Hey Big "B". She looks faster for sure but she's definitely running dry. I ran my Sonic over the weekend and I was ready for a day of tuning and tinkering, but she ran gracefully right from the get go. I'm running the same motor and ESC as you, but I used bigger 8000 mAh Zeee 100C 3S packs fitted in the middle of the battery tray along with a 4416 prop. She ran a little on the wet side but still turned 54 MPH on the GPS. I had a couple of blow overs when heading against the wind but she was a bullet down wind. I've got her past 60 with the same setup and a DASBOATA ABC prop so I know your Sonic has a lot more to give. I'm considering ordering a TFL strut to provide more adjustability, but truthfully, I'm happy with the way she's running. I don't consider the SonicWake to be a true race hull. She's the RC boat equivalent to an ARMMA Outcast or Traxxas Maxx. Designed to inspire confidence by knowing you can run it like you stole it without worrying about having to retrieve the boat in a blow over. I love that you post videos in the morning because it gives me something to look forward to while I sip my coffee. You have the most inspiring RC Boat channel out there my friend and your personality is infectious! Please keep it up!
I agree she was running to dry for sure then I drove the nose down and she started skipping like a rock on water lol. That's the first run on 6s with the new electronics, the only tuning I did was what you saw in the video. Really just feeling the boat out. Those are some good number on your sonic wake, 👌 hopefully I can get out tomorrow evening, give her another shot. Thanks for watching brother
You’ll get it Big B, when I finally got mine to not skip it was going so fast it still hit wake and helicoptered then cracked hull, I’m ready for this journey for the sweet spot, it’s kinda like finding Animal Chin ( skaters reference if you know it)
I ran the SonicWake yesterday with the proboat veles/ul-19 prop stock electronics and a 6s 80c 5100mah lipo and hit 53 mph. I have install the trim tab adjusters and the boat ran flat and fast. Posting video now
Great channel...watching closely I have a sonicwake also are you adding an adjustable stinger from rc boat bitz? I have questions. Added to mine but not sitting flush with transom.
Mad lizard has a great stinger upgrad instalation video. ua-cam.com/video/XfDqLeL5aSA/v-deo.html. He has a couple other sonicwake install videos as well. I should be upgrading the stinger very soon
@@IRONCLADRC I saw that tfl install may end up getting that set up...I couldn't find anything using the rc boatbitz setup....following along see what you go with...
Hey iron clad how you doing ? where can I get the larger size water line from I just picked up SR80PRO and the stock water hose is so small need to upgrade, Thanks.
Good day bud where do u recommend buying props i have a vector 70 coupple atomics .i have coupple props for my zelous 2 fin prop made hudge difference way faster less tourk role
Thankyou i was checking them out for esc to go in my zelous they have few different 300 watt escs i guess it up to money i want to spend and i have found u better buy good or u buy twice when it comes to escs lol thanks dude for reply i appreciate it
Those trim tabs are useless. Always start with level trim tabs and level strut. First thing is to bend the starboard tab down to compensate the torque, then adjust the strut to lift the nose, then lastly to level off the ride you then adjust the tabs to suit. The turn fins in the water a little help to stop chine walk. I have 100+mph boats and this tuning is how it’s done.

Loving the test & tune sessions buddy.
Also loving your slow motion "Oooooooooh!" When she flipped 😍 😅
Lol it was a terrible run, first 6s rip withthe new electronics. Lol. FAIL
I like the slow motion too I play the video on my big screen TV so I can really see what's going on with the boat in a run so I can tune accordingly.
Best way to keep the prop on is to use a spring washer. This keeps the pressure on even when the nut is coming slightly lose.
That’s wicked sweet!!
*There are so many really cool boats!
Good music and video shooting is very cool.
I like the Titanic better!~*
Sweet boat

I know animal chin. And yes sir we're gonna find her GSpot. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow evening

Just watched it. Nice clean run. That's more than I can say about my 6s run. Lol. The trimtab adjustment a must. good speed to brother 👌

I have the exact same batteries, what’s your run time on them
As soon as you find the sweet spot, it's time to upgrade everything again
Lol that sounds about right.
Hey iron clad how you doing ? where can I get the larger size water line from I just picked up SR80PRO and the stock water hose is so small need to upgrade, Thanks.
I get mine from OFFSHORE ELECTRIC heres a link www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=mo-color-tub
Oh boy, They got the V2 available now. Has some upgrades. Including dual cooled bigger motor
Yea .an the V2 looks legit. It should be coming to the channel soon
the angle of your rudder has a different effect in your turns it will either lift the bow or stuff it
Yep that's calledl rudder canter rudder canted forward will push the bow down In a turn and canted back will lift the boat in a turn.

Your right about that better to buy quality than cheap China stuff that shorts out the first time it gets wet. Good luck with your build brother
This probably already been mentioned but maybe some weight on the front.
I will try the battery's moved forward

I know how to tune a boat brother I appreciate the help. I just re- powered the boat first outing with the "Big block" thanks for watching IRONCLAD RC
Pete!😂
I like your videos but the repeating of words definitely gets old.
Sorry.
Hey buddy you don't have to watch. MY names not Pete. Find another boat channel to critique
Better yet you start a youtube channel and see how tough it is to edit videos & keep people entertained.
