- brussel sprouts with garlic and chestnuts and shallots. This is a recipe even the Kids will eat it has a combination of a nutty flavour from the Chestnuts and shallots to add a touch of sweetness.
Ingredients
Brussel sprouts 500 grams
lemon 1 for juice and Zest
Shallot or Onion half a medium size
Chestnuts 180 grams or more for nuttier flavour ( fresh or vacum packed raw weight)

Hi Rose. Thanks for another interesting recipe. Brussel sprouts always remind me of little cabbages. I made your recipe for lemon chicken that you posted a month or so ago. I bet that lemon zest gives a nice bright flavor. Actually, all of it would add such amazing flavors and I can't wait to make this. We have Brussels sprouts quite often!

Brussels Sprouts are one of my favorite veggies for sure :) I have never tried them with chestnuts but it sounds so good :)
They are a fav for some in my family but the younger generation are just a little harder to please with the chestnuts and lemon somehow they will eat them lol... Thanks Alicia for watching and for your great comment I am an avid Brussels sprouts fan yummy yummy. :)

Brussels Sprouts are one of my all time fav veggie. Even as a kid!! LOL (Am I weird?) I have been meaning to do a recipe for AGES and now which also includes chestnuts in them. I am now seeing all the fresh Brussels, so I think it may be time!
