of artistic expression in the things camera work was one of the indicators that the series was getting less polish
Yesss so iconic! & Jaime’s face when Tywin quickly agrees realizing he was hoping for this the whole time was also priceless!! I love how you included what Tywin said to Tyrion about Casterly Rock that is also iconic! Charles & Peter have the best chemistry!!
The reason Tywin is always "hateful" towards Tyrion is not because he's a Dwarf but because Tywin and Tyrion are more alike than they would like to admit. In the books this becomes clear when we are told that a previous hand of the king (probably Tywin) had a tunnel made to the brothel. The 2 man hate each other because they are so similar.
Would Tyrion have been of more use to the Night's Watch than killing Tywin/Shae and going to Varys, Illyrio and Daenarys? The books and tv show are a little confused on the details, but let's assume Tywin and Jaime's plan occur as planned
Thanks for watching guys!
What scene should I cover next!?

I've spent the day watching, rewatching and writing the script for a video on Rings of Akhaten, so watch this space 👀
@deltanomics, The Rains of Castamere is definitely on my list, I'll get round to that one soon I'm sure!
