Star Fox 64: Sector Y Stage: Hard Path to Aquas

- This level is much more linear of getting an alternate route. One notable thing about this stage are its bosses: Ape-themed Gundams!
To get the Hard Path to Aquas, beat Sector Y with 100 or more points. It's pretty much based on how much you helped the squadron against Andross' army.

If you score less than 100 kill points in Sector Y, than you have to go to Katina and meet Bill, your buddy as of next mission. If you score 100 or more in Sector Y, than you go to Aquas. It is easier to get a medal on your next mission than Katina.

I remember accidentally making it to Aquas just once, and then trying so hard to replicate that. I never could. I thought there was some super special enemy I had to kill to trigger it. I must have tried 1000 times. This was before the internet so I couldn't just look it up and easily see that all I had to do was get a high score. xD
@@user72974 I had the opposite problem. I always made it to Aquas except for 4 times, but I was always so confused as to why I got redirected. Even on subsequent playthroughs, I’d still end up going to Aquas. I never knew it was tied to hits.
Ever since I was a kid playing this Ive wandered how to get the alt ending. Hard to believe the game is this old and ive still never seen 5 of the levels and never though to look it up. Thank you for completing my childhood 😂😂
In Sector Y, there are no enemies that are no enemies who are chasing Peppy, Falco, nor Slippy for the entire corridor mode before the encounter the boss or bosses in Sector Y, but if you take the upper path with Falco and along the way, Slippy is playing tricks with the enemies and Slippy said a few quotes: 1). "Ah-ha!, Thought you were hiding from me?" 2). "Escaping? I don't think so." & 3). "Hey, leave me alone!" The enemy fighters are chasing Slippy across the screen, but only briefly and Slippy does take a slight damage for his activity, but instead of chasing Slippy, the numerous enemies are veering to the left and go after Fox to destroy him, but Fox does use one of the smart bomb in his inventory to destroy all the enemies for a mass of points for not only to score more then 100 points to gain access to Aquas instead of Katina, but also get a medal on Sector Y by scoring 150 or more points, plus have all three of your Star Fox team, Slippy, Peppy, and Falco alive when completing Sector Y, and it is not too hard to do. Also it is true that you can score more then 150 points before encounter the boss battle to bring up to 170 points or something like that after you defeat the two mini bosses and the boss, Shogun and successfully completing Sector Y.

This was the first N64 game I ever played. I got it for the tenth birthday. This and Ocarina of Time. Nothing has ever compared.

If any one, two or all three of your teams are shot down by either of the two mini bosses and/or the boss, Shogun in Sector Y, but score more then 100 points, then Fox alone will quoted, "We're heading to Aquas, report in." Unlike most of next missions any or all of your Star Fox team, Peppy, Slippy, and Falco will return to Aquas, since Fox is operating a Blue Marine instead of Arwing. Slippy will approved his quote, "There ya go!", Peppy also approved his quote, "Your skills have improved Fox.", and Falco did also approved his quote, "I guess you're good for something."
1:44: "Fox! You're supposed to shoot 'em _all!_ "
3:22: "You're becoming a better pilot!"
The trick is to get less than 30 points for Falco's line or at least 30 to get Peppy's line at 1:44.
For 3:22 I guess get close to 100 or at least 90 to get Peppy's dialogue.

I've played through the hard route long time ago. because everytime I wanted to reach mission 3 the aquas ocean I've end up reached Katina by falco's line but it's not easy to get there.

They changed Slippy’s line to Something’s wrong,
I don’t see the enemy fleet in the 3DS version because there’s more light than the original version.
I mean there’s no light in Sector Y,
Which is why Slippy said Something’s wrong,
I don’t see anything.
