Good for you! It’s very hard to quit but you can do it. I stopped smoking January 3, 2000, and I’ll never go back. I’ve lost two of my brothers to lung cancer and a third is still battling it. Like Bill Mead is your inspiration to quit, mine is the loss of siblings. I stopped craving cigarettes after a month and I haven’t craved any since then. A couple of things I did was to chew gum, avoid friends and family who smoked, and I took up swimming. Find something to replace smoking. Swimming was perfect for me because you will gain weight while you’re quitting smoking. 😕 Take it one day at a time and it will eventually become a habit of not smoking. You can do it! 😎

I feel you. My favorite professor in college died of leukemia too only a semester after I took his class. He was only in his 40's too which only made it sadder. I immediately thought of him when I saw Bill (according to some of the students who took his class during the semester he passed away, his mouth also seemed swollen and he had difficulty speaking). In the last one, literally my Grandma and a lot of my older family members in the Philippines post stuff like that on Facebook all the time, just minus the multiple accounts. They have reposted/shared gore stuff before like it's normal. It was definitely a shock to me after I first added them on FB (I had just visited them in the Philippines after about 15 years since I last visited). That screencap of her profile is literally verbatim what their FB profiles look like lol so I can't help but laugh because it doesn't look strange to me. My Grandma texts me EXACTLY like those messages, in all caps and same grammar and all. Also, the game thing can be true because I get FB game requests from my family in the Philippines all the time. As for the multiple accounts, I don't know. Sometimes my family make another FB account for reasons I don't know but it doesn't happen all the time. Maybe she just always forgets her password, like my Grandma does all the time lol. To my eyes, it just seems like some innocent lady in the Philippines who isn't that great with technology.
@@Macachee It has toned down a bit but basically most of their feeds are filled with news article that have borderline gore or similar front page images for the shock factor and attention. Sort of like how webpage ads looked like back in 2008-2012. Obviously it varies by user but algorithms can unfortunately turn some people's feeds into a self-sustaining hole for these kinds of stuff.

Not a very religious person, but I know there are good Christians/Catholics out there and Bill Mead genuinely seemed like one of them. My heart broke seeing the drastic progression of his cancer. I know this is two years late, but people looking to commit crimes against other people, especially involving bodily harm, are more likely to commit them against people who they think they can easily take on. Your brain is wired to see things smaller than you as less threatening, and things larger than you as more threatening. For example, if you were being chased by a mouse, you probably wouldn't be worried about that mouse overpowering you. But if that mouse was twice your size, you definitely would be concerned about being overpowered. Consequently, people feel more/less intimidated by other people depending on their own size. If you bleed they can kill you in theory, but if you're bigger than them, they'll have a lot harder of a time.

About 3 weeks ago me and my bro were playing some video games when we heard 3 gunshots, my heart dropped and my brother immediately turned everything off We looked out the window for about 5 min when we heard a girl screaming and crying, I didn't make out what she was saying but curse words. I didn't hear anything on the news the following day, and no cops showed up. It's a scary thought being in a shooting situation

You only called the police for backup when dealing with greater numbers, needing a search party or when it's too dark to go chasing.. Piece of advice for anyone in a life or death situation...you can still drive to some degree with 1 or more tires flat. If someone is chasing you with a gun you don't want to sit still...but also don't drive full speed either and be really careful. Even 20mph will get you away out of the effective range of a handgun in a few seconds.

The Converse one disturbs me the most. Im from a neighborhood just down the road thats known for gun violence. Its only getting worse. About a year or two ago a 13 year old boy was shot in the head by another 13 year old boy in the park right behind my house. The name of my neighborhood is Sunrise but some call it "Gunrise". When you tell people youre from Sunrise they always ask, "Good side or bad side".
I used to live a mile from Converse. Between my old city and Converse is a neighborhood called Sunrise and the thoughts on it are pretty much the same!

I just cannot believe in a town that size law enforcement was unable to catch the perpetrators. To me something doesn't sit right concerning THAT PART of this situation. I'd be at the P.D. or S.D. DAILY demanding to know what have they done to look any closer at the case or to conduct any interviews with people in the area etc. I hope these people have a peaceful existence where they live, or they moved elsewhere. I'd worried about the guys coming back if they see their faces. I'll be praying for that family and keeping up with the case since I work alongside Federal law enforcement. Good for you! It’s very hard to quit but you can do it. I stopped smoking January 3, 2000, and I’ll never go back. I’ve lost two of my brothers to lung cancer and a third is still battling it. Like Bill Mead is your inspiration to quit, mine is the loss of siblings. I stopped craving cigarettes after a month and I haven’t craved any since then.
A couple of things I did was to chew gum, avoid friends and family who smoked, and I took up swimming. Find something to replace smoking. Swimming was perfect for me because you will gain weight while you’re quitting smoking. 😕
Take it one day at a time and it will eventually become a habit of not smoking. You can do it! 😎

I immediately thought of him when I saw Bill (according to some of the students who took his class during the semester he passed away, his mouth also seemed swollen and he had difficulty speaking). In the last one, literally my Grandma and a lot of my older family members in the Philippines post stuff like that on Facebook all the time, just minus the multiple accounts. They have reposted/shared gore stuff before like it's normal. It was definitely a shock to me after I first added them on FB (I had just visited them in the Philippines after about 15 years since I last visited). That screencap of her profile is literally verbatim what their FB profiles look like lol so I can't help but laugh because it doesn't look strange to me. My Grandma texts me EXACTLY like those messages, in all caps and same grammar and all. Also, the game thing can be true because I get FB game requests from my family in the Philippines all the time. As for the multiple accounts, I don't know. Sometimes my family make another FB account for reasons I don't know but it doesn't happen all the time. Maybe she just always forgets her password, like my Grandma does all the time lol. To my eyes, it just seems like some innocent lady in the Philippines who isn't that great with technology.

@@Macachee It has toned down a bit but basically most of their feeds are filled with news article that have borderline gore or similar front page images for the shock factor and attention. Sort of like how webpage ads looked like back in 2008-2012.
Obviously it varies by user but algorithms can unfortunately turn some people's feeds into a self-sustaining hole for these kinds of stuff.

Not a very religious person, but I know there are good Christians/Catholics out there and Bill Mead genuinely seemed like one of them. My heart broke seeing the drastic progression of his cancer. I hope he's resting in peace, he looked like such a sweet man.

I know this is two years late, but people looking to commit crimes against other people, especially involving bodily harm, are more likely to commit them against people who they think they can easily take on. Your brain is wired to see things smaller than you as less threatening, and things larger than you as more threatening. For example, if you were being chased by a mouse, you probably wouldn't be worried about that mouse overpowering you. But if that mouse was twice your size, you definitely would be concerned about being overpowered. Consequently, people feel more/less intimidated by other people depending on their own size. If you bleed they can kill you in theory, but if you're bigger than them, they'll have a lot harder of a time.

Growing up outside of a Town, we were taught to be aware and ready to take out permanently all pests and threats.. 4 legged or 2 legged alike.. You only called the police for backup when dealing with greater numbers, needing a search party or when it's too dark to go chasing.. The Converse one disturbs me the most. Im from a neighborhood just down the road thats known for gun violence. Its only getting worse. About a year or two ago a 13 year old boy was shot in the head by another 13 year old boy in the park right behind my house. The name of my neighborhood is Sunrise but some call it "Gunrise". When you tell people youre from Sunrise they always ask, "Good side or bad side".

Hey awesome video! I just noticed that on the Ori Chef lady, the "names" were in Filipino or in a way is. For example "Sect Rate Ray" for secretary. "Sum Bun Gera" being "sumbungera" or snitch. "Mai V Ahai" being "may bahay" or homeowner. "Ing Gi Tera" for "Inggitera" or envious. The captions and hashtags are all in Filipino saying things like always brush your teeth or always use deodorant etc etc. The facebook game request thing is also pretty valid. The spam accounts here in PH are absurd. Some money making games also benefit from "referrals" so it's quite casual here to have multiple accounts for such purposes. Love your videos!

So the one with the guys outside their house who started shooting...that happened like 10 minutes from where I live. I remember everyone on my friends list sharing this on Facebook and freaking out! It’s absolutely terrifying to know that there’s people capable of doing something like that so close to home. Like have I seen those people? Have I met those people, or interacted with them? I would have no idea. You always see this shit, and know it’s scary, but when it’s so close to you...it becomes tooooo real.
The reality is that you have very likely encountered people capable of such things, and worse. Situational awareness+preparedness+survival mindset...always.
Something similar happened at a store like 1 block away. Luckily from what I know, no one got hurt.

The clip with the people pulling up to their home where their sleeping mother lays inside and 2 guys with guns are crouched outside, REALLY HIT HOME FOR ME. I CANNOT IMAGINE BEING IN THAT CAR. These guys shoot out the tires, the windows, clearly they DID NOT CARE IF THEY KILLED ANYONE AT ALL. And to me that is the most terrifying part. THANK GOD the driver or whomever took control of the situation was smart to make every move they made. It's situations like THIS ONE that shows if you go against your most basic instinct and you do something other then what your heart, head & soul is telling you to do, then you or someone you love could end up dead because of one different choice made. I CANNOT believe they kept such cool heads to where they were able to do everything they could to save their mom and whoever else was in the house and to save themselves as well. I just cannot believe in a town that size law enforcement was unable to catch the perpetrators. To me something doesn't sit right concerning THAT PART of this situation. I'd be at the P.D. or S.D. DAILY demanding to know what have they done to look any closer at the case or to conduct any interviews with people in the area etc. I hope these people have a peaceful existence where they live, or they moved elsewhere. I'd worried about the guys coming back if they see their faces. I'll be praying for that family and keeping up with the case since I work alongside Federal law enforcement. Hi! The Bill Mead case was not disturbing at all. It was heartbreaking. Feels wrong to retell his story with a creepy music. It was admireable that he was dedicated to his belief. And even during the worst of his cancer he was still thinking of the doctors. Rest in Peace Bill.

orie said something about using rental computers, so i actually think she's a real person who makes accounts on rental computers and forgets the passwords, explaining why she has so many of them. the gore and cryptic messages can easily be explained: other people will rent the computers and her account will still be logged in, and some of those people most likely are just losers with bad sense of humour.
