In all honesty, all Tesla owners that bought Teslas in 2021 and 2022 are pissed. I bought my Model 3 Performance for $65k back then, now it is much cheaper plus you can get a $7500 tax rebate on it as well. My wife's 2021 Tesla Model Y was $63k now it is also much cheaper with the tax rebate. This is all in USD btw. This kind of stuff makes me never want to buy another Tesla again.
Used Model S Plaids are dropping into the under $70k range now, so that's finally a decent price, not a $120k ripoff, lol. Model S P100D's are getting dirt cheap too, for similar performance, features, and the same exact looks.

now I drive a 3 and my next will be Tesla S! However, I dont need the Plaid.
Curious if you've run into the uneven tire wear issue (inside of tires wearing out significantly faster than outside due to the camber)? Saw some other YT video that talked about having to replace tires every ~10k miles due to this issue..
I doubt it’s going to hang with a turbo s other than in a straight line, also those front disks look so small I think that’s the problem
congrats on the 250k!
Dropped the price $56k...just goes to show how grossly overpriced Teslas have been without any real competition.
The plaid is cool but I’m more interested in that S1k 👀
Congrats on 250k! 💪🏾
It’s a great car but that depreciation is actually insane.
Man I raced one of these, in my Kia forte GT and I was very disappointed
I lost 😂
5 months later, and its dropped another !25 to 30 k! I would have bought one, except I can't get rid of my 22 model y performance...due to its epic drop in price too.
This kind of stuff makes me never want to buy another Tesla again.
why no tint?
Used Model S Plaids are dropping into the under $70k range now, so that's finally a decent price, not a $120k ripoff, lol.
Model S P100D's are getting dirt cheap too, for similar performance, features, and the same exact looks.
120,000 is a drop in the bucket for a car that you enjoy get into boating and then complain about depreciation.
KEEP IT! There is NOTHING comparable to that 1020hp 4door sedan that has Prius running costs and road manners like this thing! 8yr 150k mile warranty to! You need to drive it more infact!
great video man! id say keep it, teslas are the only cars i know that get better and better as they age, also tint your windows! more blacked out haha
Mate, what matters is if the car makes you happy. It can be the biggest POS, but in the end of the day if you are (mostly) happy ..that's it. I would not buy EV , especially Tesla , but when the tech significantly improves why not.
Once you are ready to sell it, let me know.
Not a fan of EVs by any means but this video caught my attention
i have a 2022 Model S Plaid and a Model 3 Long Range and combined ive lost $87,000 and ive only have them for a year and 3 months lmao
Used 2021 plaids are priced in the $60kish in the US
i like the rim,s what kind are they? did you lower the car also?
I just bought a black 2024 plaid with 500 miles for $72k. Was that a good deal? No fsd unlocked.
wow that is half of what he paid, Id say its a good day but im sure the prices will get cheaper. how you like yours so far?
@@CheickMbayeStoriesyeah prices are already falling. S Plaid was 94k, then 92k, now its 88k.
Im absolutely loving mine. Its like driving a roller coaster. I dont think i have ever had a car that is this fun to drive. Faster than a Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, Bugatti, etc at a fraction of the price. Sure I can nitpick-but on the whole, I love it!
@@mediamonk100 Thats amazing, congrats, hows the range and insurarnce
@@CheickMbayeStoriesthe insurance is just the same as a regular car. I have seen a few youtubers complaining about high insurance costs.
I have not seen that, so I question their driving records and what coverages they have.
No complaints with range but have found it really depends on how I drive. If I’m racing around in Plaid mode it uses a lot more battery. You’re only supposed to charge the battery to 80% as well. Going 30 miles usually costs around 10% of the battery driving in Sports mode. Lots of free charging options around town, and my Level 2 home charger charges at 11 KWH.
What rims ?
Well everybody and their mother knows that mass-produced cars go down in value. When you buy a car, you should expect to lose money. You buy a car because it makes you happy, helps your business make money, brings your business credibility and/or for status.
you can put carbon kit from TSK
Great video as always. Things not mentioned are interior design which Tesla doesn't have. Road noise, which I don't want to hear at that price, and harsh ride. Your camera was vibrating (I forgot the scene) because the car is not absorbing the road imperfections well enough.
I do consider it because it is a great value for money, but unwilling to sacrifice luxuriousness.
Getting one soon. Gonna get rid of my G63 for this, already love this ❤❤❤
The only reason I am thinking of getting one now, is because they have gone down in value so much. Sorry for your loss (and my gain.) 😄
Do you have a ioniq 5 N review
We don’t get it until June, lower sub channels like us don’t get stuff as quick haha.
Tesla is the best. I'm tempted to buy one
Bro the 2021 Plaids are going anywhere from $62-68k on average on Autotrader for a clean title with 20l - 45k miles
Sorry our numbers were CAD
When you said 2005 Subaru Legacy, I said SUBY #FTW!! Still have my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT (76,000 miles; needs timing belt replaced), and it’s a sweet ride. Always garaged .. until the 2024 Model Y Performance took the garage spot so … gettin’ dirty! LOVE my Tesla Model Y Performance and could possibly see a Model S in my future … maybe. Your Model S Plaid is SWEET!!!
Tesla is the best car company ever! No maintenance, no gas stations, no smog checks, no oil changes, #1 in reliability, #1 in cost of ownership, quiet and 0-60 in 2.9 seconds like a $700,000 Lamborghini.
Tell me that you are joking😅. Best in what? 0-60? 1/4 mile? Not even that anymore. Most EV's these days do exactly what they do just with a better quality. Yes number 1 in recalls 🤭. He just said they changed the front electric motor for 11k $$ . a car with 17k miles 😅😅😅😅
@@avis1978 I believe 99% of those recalls are over the air updates to software, next level car stuff. But common in the computer world.
Great video as usual :) ,,,,I saw a plaid wrapped in chrome it looked amazing, or how about a plaid wrap,,,they will know its a plaid then lol ?
16,000 miles and needed a new motor? Was that repair covered under warranty or you have to come out of pocket?
tesla paid for it.
Can someone send me the link to those wheels I've been looking for them for ages
Remember the first 42" inch Panasonic plasma TVs costing $4000? Now you can buy a 95" inch TCL 4K smart TV for under $2000 at Best buy.
Your model sp is sick dood keep it ,😊your mods are sweet !
Maybe make the door handles and the back of the rearview mirrors matte black.
The greatest daily driver in the world. Still. I enjoy mine, fully. Every single day.
My man said who would pay 20k for better performance and brakes 😂 on a Porsche there’s 20k damn near on color and stitching options alone and don’t even get me started on the bmw cs upgrade which is a 30k bump for more hp
Sell it for the new model 3 performance?
I have a 2022 Plaid, so much depreciation, probably will keep it as a daily drive
Overpriced
You must not have FSD because, at least to me, it is just as fun as its acceleration
