I did something like that. Also installed door access panels for work. I came up with something you might like or to help you. Use 2 leds and a mosfet to make a opto relay. It works great with white leds from 1/4 to 2" or more but it can be used to keep you from running wire to the lock on the door if it runs on batteries. My card reader was on the door frame, antenna in door frame inside. The led was pointed at the led on the door, then mosfet to lock button. Now bright like or a flash light on led will unlock too. Now to power the batteries on the door? A wireless power transmitter from ebay????
Is the lock battery powered? I'm trying to find a solution for a lock that can still support regular key, while not relying on batteries that needs to be replaced or recharged
Use a storm door closure to always close your door for you, and get rid of the lower turn handle and opt for just a pull handle since the deadbolt will do all the needed security.
New York Junky by the time I graduated, there were five electronic door lock companies (August, Lockitron, Kwikset, and two more) and I did not have the expertise or budget to outexecute them. I interviewed with Lockitron but they didn’t offer a job either.
Is it possible for you to post which pins on the morning industry remote control triggers the lock/unlock? I actually would like to reproduce your project.

My lock was confiscated after three years of having it =/ And I moved into other apartments with just a deadbolt on the door. This doesn't work if you just put a deadbolt on the door--you need a regular latch too. I wasn't willing to modify the doors of the other apartments.

When I opened the lock saw the same hardware..but different micro controller since my lock is only keypad entry only versus the one you use was with RFID. I want to send a signal via wemos or sonoff to actuate the lock..any idea where to tap into the lock so when I send a signal via app , the door will lock or unlock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
with a lack of documentation, your chances of finding a secret pin or command are slim. I would try to trigger the lock's keypad buttons with the entry keycode. hopefully the buttons don't light up, giving away the code. I would also buy a Lockitron Bolt instead. it's likely more hacker friendly on the inside. ask them before you buy it.
We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
So if a stalker hacked your stuff they could see when you entered and exited your house daily plot that out and rob you when your least likely to be home.
After all this, all I accomplished was making my toaster sentient. Also, my neighbor has a metal plate in his head, from an accident he clams I caused from an unrelated attempt to turn a ‘74 Pinto into a time machine. Every time I unlock my doors, also his car for some reason, the toaster freaks out and starts to vibrating at a frequency that affects his visual cortex and causing him to have hallucinations of zombie squirrels. My question, does anyone have any idea how I did this so I can recreate it and weaponize it?
none of the locks will open without power. at that point, only battery backups, mechanical keys, and cats that can open doors from the inside can save you.
That sounds terrible , I propose a solution , Why can't you have a hand crank outside your building but close to the door , So when the power is out and the backup battery is also out , You can crank a motor to generate enough power to verify the HID and unlock the door. No harm even if someone cranks it for fun. This means your new version of the system should run with just a 9v battery.
Antony Jr. That's a good idea. Several hotel doors have electronic locks too and have backup power terminals on the front so that the door can be powered with an external battery
@@antonyjr.devlogs5957 - Crank is a good idea. I was thinking of external battery terminals for a lock I'm doing but I'm worried somebody might tie the 6.5KV distribution line into it. Hand crank seems a lot safer.
No because I kept the mechanical key in my wallet just in case. I had to use it twice during the year. My friends were there during one of the failures. I never diagnosed it.

The future should really be something like a ring you wear. Your door and also things like your tablet or PC unlock automatically when you approach.
You can lose a ring, better to embed a chip in the forehead or right hand.

What will you do if you have no power ? Will the system unlock all doors or will it lock you out until power returns ?

The door lock runs on batteries. The card reader uses 5W so that is connected to wall power

Miralem Sestovic it's not an algorithm assembly program. It's just a chart making program called Lucid Chart. I turned it into source code manually
