Being able to tune in you W are like the YZ‘s is just awesome. I do a lot of hard Enduro single track and the 2023 has the YZ head on it now. Wow this bike is awesome WR 250 F 2023.
Hello mate thank you very much helped me so much, One thing I would love to know, if I load hard hitting map etc, how to you take it back of so its standard maps.
Hello! If you want to go back to stock all you have to do is put a zero in all the cell blocks on both the ignition and the fuel and that will put it back to the stock values.
Depends on the bike and what mods have already been done, like exhaust and such. But a good place to start would be to add about 2 to 3 degrees timing across the board. The slowly play with the fuel till you find the sweet spot.
@@UpAllNight91 I'm sorry I wasn't alittle more detailed. 2017 Yz450 has a port job, bills pipe and a 14.1 piston. The 2013 has a stock piston out of a 2017 yz450, lexx slip on, and a port job.
@@leesbikelife2231 With the higher compression the motor might not like adding timing. Depending on the fuel used it may even run better with less timing. With the higher compression ratio and ported cylinder head it actually may be best to put the bike on a dyno and sort things out, its safer on the motor at least. If you do try to do it on your own you will want to go easy and make small changes slowly.
Hello Tynz be in Belguim! The twin air power flo kit removes the screen on the intake, so it will flo more air. With more air flo the motor should respond well by adding more fuel in the tune. Mainly in the 50% to 100% throttle range. I would start by slowly adding fuel and see how it feels. Then dial in the timing in that area for the type of feel your looking for.
Hello. In my experience the YZ250F works best with the air box unmodified. But when its modified it will usually require more fuel. So I would add fuel though out the RPM's. How much is hard to say, you will need to just test and tune but surely it will require more fuel, since more air is entering the motor now.
Not really. The best you could do is pull like 3 or 4 degrees timing across the board. Maybe add about 1 to 2 on the fuel and run a few teeth less on the rear sprocket.
Having ran dynos on with vp mr12 on a vortex ecu with full akrapovic system and a professional tuner we found it the fuel gave about 1.3hp on an otherwise stock motor. About the same amount as putting the spark arrestor IN. yes it made more peak power with the spark arrestor in the pipe. I'm not saying race fuel won't help improve a heavily modified motor but if it's pour in power you're after, from what we found, you're better off spending on tyres, brakes, and training time.
I honestly dont know. I never tuned in a 2019 250f. But if I had to I would start by looking at the maps yamaha suggest for the bike. They usually offer 3. Pick the 1 that uses the most + in the timing area and thats going to be the most powerful they offer. Then you can tweek it from there.
Great job. Thanks for the detailed info esp on being able to change the Throttle position and RPM values on the tuner
Thank you. I’ve been searching for this for a while. Beautifully done.
Your welcome! Glad it helped, thanks for watching!
I have been looking for a tunner tutorial for my older 2014 yz450. Pretty detailed, thanks for the intel.
Yeah thanks for watching!
Thanks for explaining all that. Couldn't get a straight answer from anywhere 😊
Your welcome!

Right on. Yes I agree, being able to tune these with just a handheld is so awesome and convenient.
Thank You much!! Just got my Gytr kit today for 23 wr250f.
Ahh awesome! Enjoy the new GYTR kit!
thank you. I was looking for a video like this for a while now, well explained
Your welcome. Glad it helped. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great video
Thanks!
Nice, Thanks!!
Yes sir!
Thank you!
Yes sir!👍
You can also change the rpm if you press position.
So you can have rpm start from 0 of yoy want
Thats true. My brother schooled me in on this while I was doing this video. Right on
Thanks🙏🙏🙏
You welcome!

What would you suggest for hardest hitting from start to finish, without running too lean?
Depends on the bike and what mods have already been done, like exhaust and such. But a good place to start would be to add about 2 to 3 degrees timing across the board. The slowly play with the fuel till you find the sweet spot.

what the best mapping for yz250f 2019 all stock but i need power thank you for reply 💙💙
Hi there how about negative 10 for fuel is that bad for the motor?
Neg 10 is surely going pretty far on the lean end. I would be cautious about going too lean.
Do different maps use different amounts of fuel?
Yes, although by a very small amount.
@ thanks

I havé a 250yzf2019
I like to have power to high rpm and I have a power flow kit What do you think I need to set? ( hi from belguim)

2019 250f moods is airbox only what is your suggest maps?

Can you use +11 on the base map…?
I always tun up everything I own to 11 from the base map.
I dont know if it will go that far.
Is there anyway to tune it to have less engine braking?
No there is not with the tuner. The best you can do to ease some engine braking is raise the idle RPM's some.
Can u cut off a half of its power using app? To make 450 beginner friendly 😊
Not really. The best you could do is pull like 3 or 4 degrees timing across the board. Maybe add about 1 to 2 on the fuel and run a few teeth less on the rear sprocket.
what map makes it stall less often?
No sure the mapping will effect stalling any.
@@UpAllNight91 thanks.
Would this be why the plugs keep fouling on my yzf250
Depends if the map is set really rich
Thanks bro
Yes sir!
How would I tune my 2023 yz250f to get the most power out of vp t4?
I don't have experience with vp14. But if i was to try i would just start with trial and error. Tuning in by how she feels

I got a 2018 yz450 and I want to turn it into a yz350 😂 … someone help with a map settings for this year …
Theres not much you can do to tame it down. I mean you can soften the hit some by removing some of the timing but thats about it.
Terms: Advance or retard the ignition timing, richen or lean out the fuel delivery.
what the best map yz250f 2019 ?

tp map can you give me? my yz250f 2019
The TP map is for the 450, not the 250f
More fuel - less timing makes it softer and the opposite more hard hitting , it literally tells you what to do in the app
How do I change it to mph ?
No. Only RPMs .
