Love the way you teach. Your presentation is excellent. It is so easy to follow. You’re not too fast. You’re not too slow. It’s up and close so we can see it. It’s wonderful thank you so much.😊
The peeling paint on those doors looked like mosaic tiles to me. That door handle was beautiful!! Anything with detail like that is a great find! And all those locks on that door, yet the window was shattered, and you could walk right in. Great video and pictures.
You made my day ❣️ I am 64. Been crocheting for 56 yrs off and on. I don't do that many different stitches. I get intimidated. I can't read a pattern. You have changed it all. My beanies have always been the rectangular double crochet. Cinched at the top. I finished yours and it's beautiful. Christmas presents are on the way. Thank you so much. Looking forward to seeing and learning more from you❣️ thank you again! HAPPY HOOKING 😊
I love this pattern! I've made lots of hats with fancy stitches, but when it's cold outside, they can be drafty. This hat is nice and toasty for my brothers who are follicly challenged. Thank you so much!❤
I, too, much prefer hats that don't have to be gathered at the top, and start at the crown, ending with the brim. They are the only kind of hat patterns I use now. You are an excellent teacher. Thanks and God bless.
It turned out perfectly! Really easy and fast. My final row I used half double crochet in each stitch, and it made a clean trim. I have never been a fan of post stitches, but I gave it a try. You're clear instruction was very helpful. Thank you!
I love this hat, I just made one longer than the bottom of my ears and made a cuff fold. warmer ears, the stretch is awesome. Just started another one. The stretch is nice because it fits a smaller head or a bigger one. I made several of your waffle pattern hats, but as far as fit goes this is much easier. I just left the bottom as is and folded it up. Thank you!
This is a fantastic tutorial. I notice some people are doubting the size. I have made several of these beanies and after round 6 when you have 72 stitches if it measures 5.5"-6" it will fit a adult head. Also it takes a while for it to take the shape of a beanie it might look like a "saucer" just keep going around and make sure you maintain 72 stitches you'll be good to go✔️💯
@KiyoNanni Yes it should indeed my head is roughly the same circumstance. Of course it depends on your tension I have fairly tight tension and it fits me great. This hat has a fair bit on stretch once completed.
@@walterwhite5100 thank you for you comment. I decided to change the hook size to K from round 7, to make it large enough to fit a head circumference of 23", and it turned out too large, and my son in law was "swimming' in it, so I went back down to hook size J, and it worked out just fine. In the video instructions, no mention was made of the head circumference this pattern would fit, for instance from head circumference 22 " to 23". For me, my head circumference is 21.5 and I had to go down to hook size I for the final 3 rows. All good now!
My goodness!! Thank you for that info. I was so worried I was in the middle of making a doily, so I started reading all the comments. 😂 I absolutely love this pattern.
Thank you soooo much! I cannot wait to begin this hat! I am currently working on your earflap hat pattern for warmth, just finishing the basic video. 🙂 I have to say, that in every one of your videos, I learn a wonderful "nugget" - a tip or technique that makes everything easier or looking better. I am becoming a more confident crocheter, thanks to you!
Mentioning new tips from FiSpi… I ❤️the way you, FiSpi, use the crochet hook in such a way for it to be an extension of your finger tips! A really economical movement (for speed & using less energy) -so clever😊Those lovely hooks & you ❤each other!?! Wish I could use them (even if you still can buy those partic ones…)but they twizzle around in my hand too much & I lose direction! Thank you j c 🦜🦜
Just finished making this, same yarn but in a blue color! I decided to do a couple rounds of half double crochet as a brim. Love how squishy this beanie is!
I absolutely love this beanie pattern. I too am not a fan of the “floppy hat” and am so glad I found your channel. I am forever making beanies this way. Thank you kindly for this beautiful pattern.
Great pattern, I've made a few and everyone loves how thick and stretchy it is! Love your clear calm instructions and that I can click on the separate rows for reference.
FABULOUS Pattern! It's been a very long time since I've Crocheted, as I mostly knit anymore. And, I've never done the fpdc and bpdc stitches. BUT ... your explanations and demonstrations were SUPERBLY clear and I just sailed through it like I'd been doing those stitches forever! THANK YOU for your EXCELLENT teaching techniques!! I Absolutely LOVE this hat and it will probably be my go-to choice from now on, replacing the regular k2-p2 Knitted ribbed hat I've made for years! BEAUTIFUL Hat! BEAUTIFUL Tutorial! Thank You, again! AWESOME!!!
me too. I use cotton yarn and I have to figure out how many extra loops I need as it is not usually DK weight/size. my hair gets electrified from other non cotton yarns 😵💫
Hi Craig, love your ribbed hat. Thanks for sharing, so kindhearted of you. You are so talented and can not wait to see what you come with next. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week.~~Sindy.
Fantastic pattern, tried it and it's just the perfect hat. Thank you so much for all your effort in keeping it structured and explained with calm & patience. Much appreciated 😃
This is the second hat I've made from your videos. Such great directions. You make it so easy to follow. Consider showing the hat being worn in your videos for all of us very visual people. Thank you!
This is a great video, I am fairly new to crochet (other than a blanket) and I found this tutorial so easy to follow. I was very nervous I'd mess it up but it was just so easy. Not all videos can do that so well done to you! Thank you so much.
So squishy, beautiful, Thank You!!! I have learned so much from you. You make it so easy. This is my therapy. I make, them love them, and then give them away.
I made this pattern before I saw your tut, but I couldn't quite see how to do the increases, which is why I came looking. 😂 😍 There was one thing I came up w/ tho that might make this hat just a tad warmer w/out sacrificing electricity? In the the in-between stitches, where the increases go, make the stitches from the BACK: instead of going for the yarn w/ the hook from the front like we usually do, go for the yarn through the gap from the back, & pull the yarn through the that way, as if you were going to do a back post. When you see the row done that way, you'll see the stitches closing up the gaps much better, meaning less air flow in those rows. A great advantage when those folks have to spend any time outdoors with these hats! ❤ It was just a chance I took because I couldn't remember how I did an old pattern I made for an old friend! I hope it's easy to understand. Otherwise, I'll try to post a cpl of pics to show what i mean. I'm not great at social media.😅
Toasty woasty, I love it. I have just finished a beany in mustard, it looks great, can't wait for winter😁 I loved the tutorial and his easy teaching style. I also love all the options, they are explained so well too. Happy crocheting everyone👌😁
I really like this one! I can't wait to try it! It would also make a pretty pot holder, dish cloth or face cloth if you continued the increases up to your desired size. Sooo can't wait to play with this stitch!
I made this with LB Wool Ease, using a smallish hook I added two increase rows. The hat turned out fabulous. I finished with about four rows of third loop hdc. It's not a particularly feminine hat, but it will keep my head warm. Thank you so much for this great pattern!!!!!
Love this pattern! Thanks for a great tutorial that was easy to follow. I added 3 rows of hdc to the bottom of my hat & liked the way it finished it off. I also just crocheted up a hot pad using only the increased rounds of this pattern using cotton yarn. A keeper! Nice and thick. Works up quick & easy.
This is my #1 go-to hat when I want to make some fun, quick, and easy. Great tutorial, love the pattern. I've made a bunch of them and will continue to make more. 🙂 Thanks so much!
Thank you for this pattern. I just finished my first every sinple crochet hat and I love it. I had another ball of yarn and wanted to try something a little more challenging. I fount this video. I loved your instructions, no nonsense and very clear. I enjoyed learning from you!!!😁🤩
Always glad to see this pattern. I have been making this pattern in its many variations for at least forty years and trying to spread the word. Thank you for posting it so that more people can learn this wonderful pattern. It also works very well in all front post, or front post with ribbing at the bottom, or even a sort of basket weave. My personal preference is for 14 stitches at the beginning, and seven lines of increase, which, yes, show up sharply. Also, over time, I worked out how to work this pattern as a spiral, so there is no obvious line where you move to the next row. Try it!
I’m a beginner to crochet and the first time to your channel. You made this so easy to follow so thank you so much. I have just subscribed and will hopefully do more.
Just oh my gosh I finally after years and years of crocheting hats I found my favorite thank you so much this pattern is awesome and so are you you teach great thank you thank you
Thank you for this beautiful pattern!! I remember the first pattern I followed on UA-cam of a shawl that came out so beautifully. I do free beanies for free and a different pattern always makes my heart beat faster….ESPECIALLY if it so well represented and easy to follow🎉🎉🎉🎉
Picked up crocheting recently. This hat is the first thing I've completed. Your instructions are great. I want to do another with a lighter weight yarn, and I'm guessing I'll need an extra increase. The one I just finished, an hour ago, is a bit snug but I imagine it will relax as I wear it. I look forward to taking in some of your other projects.

Finally a Ribbed hat without that Nasty bump on top. I love it. Thank u so very much
Thank you for showing us so clearly and repeating the parts that need a little practice to get right! Crocheting is better than caffeine!! :D

@@CostaWanti but there aren’t many teachers out there like Craig…. So I’ll stick with him…. Thanks anyway for the tip!!
