OHHH YURRRRRR!!!
#Meshuggah #Bleed #Drums
Everyone who comments about Nicko and double bass will be cursed and die at 7:06pm tonight.
Ohhhhhh Yurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Just came to say that 🤣
LOL!
Ho yuuuuuuurrrrrrr
You should include also Aquiles Priester in your next video 😁👍
Something about Nicko and double bass.
AC/DC's drummer:
I DON'T CARE WHAT WEIRD TIME SIGNATURE ARE YOU GUYS IN, I'M PLAYING 4/4
Bleed is in 4/4 lol.
Literally all meshuggah is just 4/4.
@@vela-6
The Drumms, maybe yeah.
But Not the guitars/bass, tho.
@@DimiLeventis it's polyrhythms, not two time signatures. bleed really only makes sense in 4/4.
@@busTedOaS
The band uses both, even though not in this song
I love how Joey Jordison’s was just the Surfacing intro.
Edit: Rest in peace, legend.
Literally
Yep
Ok
That’s what he did in this video he just took drummers parts in actual songs and just put it up to tempo
Bleed justice for all
The drummer from Iron Maiden is also named Iron Maiden. It worked out conveniently when they formed the band.
Most bands pick the singer's name, but when blessed with a drummer named Iron Maiden...
U mean niko mcbrain
Nicko Mcbrain using double pedal??? Nooooooooooo hahaha
@@tygvroom221 no, iron maiden (the drummer)

The Van Halen one is hot for teacher and the Joey jordison is surfacing intro and ac dc is literally every song by them.

I love how Lars’s is literally just and justice for all. I absolutely love that song.
Oh yea 😮😂 love that song too
That was my least favorite part of this video lol. Lars is not a good drummer, I wish Metallica would get a better drummer.
@@BowlingNDrums lmfaoo he is fine. As a drummer who has been playing for over 20 Year's now he is fine just fine. Not the best and not the worst. Nowadays he doesn't practices and he is tired of playing the early stuff again and again( come on man It's obivious).Due to not practice he fucks up the time and cant control the double bass.isolate the Metallica concerts and listen the drums you will know What i mesn
@@justempty7036 Lars is the reason why I stopped listening to Metallica. Slayer, Leeway, Sepultura, megadeath, death and Anthrax have amazing drummers! Why can’t Metallica 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. I just don’t understand or get it. Metallica can be on a different level if it wasn’t for Lars. Lars ruins Metallica.. I’ve listen to Lars terrible double bass, it’s terrible..
@@BowlingNDrums Ok first off all Lars is a good drummer and has an diffrent style like the ones you stated there. Do you even know why people hate Lars nowadays????? It's because he fucks up the timing and doesn't play like the album version. People likes shiting on him even more since that napster thing. You liking Metallicas drums depends on how you like to hear drums on a song .You said double bass but that doesn't says too much. Lars used triplets in kill em all than he started using double kick in ride the lightning.Lars *terrible double kick* if ı understood you correctly It's literally his playing style. Just like Joey jordison, dave Lombardo and etc. Every drummer has an unique style. Lars didnt ruin in fact his drumming made Metallica what they were today.its a part of Metallica. And if Lars wasnt their drummer then Metallica wouldnt be Metallica we know today lol. İf you don't like his style then i get İt. Because its personal after all. But İf We Are speaking on technical terms.... He is not a bad drummer lol. He is not the best but he is fine.
It's funny watching this in late 2023 and seeing Seamus without a beard 😂
Damn, I wasn't expecting the AC/DC version to sound so cool.

that shit sux. too simple
I thumbs this down, because no

As a die-hard blink fan I have to say you nailed Travis's style perfect
Yeah, he did the little breakdown from Reckless Abandon then threw in some dumpweed. Nostalgic lol used to go hard on those songs
@This is Kevin he is doing triplets just using a single pedal travis is crazy
@@isucc7920 yep he can pedal pretty fast so 1 pedal is enough for him

respect for putting Travis in here, doesn't get much respect from metal players just because he's in a pop-punk band. Sounded sick
Although I think travis Barker is overrated, I liked the groove the best
Pop Punk bands have very good drummers. The Story So Far and Belmont just to name a few.
@@EmoDaveAbrenica Tre Cool too!
honestly, throwing a skank rhythm in there worked super well, prob my favorite part
He’s the most overrated drummer of all time, bar Lars
The Lars's version of bleed is just going to have one bass hit on every four notes
Hed just have to replace all his cymbals with chinas and take the snares off.
Every four beats, you mean.
It’s missing the crash on the snare
I wonder if he'll ever be old enough to realize how dumb his "retarded garden gnome" squinch face pose is.
He just played the drum riff in the intro of the Metallica song And Justice For All
I find it amazing how the Phil Rudd minimalist beat makes it groovy
sometimes simple beats to heavy guitars sound very heavy :)
The beat isn't too different besides the hertas in the bass drum. Otherwise, it's a 4/4 groove with a resolving foot pattern over three bars
I have a metronome less accurate than Phil
@@Kilteddrumguyfun fact: Tomas has stated that he does intentionally keep 4/4 rhythms in mind when writing his drum parts because he likes giving everyone else something they can easily headbang to.

It's funny because I've struggled to play Hardwired more than Bleed when I've tried both songs lol.
The Lars method wasn’t out of tempo enough and didn’t have enough China
Too much tom use too
Everyone who's bitching 'bout Lars; Do 1 drum cover of every Metallica album and make it sound as good or better as the originals and upload it and then we'll talk! the groove tho

I want it in loop ! 🔥
Yeah, Nick is a beast
absolutely. good ol death drums
0:59 I like that name
I love the fact that you included Adrian Erlandsson. He needs more cred, he is such an amazing drummer.
Same. I was really into Cradle of Filth back in the early 2000s, which led me to discover both Nick Barker and Adrian. Both are still two of my favorite drummers of all time.
Adrian was a lot better out of CoF. He couldn't keep the tempo correct at all live, and that was on their live DVD...
The transition from travis barker to joey was soo clean
i don’t think Lars plays that precise
Of course not, but the idea is there. His best drumming was in And Justice for All. It just all went downhill after that.

I don’t care if I die: Nicko with double bass aahhh!
He actually needs it. The older he gets, he's slowing down a little too much. Evil That Men Do for example--can't play the original live.
One does not simply play Iron Maiden using DB :p
jgr I just saw them play that at bb&t in sunrise Florida idk what you’re talking about he sounded incredible
@@cwx8 You obviously haven't seen them live lately. Saw them just in July and Nicko sounded fucking phenomenal.
Play Iron Maiden with doublebass is a unforgivable drumming blasphemy.
The transition from ACDC to Lamb of God, Travis Barker to Joey Jordison, Danny Carey to At The Gates 👌👍
I’m a huge slipknot fan and to be honest it sounded a lot like surfacing
Lmao it WAS surfacing
Because it was surfacing
This is true and im not disagreeing or trying to sound like a dick but that pattern is something Joey did a few times on the self titled record
Ash K I don’t think that’s entirely true, similar but not really. Besides, that drum pattern is literally the last 20 seconds of Surfacing. Listen from 3:17 of surfacing, identical.
This song is called, SURFASHY
The Danny Carey beat actually sounded pretty cool.
Fit really damn well
Of course it did, Danny Carey's drumming style is the best there is
Yeah agree
yea danny's style add so much depth into songs
Henry Smith without Danny Carey there can not be Tool imo.
Almost choked on my breakfast when it cut to AC/DC

Gotta update the lamb of god photo 😭 it sucks Chris is done with them
he probably used Chris's face since that's the style he was aiming for.
CHRIS WILL BE BACK jesus
@@SuicidalGrind probably I'm just still upset he won't be playing with them anymore haha
First Last Really ? He left them ? His brother‘s still in LoG as well though.
@@dimitripapadinikolaus To my understanding, he was fired, but it's difficult to say for sure without knowing the whole story. Though I think that the motorcycle accident Chris was involved in back in 2017 is one of the big factors behind it, since he wasn't able to tour with the band. For all we know, it was a mutual agreement, but the official statement on LoG's FB page tells another story as far as I'm concerned.
Holy shit I could’ve listened to this without reading subtitles and identified the intended drummer by ear. F’n impeccable, my friend.
thank you Tyler!!!!
1:07 and justice for all intro
Back when you played the whole song in the Rudd fashion on a live was great.
What a coincidence that the drummer for At The Gates is actually called At The Gates! What are the odds?
Came here to comment this
Pretty crazy that Iron Maiden's drummer is called Iron Maiden too!
Rockdoo and ac/dc‘s drummer is named ac/dc too. Dang
And that Van Halen's drummer is called Van Halen
Ngl that AC/DC 4 on the floor best works SO well with this song
The Mike Portnoy bit: "HIT THE DAMN CYMBAL!"
it's so cool how the Nicko one actually changes the entire feeling of that song, makes it sound lighter somehow.
After the AC/DC version I was "Hey if he's going oldschool, the Van Halen intro for Hot For Teacher would go really well with this".
And it was done.
I once saw Adrian Erlandsson play an entire hour long "The Haunted" set and then 10 minutes later a 90 minute "At The Gates" set. He looked like he was going to die the whole time but he didn't miss a single fucking beat.

AC/DC, Lamb of God, At the Gates, Van Halen are other band names mentioned, not just Iron Maiden.
I guess those drummers are not so well known apart from being in their band... dunno
@@mladenkorunoski654 Chris Adler (LoG) is a pretty well known drummer.
The others though....yeah pretty much.
interesting how you used the band's name or the drummer's name depending on how known the drummer is... oddly Nicko was labeled as Iron Maiden though...
A detail that would have been awesome is that if he played with Niko's style he only used one kick and use that tecnique of bouncy double kick with his feet.
Was about to comment on this
He took these drum parts from songs, he didn't just improv them
Nah man it's more like when a band had several drummers over the years playing in the style that the band's music requires/ is known for. Then he'll put the best known drummer next to it. Like when he put Rudd and McBrain although both of their bands had many drummers before them.
This is crazy how drums can completely transform a song (especially this one, where drum is its whole identity)
It's just amazing how "bleed" sounded very different with every style🐼🤘
Skills: God level🤤
The Joey Jordison snare you're rocking the best snare I've ever owned.
The fact that you have to use the double bass to imitate Nicko McBrain says how technically inmense McBrain is
The Iron Maiden drum style fit perfectly for that particular part!

The Danny Carey's one is AMAZING
Really I thought that was the least accurate one.
Well I didn't see any mind-blowing out of tempo but at the same time in tempo polyrhythms in Carey's style, but it was good
@@whrussy It was the pattern from Parabola, that sits underneath the first "in this holy reality, in this holy experience".
I don't think people pay as much attention to Danny as they think they do - part of the reason why Tool is so successful is that, in spite of being pretty heavy prog, they still break into 4/4 jams in a LOT of their songs. Kinda like what Nine Inch Nails is to industrial.
Was just about to say that! 🤘
Even after years of listening to this song, the part at 1:45 always throws me off but hearing you play it makes it sound so much more clear lol
Like that part is obviously in 4/4 but Haake's fuckery just disorients me everytime hahaha
Zithariya actually iirc Haake plays a polyrhythm that’s different to the guitar part. Not sure what the polyrhythm is, but I heard that somewhere

Nice to see Nicholas Barker on the list. Love his blast beats and his work on Cruelty and the Beast
Hey 66samus I'm a drummer but having played in a while now I came back to music I really was experiencing inspired of going up on my techniques
The hot for teacher beat was super interesting, and the straightforward blasts over the riff was sick. Kinda makes me wish Tomas would blast on some songs, never thought I'd say that.
Why does the AC/DC rhytm work so well with the song?
1:41 is the change I needed in my life.
Nick Barker should've been longer. A highly underappreciated drummer, just as Gene Hoglan.
The d-beat drum beat in the Travis Barker section actually sounds awesome with the riff.
Can't understate the compositional talent he has to put this whole thing together.
0:45 Ain’t him Ringo Starr from Beatles?!
1:53 iron maiden has no twin. only single pedal

Idk why this feels wrong but I absolutely loved Travis Baker version. The switch in intensity just hits the spot.

The Travis Barker and Joey Jordison ones were so damn good!
The Travis Barker part having all those random splash and bell hits is so real. Bro cannot just hang out on the hats or ride without throwing in a hundred accents (and I love him for that).
Me watching this during the first few: hehe, this is neat
When Nicko came up: holy poop this is heavy
I’d love a full cover of the song in the style of Danny Carey
Could easily take a whole version of this, this is quite the jam. I usually quite enjoy when the rhythm guitar and percussion are locked in on those kicks but the variety of all the styles, as disparate as they may be, really give the song a more flowing, maybe even quasi-narrative, structure that really sounds good. Fantastic work!
Holy smokes Nicko Borker rules. Thank you UA-cam for 10sec rewind feature. Double bass!
The Barker era on Dimmu was fantastic, they've put out some of their best work with him in the drums!
Nicko Mcbarker lol
I really like the Iron Maiden version. It really changed the feel of it.
I love the AC/DC one. The simplicity was a great contrast and brought out the complexity of the guitar rhythm
The travis barker section sounded so good.
