Regarding the Dasbota props, they are supposed to be outstanding (as long as the boat is tuned for "speed") for SAW, but definitely not for racing. This is because, from all I've read (ie. forum posts from people actually owning these props), they are sharpened & shaped for "top speed". Unfortunately, my own personal interactions with the individual has been less than stellar - he is arrogant, and I will NOT purchase from him (and, I know of several others who say the same thing). This is NOT knocking his work...I have seen his work, and, it IS excellent...but, I will not deal with people like that. At for RC Boat Bitz, I will DEFINITELY purchase from them.
@@RCBoatBitz True, true. Will be ordering at least one, asking work some other items. Hopefully, you're able to 'recover' my missing order history before then...but, if not, no worries, as I'm still be placing that order. 🤙🏼
Great vid on the props. I have a dasbota sonic 1 prop, it’s an Octura x445 cut down to 43-44 millimeters, prob same one you tested. What stinger angle and trim tab settings did you use. Would appreciate your feedback and Lipo placement as in forward or back of the centre of gravity. Thanks
@RCBoatBitz true , just makes me wonder how much faster those props improve the speed because it's a big increase on some boats like , over 20 ks easy. I can see it and say the swear words .ha,ha, thanks for your work mate .
@@RCBoatBitz still haven’t tried mine and its BoatBitz trim tabs 🤔. I took it two time on my real boat and it was impossible to bind… I then learnt that there is giro in the stock receiver and if the BJ42 is not completely level and is not moving at all (difficult on a real boat…), then it cannot bind (even with the AVC disabled 💩)… I had to change the receiver… should be ok now 😁
@@Serialcrasher ive never heard of that, i did have to fit a new receiver to this one last week and it was simple to bind, maybe i got lucky for once...
@@RCBoatBitz There is a UA-cam video from Spektrum on it (seems I cannot paste the link here), called How to disable AVC. At 3minutes and 55seconds they explain it
Excellent video comparison.. I'll be purchasing some props from you now. Are you running stock electronics ,i couldn't tell if the esc was aftermarket.. also, best prop for a spartan for speed/efficiency?
My proboat is no where near as smooth as yours. It takes water, engine heats up very fast and I’m hearing grinding/gurgling noises. Any suggestions? Don’t say throw it away😂
I love sonicwakes, would never say throw it away. Mine runs smooth because it has our upgrade kit installed, larger trim tabs and fins. Also our upgrade rudder in that kit has 4 pickups feeding 2 outlets for twice the water pressure/flow so it stays cool. The grinding noise is coming from your drive shaft so grease it well, i usually add a spray of wd40 as well. As for the leak that could be a split hose or damaged grommet where the brass tube goes through, do a static test in the bath

I gotta say i was genuinely blown away that ours performed so much better, just shows the most expensive isnt always the fastest

Great video comparison.
Thankyou sir
Excelente Boat.
Fantastic footage, surprising as well.
Ever do the same test on a Zonda-R??
I dont have an area large enough to test that lind of speed
Awesome video/ great test thanks for posting 👍
Love the videos man! Where did you get the red Upgrades for the trim tabs, the rudder etc.
My website is www.rcboatbitz.com
Everything you see in the videos is for sale on there
Good testing video!! Interesting results!!! So its Stage 1 for SW2 and Stage 2 for Impulse..with your setups!!
Yep, ill be taking that stage 2 off the s/w page now i found this out, but its definately the one to use on impulse. Now to crack the bj42 out

Everything was set at zero degrees, i cant remember battery position
I need a Gps , on some boats those Rcbb props make a huge difference. Temps are always cooler to.
I would never have a reason to own a gps if i wasnt selling upgrades, knowing the exact top speed of a boat doesnt make it more fun to use

Would be nice to do something similar for the BlackJack 42 😁
Might be a good excuse to wipe the dust off our bj42

Yes all stock, theres an upgrade prop in our traxxas categories that will boost your spartan
How do I purchase a stage 1 from you? The website says how to stock. Must I contact you directly? Thanks
Will have stock again in about 1 week
Nice comparison, what sizes are the stage 1 and stage 2 props. I want to know which prop of yours i already own, i think mine is a 4814?
Those are our new pm range, 46 and 48mm 1.4, theyre 10 -20% faster than normal cnc 1.4p
Information.❤ Brilliant 🎉
Can you help me tell if I have a battery limitation of 2200 mAh, how many kV and ESC value I use to get speed, please help answer, thank you sir
I wanna buy a boat and can’t decide between a shreddy, sonic wave or impulse. I will want to push for speed and bashing at same time
I dont know what 'bashing' means but theyre all good boats so watch as many youtube videos as you can then decide
Would the stage 1still be a good fit on a sonicwake v1 with 1650kv motor?
No stage 2 is better for that motor, will be available again in 1 week
How much do them batteries cost that you are using please let us know
We dont sell them sorry

Hi, what size is the stage 1 prop?
