    Man that terminal illness thread is damn depressing, I always wonder what the internet will look like in 70 or so years time, since people these days start Twitter,Instagram and Facebook accounts when there really young it means that eventually we will be able to look at peoples accounts from when they started it from like 13 or so all the way until there elderly and die, it might just be me but I find that thought of being able to basically scroll through someone’s entire life crazy

      Death is pretty horrifying either way. Now I don't know about you but everything I'm about to say makes me extremely depressed and it will most likely do the same.
      The way I look at death is a curse, If heaven exists, we get eternal life. This sounds amazing at first sight. But after the first few thousand years humanity will have accomplished everything if we're not having to worship God every flipping second of our lives. So that makes eternal life a curse as well. Now if heaven does not exist (Im more convinced that heaven exists though because of certain events), Thats literally eternal life but with nothing to do. Lose Lose situation imo

    The Reddit posts about what the final days would look like if you knew you had limited time made me so emotional. I’ve been cancer free for over 10 years now, and I’d be lying if I didn’t Google those exact questions. I was a child when I was diagnosed, so I couldn’t imagine dying when I had just starting really “living” yknow. Even as a kid, you know what the doctor’s faces mean though you don’t know words like prognosis or malignant means, or when your mom walks out of the room to cry, when class mates bring you cards in the hospital and your dad is asking what you want for Christmas in June. I’m very thankful that my outcome has changed, but those thoughts stay. What happens if I die tonight, tomorrow, next week. You experience things differently. • @RCButterfly
      @RCButterfly 3 роки тому +68

      While the police response is appalling, I can also understand where the police are coming from as they likely have bigger problems to deal with and police are just not trained to deal with ongoing mental health problems. The governments have to have a long history of documentation to show that a mentally unsound person must be deprived of "their rights" of personal sovereignty for the good of society and most people are just not willing to jump through the hoops to deal with what it takes to have someone forcibly institutionalized. If you are willing to jump through the hoops, it means that you have to deal with the psychosis in the meantime documenting the assault, harassment, property damage, etc sometimes for YEARS which can be a huge pain. In the end voluntary or involuntary institutionalization is VERY VERY expensive, which likely explains why the mother was attempting to keep her mentally-ill daughter at home with her, despite clearly not be capable to managing someone with that level of mental health troubles. Instituting a societal mental health safety net that actually helps keep people like the daughter from becoming that level of trouble is EXTREMELY costly which is why bills for such things keep getting shut down in state and federal legislatures in the USA. My own sister was bipolar and we spent the last 5 years of her life dealing with her being in and out of mental health wards, which cost a fortune and can't really provide the level of care it would take to provide treatment with lasting results.

    I think my favorite last photo that just seems eerie to me is of David Johnston taken the morning of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens. Even more bizarre than that are the photos of a photographer who snapped pics of the mountain erupting and then knowing he would not make it he wrapped his camera up as good as he could and laid atop it so his photos would survive. They are scary photos.. you can see the ash cloud coming towards him.

    That 3rd story about people with terminal illnesses posting on Reddit really got to me. Over the last few years I came across quite a few people on UA-cam who told their stories about having cancer or other illnesses, and they'd document their fights and treatments. They'd sometimes receive good news about their treatment apparently working well. Then there'd be bad news again. Sometimes they'd cry, sometimes they'd be full of hope and happiness and making plans, being happy about their treatment working really well. And then, they'd just stop posting. And a family member would post a video message, announcing that they had just passed away. Stuff like that never fails to make me cry.

    Man... How is everyone is not talking about the World Trade Center form but spooked by everything else? The fact that how accurate they were and how precise it was and not only a year later this happened it makes you wonder, who was looking at that thread… not saying terrorists potentially visited that form (but not ruling it out either just highly doubt it) but the accuracy is just so creepy they literally predicted this event will happen and the fact that people explained it as a “hellish” scenario makes it more sinister especially when they dive deep into how many would die… and they even mentioned a possible tower collapse. This is one of the eeriest things I have read as this was the biggest attack in American history….This changed the world as we know it today no other story on this video had an impact on society as serious as the September 11th attacks. I am speechless the people who wrote this form probably had a heart attack when this actually happened..

However, in this case I feel the police truly could have done more sooner because there was nothing normal about the person’s behaviour. Yes, the person suffered from mental health issues and wasn’t necessarily a “bad” person but that doesn’t mean others should have tolerate it or walk on eggshells in their own home. Plus, since her mental health was so severe, her behaviour was unpredictable so maybe eventually she would have been capable of murder. I feel the police failed the OP, her family and the neighbour.

You can't just scream death threats at random people. The police refusing to do a wellness check until she *tore a softball-sized hole through their wall* was nothing but ridiculous. When I saw the faces of the last two girls, I ... I knew exactly what story it was.
    I was travelling in occult circles on the internet for years and I had become somewhat friendly with a lot of theistic satanists and occultists of different variations,
    for example someone who called herself a Rounwytha of the Order of Nine Angles.
    The killer in the last story was influenced by an occultist called E.A. Koetting, who made videos and books about engaging in pacts with demons and the like...
    the killer thought he was making a pact with a demon called 'Lucifuge' and that he was going to get rich in exchange for sacrificing women to him.
    I know it sounds completely crazy, but the actually crazy part is that I'm not making this up.
    E.A. Koetting, the so-called 'guru' that the killer was following, used to be the leader of one of the most effed-up occult currents of all time, the 'Tempel ov Blood'.
    He wasn't called E.A. Koetting back in the day though, he went by the alias 'Archaleus Baron' and wrote a book called 'Apex of Eternity', which... I can't even begin to describe.
    It's literally a manual about how to kill as many people as possible without getting caught and doing it to 'feed the blood pool' and 'summon the dark gods'. It's honestly wild.

    I think the worst part of the murder of the two girls at the end is the way their case was treated. Not only were they killed in such a savage way, but the police refused to cooperate with their worried family. So much so that friends and family of the girls had to search for them and eventually ended up finding them. Their bodies were later illegally photographed and spread by police, leading to an investigation that found racism and weird sexual jabs at the dead girls had been spread by the officers on the case. The 9/11 situation reminds me of a story my gf tells me a lot, in Mexico City one day she was driving with some friends and they were below the newest Metro line built in 2012, talking about corruption issues within the country. My gf, who isn’t Mexican but Nicaraguan, asked if there was the possibility of any of those suspended Metro stations falling down, because in her country no such infrastructure exists, therefore it kinda gave her chills to be driving below a whole Metro line, to which the driver, who was also an architect, stated that in no way something like that could happen, making them talk about the infrastructure of the whole metro, to the point that they concluded that if a suspended station was to fall, it would most likely not be the L12 because of it being the “newest and most modern one of them all”.
    Well, I kid you not that exact line, the newest one, was the one who fell exactly at the stations my girlfriend used to live and therefore use. She was so shocked by the fact that she was so relieved after that conversation just to end up happening only a week later. Now the Metro as a whole really creeps her out, specially because of other stuff that have been happening over here with infrastructure issues.

A neighbor was recently using a leaf blower a few houses away while I had a migraine and, despite my rage and the pain, I nicely asked him how much longer he was going to be using the leaf blower. I left and came back when he was done. My point is that just because the girl has mental health problems that doesn't excuse being abusive. If she or her parents refuse to act like adults, however, the smartest thing for the young mom to do is move. I know what it's like to want to beat someone to a pulp for causing me pain but it's no excuse to actually do it.

      Honestly the mother shouldn’t have to move. The tenant with the repeated harasser should have to move. I hate loud, repeated, incessant noise too, I am on the spectrum. However I find it infuriating that her behavior was brushed aside. If she is so bad off that she can’t be reasoned with, then it’s up to her parents to do something about it. If they refuse then I’m sorry, but they have to find somewhere else to go. It’s unfair to expect that apartment to just remain empty, or to have the tenants be subject to her abusive behavior. The fact that the police reacted the way they did should have gotten them fucking fired. Your job is to maintain the peace, not ignore when someone is being a constant and unavoidable nuisance. Ultimately though I can sympathize a little, I still don’t think it’s fair to let woman and her parents live there and harass those staying in the apartment next door. She has a problem, that they refuse to do anything about and it’s made the lives of those living next door untenable. That’s not right.

      @@MathewSteeleAtheology I understand that, however it lets the people who should be handling this off the hook. This is behavior that has happened before. And nothing was done. The failure of both the parents and the police cannot be understated. If you have someone this mentally disturbed, they need to be checked into a long term care home. Someone like that should not be in the world causing mental and emotional damage to random people. On one hand her reactions are likely not her fault and speak to some serious mental condition, however babies cry. That can’t be helped either. I understand that if moving is the only possibility then they should just move. I’m simply saying that it doesn’t solve the underlying issue of both the non reaction by the police and parents, as well as how that apartment is just supposed to be left vacant so as to not bother what is clearly a severely disturbed adult woman.

    There actually was a disturbing incident in german live TV a few years ago. It happened in the show "Wetten, dass...". Usually a show targeted to an older audience. People would claim that there can do a certain thing and star guest have to decide wether ot not they will succeed. It was sometimes small things like taking up egg yolk with chopsticks and stuff like that. But sometimes the performance was more dangerous. And than one day a young man and his father were in the show. The Son, a stuntman, claimed that he could jump over a driving car using those big "jumping shoes". After a first jump everything seemed fine. He jumped high, and made a roll in the air successfully jumping over the driving car. Then the second attempt... He jumped, rolled but he wasn't high enough. His head hit the driving car. He broke his neck live on TV, hit the ground and wasn't moving anymore. The camera caught the impact but was taken off the scene showing the shocked faces of the star guests. Then the live show was interrupted and ultimately said to not go live again that day. The show was cancelled afterwards (it aired a few years later but never was as big as before. For reference: it was big enough to have Michael Jackson as a guest performer). The young man survived but he is paralysed from the neck below. I actually always watched the show. I'm glad that I didn't watched it that day. I only tried to tune in later and was confused that it apparently ended so soon. I later saw what happened in the news. The man was a professional stuntman but sometimes things don't go as planned.

Death is something everyone has to deal with throughout their life & then when it ends, but we so rarely talk about such things as a society, at least here in the US. @@dropyourselfThat's literally the exact thing that is covered under what OP said. Besides, if I threatened someone with harmful actions in front of the police, then honest officers would arrest me for verbal assault, threats of violence and a few other charges. These cops are just failures.

    I was facebook friends with Cynthia. We had played the same casino game with occasionally liking each others posts/pics It was a shock knowing that happened to someone that I shared FB with. They had another family member that I won't name make a post to her friends about what had happened. I honestly did not know about how bad she had it with her daughter.

    I just found these videos today. And all I have to say is, I think its a great idea, and thank you for doing this. Even if its a small several minute case, its worthy to speak of so others get their story told.
    Also, I am enjoying your channel! I love the dark and creepy, especially on the internet.

    That World Trade Center one literally left me speechless, I had chills throughout the whole segment, that is possibly the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen on the internet, an entire group of people predicting a disaster that would actually happen and of course not knowing it

    • @AsymmetricalCrimes
      @AsymmetricalCrimes Рік тому +2

      I mean it was a forum about planes and there was already a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center just a few years before so the chances of someone bringing it up is higher than you might think. Alot of people forget the World Trade Center was bombed before in 1993 so it was still very much a recent memory. Still eerie though.
