Love this. I focused on this a lot when I was first starting to spar and build my foundation. People get really frustrated constantly having to reset and find you.
JT always keeps coming up with good stuff with every video he puts out. I learned so much from his UA-cam videos, of course I put in the work and practice what he teaches, but my game evolved a lot from practice of what he teaches in every video on UA-cam. I'm looking forward to becoming a member (as soon as I work out somethings) this is definitely one channel I would recommend for every boxer at any level. He puts stuff out excellent for beginners and has stuff beneficial for boxers like me that's been boxing/training for a number of years. When I'm not at a gym training I keep learning and growing in boxing because of this channel and a few others. This channel has been putting out gems for a lot of years and how he keeps coming up with stuff and not run out of ideas for videos is amazing. Thanks for all you do for the boxing community JT. Much respect bro
The step before pivot is the most important. If you dont step to one side before you pivot you will get popped the majority of the time. Because you lean a little forward and leave your head in the same spot. If you watch his head while he pivots his head stays in the same spot but his body moves. Its sweet when you pull it off in sparring but it's one of the most difficult to get.
I’ve been confused about stepping the left foot forward and when/why to do it. This is about my fifth UA-cam video and I finally get it! This is by FAR the best explanation. Thank you so much
Best informative tutorial I've seen in a while. Very basic but not so basic movements that can change an amateur into someone really good. Thank you for sharing God bless 🙏🏽
Another thing is man when you drill this, the step you take is small in a drill bit if you really wanna get to the side of your opponent you have to take a larger step. Sounds minor but it makes the difference in pulling it off
Hey love the video ! Let me know and I’ll do a sparring match with you. I was a in the junior Olympics in boxing when I was 16. I still love to box and still train daily. Let me know I would love to train and box!
Hi JT I've been following you for almost 2 years & I've learned a lot from your videos and content so thank you so much for it till now even though I don't comment usually. I've been boxing for like 2 years on & off mostly training alone watching your content and drills dat my coach taught me. But now I'm in new country wid new coach & I have developed bad habits like being in toe, twisting, off balance, not able to setup. And this keep really stress cause I have developed self critic rational thinking and I feel very low abt myself. I've got first fight upcoming 2 months and I feel no confidence. Can you make video on how to keep oneself courage and discipline despite all of our weakness and failures And Advice on how to have a positive mindset . Thank you I hope you response my comment cause I need it 😫
I hope you are feeling better right now. I just saw this message. Most of the time confidence comes from training hard. Even Pacquiao and other pro fighters can have messy technique, but they train hard and give it their all. If you can put in full effort and train lots of rounds you will gain confidence.

Thank you Kenneth!
Footwork really seems to be one of those things seperating good from great. Awesome vid! Can you also make a video on speeding up your jab
Great suggestion!
@@PrecisionBoxing hello JT ,
Can you please make a series on boxing for Street Fighting / Self defense 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Footwork in my opinion is the number one tool necessary in any form of fighting
Indeed no less than Floyd Mayweather said it's all in the pivot and movement as defence, and opening up your rival like a buffet table.🥊⚡🎯🌠
@@PrecisionBoxing Floyd uses a less area to cover snap out short jab , a few variations you'll have
Man, this video was so on point with everything regarding pivots footwork and turning your opponent. I love it.
One Of The Best Footwork Videos I've Seen.

I miss your fight prediction videos and Q& A videos
Thank you I should do some fight predictions again
wow that extra hop is nice, it does force your opponent to reset
The tip about stepping in close to the right before the pivot right step seems crucial, I'll give it a try sparring.
I like moving to the left and right demo. Thanks coach

Nice, I appreciate that from you Mike. You have a lot of skill and experience!
You never disappoint coach! Wonder who's your fav boxer?
Mike Tyson for sure, but Pacquiao is a close second. Then B-hop, Cotto and RJJ third
awesome! a girl from South Korea👍🏻❤
Excelente 👏🏿👏🏿
I learned my foot work doing capoeira but in terms of boxing , I think you’re great if you can throw hands and ur foot work on 100!
Capoeira is great footwork, I love the ginga!

Nice flow JT! It would do me good to work on this again. Never too much 😁🙏

Was AJ-Usyk 2 an inspiration for this lesson?
I mentioned that fight but I cut it out of the video because I was talking too much lol. But definitely yes!!
Tunjukan cara memukul bola yang menggantung itu.
❤
Look at his lead foot during the pivot……
It’s not lazy it’s well alive and turning too
Good eye! thank you
can i do pendulum while iam doing this
most definitely, if it suits your style
@@PrecisionBoxing Ok bro.
Ok👍💚
Dudes teaching this from a storage locker lol. I have no excuses.
Its my garage actually, but yeah neither of us have excuses.
🔥🔥🔥🌊🌊🌊
Great if your a small fighter not so if you're tall with long arms
I'm 6'4 with long arms I don't wanna be learn forward ever
Exactly watch Amir Khan get his hips turned and layed out by Bud!
Ahhh so that's why im getting caught with punches. I dont move my other leg to pivot so thats why i also have brain damage
you are wrong..look at mani paquiao movements .he always move over his right far from his oponent's right and even the jab can't launch
Maybe show some very basic footwork? Somebody watching this will try this and get KO
🤣🤣🤣
Joshua is far from greats.
You got no hands
Very nice
