The Soulmate was my first Sally Hepworth read in May! I loved it as well and immediately checked out The Family Next Door by her from my library. That one was a 4 ⭐️ for me so I’ve been collecting her back list. I really enjoy her writing style
i’m a new subscriber and you’ve definitely convinced me to read the last word! i looooved no exit (i also didn’t read hairpin bridge because of meh reviews) but i had no idea he had another book coming out!! adding this to my tbr asap x
I recommend, It’s One of Us by JT Ellison. It’s her newest release that came out last month. It’s a fun thriller that is a bit unlike others. I think you may enjoy it.
I DNF’d both the Tudor and Finlay books as well. And I liked their previous books. I can’t wait to read The Last Word. I’m glad you liked it. Not sure about the cheesy description though.
Something along the lines of Hex that you might like better is Burial Rites by Hannah Kent, it's historical fiction not fantasy but it was great! Two great mystery thrillers I read were A Madness of Sunshine by Nalini Singh and Insomnia by Sarah Pinborough. Two feminist dystopians I loved were Vox by Christina Dalcher and The Core of the Sun by Johanna Sinisalo
I can completely see the connection between Giddings and Reid. I think that’s why I like her too. Looking forward to The Soulmate. I’ve heard only good things. Jealous you got an ARC of The Last Word! I’m planning a reading vlog that includes that one once I can get my hands on it. 😈
I ordered through Book Depository (which is actually now shutting down 😢) but there may still be time to order. I’m not sure the exact date they’re closing the business
I really liked Hairpin Bridge by Taylor Adams. But I'm not hard to please. I like most every thriller I have read. 😊 I can't wait to read his new book. I want to pick up Lakewood now.
2:02 This Alex Finlay book was SO weird. If you told me this was written by someone entirely different I would have believed it 😆My favorite by him was The Night Shift, but What Have We Done was a wild ride. 6:14 I'm reading A History Of Fear this month 😬 I have the audiobook too, so maybe that will help.
I’m so glad someone else can validate my feelings with Spy Family recently. Love it, obviously. But it is beginning to drag a bit and get episodic. Which is unfortunate
I absolutely loved Our Wives Under the Sea. It's so beautifully written. Oh no, such a shame that you found The Drift disappointing. I'm looking forward to picking that one up and seeing what I think. I really enjoyed The Burning Girls and I liked The Chalk Man too. I can't wait to read The Soulmate. Sally Hepworth is definitely one of my favourite thriller authors ☺
I am so excited for The Last Word.

I was so excited to see that you loved the new Taylor Adams! Looking forward to it! I haven't read Hairpin Bridge for the same reasons!
I'm looking forward to The Last Word. I'm glad you liked it - I have not read any Taylor Adams books yet.

I’m still glad I read The Drift, and I even talked myself into appreciating it more in the live show discussion with Elizabeth. Hope you enjoy!
