Hi, I have installed this system in my room. For now, I have a problem. I don't have any backup plan in case there is no electricity or wifi connection to this device if I get locked from the outside of the room. Can you help me by suggesting what can I add to this device to solve the problem? Thank you
Hi, with your system, the door is only locked when the power is on? If I disable it, the door is open? If the sonoff is ON, the power over the lock is in continuous?
@@tonygeek3253 This is not a yes or now question, because the guy didn't get it right about how SV works. The door is locked when SONOFF SV is off, which means the power is off. When SV is on, the lock is part of the circuit.
Yes. You can see when he connects the multimeter at 0:11 that it reads 12 volts. Also, you can reference the website at www.itead.cc/smart-home/sonoff-sv.html which shows the PCB's with the voltage listed.
I used 12V 500mA plug, it didn’t work. I mean there was no light on smart switch. Then I tried with 220V and the lock burned. :( I don’t understand, What’s wrong?
If you put mains voltage into the Sonoff SV then you have fried it. It's only designed for low voltage applications. If you tried to operate a Sonoff Basic with 12V it won't work as it is a mains powered device.
what happens if i connect GPIO 14 TO GND on a non modified (stock firmware) sonoff? will it go to default state? I need my sonoff device to switch off all appliance if i connect GPIO 14 TO GND .. is it possible ?
i bought two units. and none of them work. I am feeding in 8.4V but not even the LED starts to do anything. Help and/or support from the seller is useless as they don't care for such a small priced unit
Dracvla Bland yes. The manual says remove transistors for external power supply, What it meant was to remove them and bridge them with wires (duhh!?). Also changed to old Nokia Power supplies at 5V. Also dont switch + and - polarity...it'll mess things up. Also if you need the SV as a switch ONLY connect to the OUT side of the unit. When soldering to the board make sure to solder properly to ensure connection to the front and the back of the board. That's my learnings and mistakes in a nutshell
Great video. What if solenoid doesn't have positive and negative wires, polarity switches them around?
Can i use this in led lights or fan?
Hello Can it be connected with bluetooth ? In case wifi is down ?
can we make the doorlock open and close from anywhere plz answer its very urjent
You can do this by app remote control.
Probably the lock will need wifi connection
After setting this up, are you able to use this from anywhere in the world? Or do you have to be connected to your home wifi router?

Hello sir i want to buy one for my project, can the door lock be customize by arduino ?
could you make a video about ioBroker in english?
Where I can buy those Lock?
12v ?mA
Could I connect a contact read switch to this board? If so, to which terminals. Thanks!

@@Iteadstudio instead of linking a 10 min revenue vid you should just answer a simple yes or no question... is not all about profits u know...

Can you use this to unlock on a specific date instead of a specific time? for example, I want the lock to open on July 15 2019
You must specify the time, while you can also specify the date, or Mon-Sun.
Can I know what kind of power supply did he use? 12v? Anyone?
Yes. You can see when he connects the multimeter at 0:11 that it reads 12 volts. Also, you can reference the website at www.itead.cc/smart-home/sonoff-sv.html which shows the PCB's with the voltage listed.
Hi sir do i need a wifi router in home to use this or can i connect my phone directly without router??
You can use another smart phone as hotspot as well. The SV device needs to be connected to the internet but it doesn't necessarily require a router.
Would this power 4 of these solenoids
How does the wifi work
What did you mean?

Where can I get the plug
Wait, wait, wait, I thought the sonoff switch only work with 100V AC to 300V AC. It work with 12V DC too?
redstone craft guy - Sonoff basic works with mains voltage but they are using a Sonoff SV (safe voltage) model which takes 4-24V dc.
It supports 5-24V voltage input, max 10A. While I don't know the output power, it should be the same as input.
Is the SONOFF SV support rf ?
Hello, it doesn't support.
great and chip idea !
