What's your favorite piece of music from Game Of Thrones?
I just can't get over how good Light of the Seven is 👀

This was the last great episode. Even though they went off the rails from the books, this one was just flat out epic television from start to finish.

Even if I don't like where the series went, and this scene will never happen in the books (All the Dragon Fire was explicity removed from underneath the sept).
This is still such a wonderfull scene, I love it

It's notable that before this episode, the show had almost never had a piano carry the melody in a musical piece. The show's music is very string heavy.
The moment I heard the music start, I knew I was watching something special.

Yes I'm pretty sure it''s actually the very first time we hear the piano at all in the musical language of this show!
Also the organ is not an instrument used much in the show at all, we hear it twice before in this session in relation to Cersei, so the combination between the two creates such a unique feel for the show

is this a great scene? yes. does it make sense in the story? not really. does it have the consequences it should have? not at all. i like the scene on its own but at the same time its a great example of how game of thrones already makes little sense before season 7 and 8

@@RamblingManYT killing off characters is a game of thrones thing, ending entire storylines without a real conclusion isnt. the tyrell storyline has been here for 5 seasons and the sparrows storyline for 2 and they keep building up to nothing. with the sparrows it might fit but the tyrells being written of like this is insane. but the bigger problem is what it all leads to, cersei being queen i can understand because she is the only one with power present but the other houses siding with her is crazy at the best of times, but now with a contender in daenerys arriving in westeros its just stupid. the tyrells are really powerful and even if most of them would be killed the remaining tyrells with the support of the reach which is arguably more powerful than the lannisters without them having lost many soldiers in battle the past year, and who also have a lot of capable military commanders unlike the lannisters who just lost kevan, would have no problem overthrowing them and siding with dany since they owe a lot to the targaryens and were targaryen loyalists in the first place. it basically comes down to cersei without a good claim with a relatively weak army who just killed members of very powerful houses and the high sparrow, meaning she angered both the high and lowborn people, against dany who does have a strong claim and a really strong army and people just choose cersei anyways. meaning this event had 0 impact on the storys progression all it does is end a storyline
