Just an FYI you can use voice command to open your glove box in model 3. turn on your wipers tell the car what address to go to and much more.

Who mounted your tires? Have you noticed the difference of your rims from right and left side?
Magnus, Tesla ended up not being able to order/mount the specific tire I wanted (Michelin CrossClimate). So I ordered tires from Tire Rack and sent them to Tread Connection (mobile tire installer) and had them come out and install them. No noticeable differences...do you have differences in your rims from left to right side?
I inspected my tires when they were being swapped out and they were actually all pretty evenly matched on how they wore out. Impressive especially knowing how I drive 🤣
Check the way your "blades" on your rims are facing.

Krisztiantth, this is my PO, but I think it still looks better than 99.9% of cars out there. It may not be as revolutionary as it once was in 2012 but other auto manufacturers still haven’t caught up...they have had 8 years to beat it on looks, performance, range, tech, etc and they just haven’t. Disappointing for them but only happiness for us whenever someone orders one!

When you drive your model 3, do you have issues going over speed bumps? If so what issues have you had?
Jayven, thanks for reaching out! No issues in going over speed bumps thus far but I do drive over them slowly and at an angle when I can (just in case). I have had issues periodically with driveways and scraping the bottom lip up front due to the low height of the car. For those driveways, if I reverse in, usually it helps ensure I don’t scrape.

Had a Model S 100d and sold it after 7 months as, coming from Audi, I was missing the premium German quality. I’m now driving an etron S Sportback; I love it (Check my videos) but I’m impatiently waiting for the upcoming Model S refresh as I’m missing the Tesla features 😊

Tesla make great technologically advanced cars for the now and future. But, I’m tired of everyone so hyped about the acceleration. This is an everyday people’s car for the road. You never need this much power anyway. The Model 3 for example has more than enough, and for less money. I know speed and acceleration has always fascinated mankind but there are other things this car does well and serve more useful. I suppose it’s for the bragging rights, like people who have like a 500 hp ICE car.
Jens Ericson, I hear ya but I think about it in this way...because the car is so technologically advanced, it has separated Tesla from the rest in multiple areas but especially in acceleration. Think about when EVs first started rolling out, you had the Nissan Leaf, the BMW i3 (hybrid-esqe), VW E-Golf, and even the BMW i8 which are all cool but extremely slow. Tesla came in, made a car filled with so much tech AND blew the doors off the rest of EV cars available and most ICE cars on the road. For me, that’s my fascination with their acceleration.
@@EVandChill Well, I see it that Tesla has especially serperated themselves in many ways apart from the acceleration. Sure it’s a serious boost, but the BMW i8 you mention is NOT extremely slow. Simply false claim. However, not sure if the ICE engine in that car helps it out all the time for the acceleration. An electric motor without gears can have this sort of torque, Tesla beefed it up and I guess you pay for that.
What I see Tesla has done, and mainly should be admired for, is how they made an EV that is equal (or better) to a regular ICE car. The tech it’s stuffed with is great but in many examples, Tesla didn’t invent the wheel. Cars before have cameras, closing doors, sensors, etc. Tesla just made these work in a coherent and neat way, similarily to how Apple works. Tesla made an everyday car to completely substitute the regular ICE car many drive. THAT’S what I admire with Tesla.

@1:06, a premium car does not use frameless doors as this Model S. Frameless door allows too much noise intrusion inside the cabin. Frameless door is cheaper to make and more profit for Tesla, but bad for the car owner.
Uber Menschen, not sure that is entirely true. No doubt that frameless doors are more complex in keeping noise out but Mercedes, BMW, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, etc all have vehicles with frameless doors and I would classify them as premium cars.
@@EVandChill ::: big auto makers produce low, Middle, and high end cars for every budget. The high end cars have frame doors and even double glass to keep noise level low. Frame doors also provide additional rigidity where auto body/ chassis needs it as in some off road vehicles. Tesla cheeped out using frameless door. Tesla also uses cheaper material for interior construction. What a shame.
Uber, your criteria for high end doors must be astronomically high because there are several vehicles that have an MSRP above $100k with frameless doors. I will agree that they do utilize double plane glass as well as active noise cancellation in most cases which helps with keeping the noise out.
As far as the interior, again, your standard is high. We have had a Porsche 911 where the interior creaked...just speaking from personal experience in owning a variety of priced vehicles. Interior of my Tesla doesn’t creak and the vegan leather is the most comfortable car we have sat in that is under $150k.
@@EVandChill ::: frame door is a bit heavier than frameless and also inappropriate for convertible (looks funny when the soft top is retracted). For high end sporty cars in need of a certain aesthetic and weight reduction the frameless door is preferred. In these type of cars their performance, appearance, handling, and acoustic feed-back to the driver justify the frameless door -- lower manufacturing cost is a fortuitous byproduct. “Creaky” interior is a sign of unintended poor manufacturing or design flaw rather than low grade material. The majority of car critic and Tesla owners share a common complaint: Tesla’s cheap or cheesy interior materials. Tesla intentionally selected them to save a few bucks just as in the selection of the frameless door. But then a few bucks multiplied by a few million cars equal big money.

This Model S with it being Performance trim and having the 21 inch wheels is 334mi of range.

We had new tires being put on. Old ones lasted about 30k miles and they were rated for 45k...I might have an acceleration problem..🤣

I would say that it is a pretty large car that has no problem fitting even two car seats. The backseat has maybe about the same or even a tad bit more room than our Honda Accord due to no transmission hump.

John, we were getting new tires on our car but whenever we make a service appointment, in the remarks section, we always request a loaner so we don’t end up in an Uber. So far, we have had our car in for service twice (HW3 upgrade, tires) and both times we have had Model S loaners so 👍🏼😃

@@EVandChill I want one that is actually affordable. $107,000 you can tell that the future, a lot of people will be without cars. This is a joke in my eyes, where is the practical cars to drive from point A to point B???????
Eric, it all depends on what you consider affordable. If it’s less than $40k there are quite a few options to choose from already. Less than $20k, then you are def looking at buying used. Obviously the cheaper the ev, the more likely that it has less range so it’s a pros/cons scenario of your daily/weekly requirements and financial means that will boil down your choices.
If you think about it, gas vehicles started the same way. It was horse and buggies for the most until cars were made cheaper which enabled more people the option to buy them. EVs are still relatively in that early stage.
@@EVandChill I see and understand your point. You have the same opinion with gas cars and yes if power grids go out it’s toast as well. As you notice in California people will be forced to convert in time no matter your financial means. As in being in California, they are constantly shutting down our power grids that these electric cars are dependent on more so than gas cars. For me, I have two Nissan Xterra a 06 and a 2015, both priced at $35,000. One manual and the other automatic. I bought my manual cause I love to switch gears. I guess I’m trying to say is it’s hard for me to justify $107,000 electric car that you can’t depend on the electric grid as our Governor keeps shutting the power off. Funny how the same person that makes these cars just left California and moved his business to Texas. Points of interest are, being forced and not being forced in any one direction is why these don’t make sense for me no matter my financial means. I’m not trying to argue, I’m just gasping at the price of these electric cars that just don’t seem to be practical to average people that just want to have a means of transportation. Personaly it’s hard for me to buy a self driving car in the future when my radio keeps turning itself on and off. I have had no issues with my Nissans and they are running strong. Didn’t you say in this video that your other Tesla was in the shop??? Maybe I heard wrong. No thanks to self driving cars. I only grew up with a mortician for a father and like to keep my life in my own hands. As so far in the America that we have, we still have the option to choice what car we want to buy and drive.

@@letfreedomring2699 you can’t get any other ev with better value, that is a fact. Tesla being unreliable is a myth or for isolated cases, that’s why you get 8 years warranty for the battery and drivetrain and 4 years for the rest. It’s an EV and therefore have few parts that can actually break down or wear out compared to ice cars that have so many moving parts. Tesla makes the most developed ev’s and nothing comes close.
