my quick testimony started with a question that I asked myself and that question was : " i refuse to believe that the militaries and politicians of this world are the highest authority in all existence, who is the highest authority? " Eventually I received the answer, God is Love and Jesus Christ the Son of God is the highest authority, and I'm His disciple.

One of the ways I know Jesus really touched my heart is the moment I stopped hating certain people in my life. It was literally an overnight transformation. It’s crazy because sometimes my mind wants to trick me into starting to hate those individuals again but my heart will no longer allow me to. I made peace with every single person I held a grudge on and I mean it sincerely. Thank you Jesus 🙏

Subjective human beings decide based upon an agreed upon set of ethics what we deem to be morally good and morally bad. Some of us can do this without the unnecessary step of adding a supernatural deity into the mix.
      Any other questions?
By the way, if there were such a thing as objective Morality, it would exist regardless of whether or not there was or was not a deity.

@@RobertSmith-gx3mi Great, so it is subjective then. So when a person like Hitler comes along and says it is good to kill all the jews then that has just as much value of your opinion that he cannot.
In history, humans decided that it was a moral right to own slaves. So according to you that was not objectively evil. You just were born in a different time period and decided you now have the correct idea of what is good and evil. What a bunch of nonsense.
I don't know who you think you are that you can just decide what is good and evil for other people while the psychopath doesn't get the option to decide that killing is good without losing his freedom. If your idea of morality is really subjective then that just makes you evil for thinking you are above other people.

@@RobertSmith-gx3mi there’s a massive problem to that however. We can flat out change society’s morality either quickly or in a generation or 2. America is now a perfect example of a society’s morality failing. We are now giving children the same drugs we give to prisoners who are charged with either CP or R and renamed them as “puberty blockers”. Another there was a story of a man who simply cracked his fingers the usual way, and someone saw that and called it a “white suprematists” symbol. The man’s life was literally ruined because of it. Another is people who aren’t doing anything with their life because of mental disorders/issues should we let them live? In mein kampf, one of the arguments was “remove all resources to the non-desirables, and give it all to the people who are healthy.” A lot of people believe in that today. Heck even others are saying “if you disagree with that statement, then it’s harassment/hate speech. I will never trust society because it has massive amounts of problems with it. Just look at the 10 years of America after the late 2000s. They decided to make one of the greatest experiments in the west, remove Christianity, and change it with atheism. How well is that going? Watch David wood’s on about Atheism I think you’ll like it.

I'm not on board with Cliffe and Stuart's egalitarian view of church governance but still love them for their amazing work

    • @sidwhiting665
      @sidwhiting665 10 місяців тому +1

I found that part interesting too, but unlike you, I didn't hear them advocate for egalitarianism. What I did hear was "be careful."
The texts are addressing different things. I think Cliff is right on the money talking about women abusing their newly found spiritual freedom by possibly getting chaotic in worship... but then later Cliff says there's a time and a place for a woman to serve in the church: and prophesying appears to be one of them.
What is prophesying? Speaking the Word of God in truth. We English speakers tend to only think of prophesy in terms of fortune telling where one person has secret knowledge that no one else has, but when we say things like "Jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead"... that is a prophesy that is found in God's Word. When we speak those words we are foretelling a future that God has told to us. It's not a secret known only to use, and it does tell the future, but only because God has revealed that part of it already.
We can also study other books such as 1st and 2nd Timothy as well as the life of Jesus. Who were Jesus closets followers and teachers after his ascension? The 12 Disciples (minus Judas)... all of whom were men.
Who were the deacons appointed in the Church of Acts? 7 men of true faith.
Who were all the foremost leaders of God's people in the Old Testament? Almost without fail, men. One example only I can think of: Deborah the Judge and possibly Miriam the sister of Moses acting as a praise leader.
If it were God's plan to have women regularly serving in the office of the pastoral ministry, teaching from the front of the church, we'd see some very clear text regarding it. Instead we see many passages granting roles to each sex: men as leaders and teachers; women as nurturers and supporters. Both have a role to fulfill, and in many ways both are hard-wired genetically to be better at one role. Doesn't mean that CAN'T do the other role, and women do sometimes step up when men fail, such as a family where the man doesn't go to church but the woman goes and takes the children. However, for optimal success, we ought do what our physical design and the Word of God say: and the two of those are in agreement.
True, we see figures like Phoebe and Lydia mentioned in the NT, but they are the exception and not the rule. Generally speaking, we must go with the rule rather than argue from the exception. Might there be a time and place where a woman can and should by God's design teach men? I won't totally rule out the possibility, but we're not going to use two example where it DID happen to contradict the hundreds of times it DIDN'T happen. It would certainly be a highly unusual circumstance and one where absolute caution would be necessary. Too often we see "progressive" churches headed by women and/or the lead pastor is heavily influenced by a woman. That's not to denigrate women. Women are wonderful servants of Christ. It's simply to speak the Word of God as it was spoken to us rather than alter it to fit modern sensibilities.

    • @Super3face
      @Super3face 10 місяців тому

@sidwhiting665 yeah you just advocated for the complimentarian view (men and woman have certain roles) but I've listened to cliffe for a few years he wouldn't squarely fit egalitarian but leans more that way

21:30 Joseph Smith fell as a prophet, but let’s not mock the Plates, because I’m still waiting for proof that the Book of Mormon is not true based on its content.
The Isaiah translation errors found in the Book of Mormon match the original KJV’s, and they were included on purpose since that was the gold standard for Protestants and God knows all.
Looking at the Urim and Thummim in a hat, actually makes sense. Joseph Smith was innocent at one point, but failed with the sins of man like polygamy, and trusting others like Sydney Rigdon.

*I'm 71 now and have read only the exact same copy of the King James Bible my church gave me in 1961. (This does not mean I was a King James onlyist but now I'm glad I never read any others or I might not have noticed the changes as quickly.) I had memorized many scriptures from it through the years. Then in 2014 I started seeing changes in it that I couldn't explain. I have an exceptional memory, for instance I can draw a detailed picture of my baby stroller. I had never owned a computer or heard of the "Mandela Effect" back then. But after being given my first computer in 2016, I finally found out why I had been noticing all of the oddities that I couldn't explain. I then started diligently studying what should actually be called the ''Daniel 7:25 Effect''. That's where God said He would give the antichrist the power to "change times and laws'' which we now know meant (history and scripture plus laws of physics). We're seeing many end times prophecies being fulfilled SUPERNATURALLY! This is some of the "lying signs and wonders" that God told us He would give the AC power to perform which would even deceive His very elect, if it were possible in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two!*
*God said in the end of days, (NOW!) that He would send us a famine for hearing His word in Amos **8:11** and that He would give the antichrist the ability to do this in Daniel 7:25. In Daniel 12:4 & 12:9 He told him to seal his book until the end days. He told John **_not_** to seal his book because the end time is at hand in Revelation 22:10. One of the Greek definitions of seal in Strongs concordance is “to protect from Satan”. He also told us to write His words in our hearts, which meant memorize, if not word for word at least the essence of what was written, because He knew this was going to happen.*
*God commanded us to "prove all things", and people **_better_** obey Him, especially on this subject. I urge you to research this. There are many Brothers and Sisters making videos about the changes with more proof of what was originally written and I have lots more about this in my playlist 👉 which can be found by typing in ( proof of bible change residue junkie )* 👈
*I've continued to study scripture and have grown MUCH closer to Jesus by learning what Satan has been changing. Soon Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled too, and the only way it can happen is by not being able to see these videos that document what used to be written in our bibles.*
*_May God bless all who read this with eyes to see this incredible faith strengthener, and how close we are to our Saviour's return!!!!_*
    ❤✝️💪
*P.S. After people have taken all of the required 💉's, they will apply a quantum dot invisible tattoo to their head or hand, but anyone who has had just one has a bluetooth mac # that can be read by any smart phone and when you walk through the deal at an airport they know if you have it. The no buying or selling is happening incrementally and will be complete when cash is abolished and worship can be defined as "to fear, obey and trust in someone or something" which is what they are doing with the Beast System and the Image of the Beast, (NWO and TV!). They also now have triple helix DNA, are no longer human and if they have children they won't be human either! Yes, this absolutely is it, and👉 if you write me at the address on my about page👈 I'll send you 15 **_shocking_** films that will PROVE it to anyone who has the courage to watch them.*

Paul is referring to the Genesis when God cursed Eve with pain in childbearing (Genesis 3:16), not to a Gnostic cult. This can be inferred from the previous two verses:
_For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor._ (1 Timothy 2:13-14)
The child bearing most likely refers to being born again. In other words, she will be saved by being born again, if she indeed continues in faith and proves herself to be a true believer (even though she was deceived first):
_Yet she will be saved through childbearing-if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control._ (1 Timothy 2:15)

Thank you for these great videos! I, too, think it is so important to "have a reason for the hope that is in us" (1 Peter 3 :) I liked the line of reasoning that was given for evidences and witnesses.
I wanted to share that many of the claims made about Paul and the apostles in this video around minute 20, though claimed here to not be, are actually also true of Joseph Smith and the restoration of Christ's authority and apostleship to the world through living witnesses of the risen Christ. One of the points made about the apostle's witnesses was that even his family and friends stayed by his witness. This is actually true of the prophet Joseph Smith as well. One brief example of this is Liberty Jail. Another is Carthage. Others are his own family. Additional others are the 11 witnesses and women witnesses of the restoration of Christ's original church. Even those who were antagonistic to Christ's Restored Church later in their lives, including all the witnesses of The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, remained true to their witness. Amazingly, not one of the eleven, and more, denied the veracity of it, even at gunpoint/near death for a many of them. This is a video describing this in more detail. (youtube wouldn't allow me to multiple links so I am attaching a google drive link as a reply to this that has a link to all these references below)
It was mentioned that there are not evidences for the other elements of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' history, such as archeological and textual. These articles and websites actually have several:
The Book of Mormon itself is a very important, a keystone, evidence to consider. The purpose of the book is to invite all to come unto Jesus Christ and is yet another witness that God speaks to us today through prophets, ancient and new. "A Case for the Book of Mormon," is another source that has some crucial points to consider. This is a speech that summarizes some of the main points of that. Ezekiel 37:15-28 describes a sign act in which the prophet Ezekiel is instructed by God to write on two sticks, one for Judah and one for Joseph, and then join them together into one stick. We see that today.

I also wanted to, in this paragraph, briefly clarify the idea about men being able to own their own planet. :) That is perhaps an idea that has floated around, but it certainly wouldn't just apply to men if it is true - owning a planet for men or women maybe is something we can do someday (I don’t know exactly how that works after this life 😊) but it isn’t central, nor even really mentioned in our doctrine...it especially isn't emphasized nor taught at church. Our doctrine is centered in Jesus Christ. Becoming like God is our eternal potential, as children of a loving Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. We believe that men and women are “created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny.” - The Family: A Proclamation to the World.
Because we believe in God, The Father, and God, our Heavenly Mother, we believe women can become like God! And even become a god! We believe we can become even as our Heavenly Parents. This is a quote about that (from the talk in the link) with some questions: "And why not possible? Do not all Christian churches advocate Christlike behavior? Is that not what the Sermon on the Mount is all about? If it is blasphemous to think we can become as God, then at what point is it not blasphemous to become like God-90 percent, 50 percent, 1 percent? Is it more Christian to seek partial godhood than total godhood? Are we invited to walk the path of godhood-to “be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect”-with no possibility of ever reaching the destination?
"As we better understand our potential destiny, our level of self-worth and confidence and motivation is greatly heightened." - Elder Tad R. Callister (A "Seventy" in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)
We deeply honor and revere women and womanhood. :) My wife is so inspiring and amazing to me! and I love her not just to 'death do we part,' but for all eternity. We are “sealed” in a marriage covenant beyond this mortal life through the resurrection, by authority from God that has been restored in our day. Authority directly from Peter, James, and John physically given on June 1st, 1829. Additional keys were restored through Elijah, Elias, and Moses in our day. That authority and Abrahamic promise is such a blessing to both of us, in our marriage covenant, and also in our other covenants, such as baptism. These are similar to those Peter, James, and John received on the Mount of Transfiguration. (We receive these ordinances in the temple today...an "endowment," or in other words, a preparation to see and eventually live with God, establishing His Kingdom on the Earth). My wife is an equal partner in our marriage and in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She likewise has power given to her from God, priesthood power, to do the work God has given her in this life.
This is an article about our honor of womanhood from a woman leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Relief Society, the woman’s/sisterhood group within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is one of the oldest and largest (I have heard that at one point is was the largest if it still isn't) women’s organization in the world (7 million strong in 188 countries). Just this month, $55 million tithing donations have gone to aid 12 million children and 2.7 women through the Relief Society. As detailed in the 2023 summary, “Caring for Those in Need,” the Church’s 4,119 humanitarian projects blessed people in 191 countries and territories! That is so inspiring to me. And it excites me to hear about the aid other churches and organizations give as well to help those in need. 6.2 billion hours of service were given just this year to help individuals in 191 countries. $1.36 billion tithing in donations to aid in relief to those suffering. The Relief Society flourishes because women are empowered to even become as God is, as heirs of Godhood: our Father and our Mother in Heaven.
In regards to Joseph Smith and his character, there are 27 Volumes of history about his life, known as The Joseph Smith Papers. There are many other helpful sources for learning about his role in God's plan for His children in this dispensation of time, the "fulness of times" (see Revelation 14). See "Saints" and "Rough Stone Rolling" to name a couple more. Because he is a prophet similar to those of old, testifying of Jesus Christ, I have listened to every recorded teaching that Joseph has taught, in addition to every word of the Bible, and all that I can find: words of those that have seen Jesus Christ and strive to become more like him. Like ancient apostles and prophets: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Paul, Peter, James, John…much evil is spoken about them. Much good as well. These individuals testify of God. Many of them have seen God (they are witnesses of Jesus Christ). If any is curious about Joseph Smith and his character, I would invite you to likewise read his words and all the accounts of his life. We have a unique position nowadays to look at historical documents and see perspectives about Joseph that even people in his day couldn’t see. We have the accounts of many of his contemporaries. These are a few resources that could help in that search.
I can’t do that work for you (others will try to :), but I can at least offer the witness that has come from my work and study over 25 years, reading The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ 52 times and investigating it inside and out, as well as the historical documents and evidences.
I felt it could be helpful for me to say here too, that we do not worship Mormon, nor do we worship Joseph Smith, nor any ancient prophet, like Abraham, Peter, Adam, Noah, etc. We have a prophet today too (Russell M. Nelson), but we are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and love, honor, and worship Him, Jesus Christ.
We are so much in awe that He has restored the authority and keys to gather Israel (“we who wrestle with God”, and those that "Let God Prevail) in these last days to prepare the world for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
I hope this is helpful, and by no means do I hold any contempt against you nor what has been said in this video about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is common to misunderstand what we believe. I just wanted to share my witness of Jesus Christ and how close I have felt to Him through my own study of both the Bible, The Book of Mormon, and words of apostles and prophets, ancient and modern.
The ancient keys to God's authority through Jesus Christ are restored today! God has come, He speaks, and continues to. Jesus Christ revealed Himself in 1820 to restore His ancient church through modern prophets. He visits "his servants, the prophets" in Houses of the Lord (temples) across the globe (soon to be over 350 and counting). "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." - Amos 3:7. He speaks today as He did anciently. This witness I share has come through studying this line of priesthood revelation (God’s prophets) and the priesthood line of revelation (my own reasoning and revelations that have come through The Spirit).
Together, these have helped me gradually become more aligned with God and day by day, help me to become like my Father in Heaven, and my wife, like our Mother in Heaven, who loves us each so much! ( I realize these are bold claims. Feel free to text or email me with any thoughts or questions about this, sorry I didn't realize it would become so long of a response! If you have read this far, you are a trooper

I want to thank you for all the time and effort you put in to creating these faith-inspiring videos and for your well-reasoned belief in God! I highly value your work and these videos. I love the admonition of Paul to “gather together in one all things in Christ" (Ephesians 1), and I too am so grateful to be saved by His Amazing Grace. Genesis chapter 1 states that God created the heavens and the earth. It then states after God created the Earth, darkness was over the face of earth (this is referring to lack of photons, not evil. Darkness, as you can see here, was already on the face of the earth when the world was created). Genesis then goes on to say "and He said let there be light and He separated the light from the darkness, calling light day and darkness night". Notice God said "let there be light", He did not say "let there be light and darkness". The creation of light, in this context, is the sun. That's why we have daylight and nighttime. Does the sun not cause day? Does the light from the sun not get rid of shadows and brighten a dark room? When the Earth rotates away from the sun, does everything around you not become dark? Hence, God did not create this darkness, it is simply the absence of photons. Darkness is literally nothingness.
The darkness God also did not create was the darkness known as evil. It is called darkness because evil likes to hide where there is no light. Why? Because it is void of the light that God created that exposes its agenda. Darkness is the opposite of the light, and the devil does everything that is opposite of God, which is the light He created. Light is associated with life (photosynthesis, beauty, vibrancy, colorful, lively, etc.) Darkness is associated with death because it's void of life (light). Evil spirits are deprived of God Spirit (life) so they dwell in darkness where it is associated with death.

But NOBODY takes issue with the fact that there is much variation within living things or that speciation occurs. But what you don't have is any kind of fundamental change into, period. What we actually observe are neutral and deleterious changes (some of which can be beneficial under special conditions), but no novel traits or information arises. Evolution in the Darwinian sense is a belief-a religion; it is NOT science. All the little changes we actually observe add up only to death. Net loss ≠ novel gains. And the single most essential element in living things is... information. And in 100% of empirical experience, we discover that the only source of complex, coded, specialized information, is... a mind. Chemicals don't produce information. Chemicals can produce patterns, but not information like what we discover in 'the Book of Life', also known as DNA.

From what I understand, if I'm refering to the same story. John had asked the man, a reductionist, at his table to explain the symbiotic relationship between five letters on the menu "STEAK". Each letter is a symbol that has information behind it. Where did the symbol originally get its information, and its relationship to the other symbols. He was showing that at the beginning their must be more than matter and energy. And where does information come from. From a Mind. That was my take on it.

    • @Miguel09z
      @Miguel09z 10 місяців тому +1

You don't. Just as Christ said to his disciples that no one comes to him unless God draws them. And as God has said, he will draw all men unto him, but this does not negate the will of one who is against him, such individuals will not heed the call. Every person that has come to God did not come to him on their own or based on another. You do the work that you feel to do in your heart as led by God, but never look at it as though you have any power to bring anyone to Christ or else you may end up as a problem for many who "would" have answered but felt pressured or something else by you. Simply treat it as Christ told his followers. He told them to go from door to door and any home that did not heed and welcome them, simply wipe the dust from their feet and move on.

Stuart makes a valid point that if your parents were alcoholics you are way more prone to become an alcoholic, and if your mother was bi polar, you are way more prone to become bi polar. The same could also be said about belief/religion, .. Stuart himself is a prime example in that his father is a Christian apologist street preacher.. like father like son, a chip off the old block.

@@ronwan1408 Yes indeed, we are in agreement, I was raised a Catholic, and, like many of my fellow catholics i went to school with, we've ditched our faith and went on a different path, my best schoolfriend died last year of an incurable disease, I lost contact with him for many years in his later life, I found out at his funeral that he became a Jehova's witness, whereas I became a non believer. Is it your belief that he was not a Christian?
It's not a dead set certainty that you retain the faith that you were raised in, but it's a good bet in deeply religious countries like Pakistan or Portugal, you'll be a Muslim or a Catholic, the more the religion has a grip on power and influence of that country, the more the people will believe in the main religion of that country. The internet and scientific knowledge has led people away from the church. Kids today can find stuff out for themselves at the touch of a button.

@@vincentkrych2158 ooo this is a pretty deep point in an area im not to familiar with. But I believe humans define their idea of morality based on the societal values put into place in their country at that time. For example we can see live examples of this by whats considered normal in one countries and what is considered immoral in an another country. Lets even take a look back through history in ww2 for example with Germany. How did hitler accomplish his goals? How did he convince the german people to do inhumane things to jews. This is due to humans flawed perception of their own morality. The point im trying to make human morality is always fluctuating while the morality defined by God is good and has stayed good for all these generations that have passed. I rather trust the morality of my God than the morality of an always changing morality.
