The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Please seriously read Dr Richard Carrier's peer reviewed book on the historicity of Jesus... the evidence for Jesus's existence is VERY iffy and nearly nonexistent, despite traditional views... mythicism has a LOT OF crackpots claiming ridiculous things, BUT Carrier is not a Crank. His studies are meticulous and open minded and the conclusions were shocking even to HIM (Carrier). I'm a former Christian, but have ZERO animosity towards the Faith (my wife's father is a Hindu turned Protestant minister in Northeastern India), but Christianity makes no sense to me personally. In my past, I WANTED Christianity to be true so badly, but when I investigated it obsessively to PROVE it, I realized it was not only NOT provable, but not even likely to be true. If Christianity soothes a person and motivates them to be giving, loving people, then I'm all for it. But, when Christians get under the spell that they are the only way and all others are damned, etc, then that is a spiritual immaturity that needs ironed out, or else is divisive and counterproductive to LOVE (out of ignorance). The real truth is that Consciousness Itself is Primal and we live in a nondualistic reality... matter, people, and everything which can be perceived is INSIDE Consciousness... all is in the One Mind, such as when our dream avatars play out their parts in the dreamer’s dream. No need for redemption or reward, because all is "God" playing out the roles of the universe. God is the only "doer" and is all there ultimately is. We are literally God wearing the various masks of our seemingly individual egos. All is merely play. If curious what the heck I'm speaking of, please research Bernardo Kastrup (for a modern perspective on nondualism), or read Alan Watts ("The Book") or delve into Advaita Vedanta via the principle Upanishads of Sanatana Dharma (Nondual Hinduism).

I am very surprised that there are this many students listening to this talk and this gives me encouragement. I really thought there would be studnets yelling to interrupt and stop this important message. God bless.

It seems to me there are two distinct possibilities.
Either there is no god and these myths are exactly that myths. Or you have a god that's claimed wishes to have a relationship with his creation.
He wants us to live our lives in a certain way with regard to morals , worshipers ect. This god think that the best way to convey this vital message to us is via a book of scriptures.
This book he knows will reach me as copies of translations of copies of translations of an original oral tradition.
And to all intensive purposes will appear to be the myths and beliefs of ignorant superstitious primative tribesmen, just like all the thousands of others.
This book will contain testimonies that are unsigned, for the most part hearsay and written by we dont know who. It will contains talking snakes and talking donkeys giants witches magic and zombies.
It will appear to some to have questionable ethics with regard to endorsement of slavery infanticide genocide ect.
This book will also disagree with science on many different subjects like origins and age of the earth , how the diversity of life came about basic cosmology ect ect.
The hero of this book will appear to be very similar to all the other proposed demigods born of virgins from earlier pagan deities, and will be serving a very specific purpose vicarious redemption ( or scapegoating) a practice that apears to be an imoral concept in itself .And a form of which , was already being practiced in the area.
Anyway god seemingly thinks that the best way for him to be able to forgive man, for breaking rules that god knew in advance that they would break when he made those rules. Is to send a version of himself down to earth then sacrifice himself to himself. Thus preventing his need to punish his creations for something their ancestors did before they knew the difference between right and wrong. 🤔

Our hero and the stories about him though are not for everyone as this god is predominantly concerned about one particular tribe of people called jews and one little area of the Mediterranean. The aborigines, Asians ect dont seem to important.

I'm an Atheist and also believe it good to hold intellectual respectful discourse.
The problem is that for many theists any questioning of their theology is seen as an attack. They automatically hold the default position that I as a non believer am an evil Sinner. That my purpose is to decieve not to understand and that my beliefs are based upon ignorance or incredulity of biblical scripture.
Sure they are more than happy to initialy engage me in debate however i usually find the more the discourse exposes the fallacious nature of theological beliefs the more aggressive dismissive and insulting they become.
@@trumpbellend6717 Your statement shows that you don't understand what is being said. The default position is not that *you alone* as an unbeliever are a sinner, bit that all of us have rejected Him and are sinners because *all of us* have done that.
Perhaps your position, which places you in a defensive mindset has blinded you to other truths that God's children are trying to share with you. After all, it is a universal truth that nobody (broad generalization) wants to be told they're wrong and have to admit they're in need of correction.
That doesn't mean that what you're saying isn't all wrong because all of us have fallen short and have difficulty accepting our need for correction. So yes, this applies to followers of Christ too. But the fact that you present only the errors of the people whom you are evangelizing to, shows that you have many blind spots as well.

As a Christian woman of colour who has lived in a low income household for most of my life - I totally disagree with the idea that I strengthened my faith in Christ just to rebuttal the "white man's approach". How ignorant and even racist. As a woman of colour, I have never been oppressed, and I have always believed in God. I grew in my faith because I wanted a relationship with God, I wanted to know who he was, I wanted to understand what he did for me and what he excepts of me. I wanted to know what the truth was. I don’t get arrogance from Cliff, I get confidence that He can make a strong argument for Christ based on his faith and the Holy Spirit and of course the evidence of God. Cliff not only knows God through Jesus Christ, he also knows the other religions and their philosophies. If you don’t really know what you are talking about, you shouldn’t get into a long debate with a person who you realize knows more than what you do on the subject. You should just ask questions. That way you will learn without being intimidated.

I'm going to stop here because I could literally go on for hours. They disagree and have different opinions with regard to all of the above that's precisely WHY they have different denominations. *ITS ALL SUBJECTIVE*
All these different gods and denominations past and present offer differing morality that has nothing to do with human wellbeing but often contradict and conflict with each other on almost every issue.
If YOU want to claim your particular god as the objective reference point for morality. You first have to demonstrate *objectively* that YOUR particular god EXISTS and is infact THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and *not merely the only true god in your subjective opinion*

Jesus is true when he says "they hate me with out a cause". Eventhough, the young man was respectful in his conversation but he made it clear he doesn't want Jesus to be true. Not only that, he wants Jesus to earn his trust eventhough he did it 2000 years ago by dying in the cross for the sins of all human beings.

The second question is… if God created everything why did he create evil? Does Light create darkness? Does heat create cold? No and No. God did not create evil. God allows evil, which He indirectly created to take its course. He in His *Divine Wisdom* doesn't stop suffering. Because we are here for a short time. And we are here to be developed and tested. For there is no possible way we can grow up and mature without trials and tribulations. Just receiving good will spoil us and cause us to lose our souls.
Here's a fair question: 🔹️ How would God know who belongs to Him if He does not try us with evil to see our reactions? 🔹️How would God know who is loyal to Him and fit for the kingdom of heaven if He does not test us ???

I tell you this. That young man does NOT want to believe that Jesus is real because for some reason homosexuality IS the big one. I can say that because I was in his boat for MORE THAN half my life 12-40 (I just turned 41, and no long want to practice that lifestyle) Out of ALL of my sins this one is the ONLY one you feel when one is confronted about it. I never felt the drinking, drugs, I felt bad when I lied I hated it cheated in games, tests etc, gossiped, you name it. None of those sins had weight to it the way this one is. And I wasn't even the type to see it as my identity. More like I really really love her, and I don't want to let it go, but knowing we ought not to be and not wanting to let go. Boy I just can even explain it here,, either way HE KNOWS, he really knows he just doesn't want to let it in cause he doesn't want to let go of what he likes. I hope I made sense.

But the truth of the matter is the only one that shouldn't exist in an age of science & knowledge is the Atheist (No God) position.
God is just a title meaning First, creator, sustainer, it is however a title that people have a lot of baggage with so rather than use that title I will use a synonym of that title "Source".
A source does not need to be able to think or feel or be personal or have personhood, but a source a first that results in a chain that creates and sustains the universe is required.
Universe either started requiring a source or the universe is eternal in which it is the source.
Either way a source is needed each group may call this source something different and claim different things about it but each group agrees a source is required so the only position that should logically not exist is the Atheist (No Source) position, we can dispute about features, attributes, functions of the source but we cannot logically deny a source exists.
Just to be ahead of the whole Atheist meaning, people say they're Atheist but what they should say is they are Anti-Theist because that is generally what they are, I just used what most will understand and even added (No God)/(No Source) for clarity and I will provide even more clarity and define the positions so you can understand how it is not lack of belief but a lack of consideration that makes someone an atheist aka the ignorant position.
All people are Atheists, same as: All criminals are innocent - True for every crime they didn't commit except that is not how we operate, one is enough to be something. 1 crime = Criminal, 1 Child = Parent, 1 Answer = Apologist. Atheist is a passive position that a baby or child has until they ask, God? At which point God has entered the world view thus no longer passive, no longer atheist, it's like virginity once its gone you never get it back. You than become either Anti-Theist, Agnostic or Theist.
Follows no God but rejects at least 1 God claim = Anti-Theist
Follows at least 1 God, rejects all other God claims = Theist
Considers God but doesn't accept or reject any God claim = Agnostic
Doesn't Consider any God claim at all = Atheist
The reality of the situation is true on its own and does not require you to agree thus disagreeing because you think, feel or want different is meaningless, so if you just want to disagree and argue than you're wasting your time as your thoughts, wants or feelings on the matter do not affect it at all.

How do you find objective morality? The same way you find objective reality.
Reality is what three or more in isolation can agree on without conspiring = Objectively true.
With objective truths it doesn't matter if you agree with them or not that is the beauty of them and why they work e.g. Take a tree ask three different people separately one at a time to describe that thing over there if they describe the same thing then that thing is objectively real, with only two people one could be colour blind leading to two opposing reports "it's a blue thing", "it's a red thing", that is why a minimum of three is needed.
The more people aka the majority who report the same information on what that thing over there is without conspiring (Talking to each other) reveals that thing is real aka reality and that means it's an objective truth which is how you were able to discover it to be real in the first place.
(Note: Discovering the truth not creating it)
Similarly you don't find morality by asking people what they will allow to happen to others you find morality by observing what they won't allow others to do to them.
A thief will say stealing from people is fine but don't steal from them = Stealing is wrong.
You then apply the majority filter to this as you will find some want to be stolen from but the majority position is stealing from them is wrong = Stealing is wrong.
Now just like the colour blind person there is people with deviances or issues which will make them Atypical so when we take stock of morality just like we did with reality we find there are objective truths even though these truths are not 100% agreed upon nor is that agreement required as the truth is revealed in the majority just like the truth of the tree was revealed in the majority. This holds true for just about everywhere meaning all people couldn't conspire with all people and it couldn't be taught to them as some had never had outsiders until that time, yet even though the different peoples of the world are separate and different from each other in so many ways when compared it reveals a unknowing consensus among the peoples on morality, steal from them but not from me (stealing is wrong), I can cheat on you but you cannot cheat on me (adultery is wrong), take their life not mine (murder is wrong).
This unknown consensus reveals there is indeed objective morality just like how the unknown consensus among the peoples revealed there is indeed objective reality.

Supernatural cannot come from nature as it is Beyond Nature thus requiring a supernatural source aka God.
How basic observations lead to God:
Mind- Supernatural events need supernatural sources, surgery is a supernatural event which comes from the human mind thus the human mind is supernatural, its source pointing to a God/god like being. (Supernatural = Beyond nature)
Body- Space matter and time began to exist which requires a source beyond space matter and time pointing to a God/god like being.
Spirit- In order for objective Morale laws to exist there needs to be a standard of absolute good to be able to measure anything less results in subjective Morales this points to a God/god like being.
You don't have to believe anything at all exists but you behave as if cars in the road exist because that is what the evidence suggests so you treat it as if it exists. I believe these observations is all that is needed for us to behave as if God exists and if there is a God we should do all we can to find and understand this being just like we would if evidence of any other life is found.
I would then suggest the Bible is a excellent starting place since it indicates that Mind, Body and Spirit is the image of God and is the image man was made in, as this is what we observe in the world since the claim and observation match that is itself evidence for the Bible that evidence considered with the claim that the Bible is God introducing himself to man shows this would be a smart starting place to seek God.

If there is no being who has the personal component ie is there is no one involved, the free choice paradigm exists with little foundation.

The reason why people always looks at God when something evil happens is because God is in full control of everything. Satan cannot blink an eye without God allowing him to do so.

I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The difference between believing in all the Hindu gods vs. believing in Jesus is that all the other gods were created beings. The God of the Bible is outside of creation, He always existed, and is seen in the person of Jesus Christ. Atheists may think of Jesus as just another god, that science can eventually explain away, like the Greek god of lightning. But this is not the God of the Bible. God is eternal, the Creator of everything, and Jesus is our Creator (see John 1, Colossians 1, and Hebrews 1).
I believe the Hindu gods and goddesses, and other religions as well, are just demons self proclaiming they are gods... They always wanted to be like God..they can do stuffs, like the priests with Moses did miracles, but only the true God prevail.

I think he means that Jesus is here in the form of the holy spirit because both are God. They're not the same person of course, but both are God.

Thats one of the most relatable parts of the bible imo. How often have we felt sorry for ourselves and said something similar in anger or dispare. Thats when Jesus bore the sins of the world and died for us, God is sinless perfection, and at that moment had to distance himself from Jesus because he was bearing that weight of sin, the most perfectly human response I could imagine.

First of all, I doubt if any of these students really understand what Christianity is, especially since it was labeled as religion. So I would hope that both Cliffe and Stuart would explain why Christianity is "different" than religion, explain what it is, what God did for us, and explain as to why false materialistic/prosperity christian shows are not to be misidentified as Christianity.
Second, I don't understand why Cliffe is negative about American nationality. Our founding was based on religious freedom, and our founding documents (our Declaration of Independence, and our Constitution) were without doubt in some way inspired by God. God recognizes borders, rightful government, nations, etc. Our nation is unique and if our laws were properly followed we would be and still are the best nation in the world.

Freedom of religion, is merely something created so that many different denominations of Christians did not face oppression or exclusion due to the dominant religion or organization of the day.

The title really speaks volumes in regards to the question of "Why is there so much evil on this planet, if god is good?". The fact evil exists should be proof that a god exists, let me explain. Now, is he a good and just god? This takes it a step further. It takes faith, that's the biggest issue is letting go of the idea that bad things are seen to happen to seemingly good people for reasons unknown to us. That's what the story of Jesus is, is it not? He was a honest, caring, loving and passionate person who was persecuted because his teachings were not aligned with the laws set in place during his time here. Was he just? Is it not just enough for him to let YOU come to terms with your own sense of faith in him? For him to not force this upon you? Is that not the best way to teach someone something unseen? Is it not just for him to pray for his persecutors while he is dying on the cross? "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." That is selflessness, to me that is a tell tale sign that his words of wisdom are the truth and he is the light!
