Yeah it's almost borrowed from a concept from fighting games called "stuffing" which basically involved interrupting an opponent's attacks and carrying on with your own, alot of that happened here.
Spent my whole life trying to study the opponent and make the perfect strategy to beat this game just for this guy to win the entire game without blocking or ducking.. truly amazing

@@WarriorType3 Sandman cannot be defeated without dodging/ducking/blocking unless you take mandatory knockdowns. This is the best possible fight with those restrictions. Otherwise, I can beat that fight consistently in the low 13 second range.
For the longest time I thought Mad Clown was simply just Bear Hugger disguised as a Clown so he can rematch "Little Mac". But now I know it's simply just to save up memory on the SNES Edit: turns out there's a lot more Palette Swaps in this game after all. Its just that Mad Clown is the most Noticeable one...
Yeah this was epic to beat as a young teen but still doesn't come near the first punchout a few years earlier. The world looks different to an 8 year old in 1987. Watching the older kids stuck at soda pop and where every enemy they beat felt monumentally and historically important lol. By the time this super punchout came out the innocence was stripped of us Xennials and we were jaded beyond recognition. Never felt as important as the first game.
i beat the first one when i was 15 or 16 but never beat this one. everyone says this one is a lot easier but for whatever reason i had an easier time with the first game.
I've beaten this one(Super Macho Man was really tough and if you weren't quick enough to counter Mad Clown's countering to your punches,you'd get clobbered). I have never lasted more than 35 seconds against Tyson in the first game though.
