The one thing I miss from the original N64 version was that the explosions from the bosses were so cool. Giant circular fireball going off as their last transmission sends is so epic. The 3DS version doesn't have that. The boss in the asteroid field looks fine, but most of the other ones are pitiful. Macbeth especially.
@@MasterMewtwo239It's not that the VAs are different that's the problem. It's that the new VAs weren't good at acting. You can tell a lot of the performances were phoned in with no effort or direction. It's especially bad with Andross.
There's something about not having the red sphere explosion after beating a boss that makes their defeat less impactful. At least on some of the bosses.
Challenges: 1) Defeat Granga by ONLY destroying the power unit on his back and nothing else. 2) Get the bad ending on Fortuna without shooting down any of the Star Wolf team OR letting any of your own team get shot down.
As I said on the video of the bosses for the original N64 version, you gotta love that this game isn't shy about the brutal fact that most of the bosses just straight up die in battle. Particularly the bioweapons, which blow apart in chunky fleshy pieces. Star Wolf are pretty much the only exception, and even then, your second rematch with them shows they didn't get out without a scratch.
Unfortunately, Starfox 64 3D has some rendering issues on Citra and its forks for certain levels that causes the game to essentially mirror itself, resulting in everything being upside down on the top screen. Not sure if the footage not being upside down, but the HUD elements being upside down is a workaround fix by fiddling with the emulator, or if it's a fix done in post through editing, but given that the UI elements are still animated and give real time feedback, it's likely there was a fix of some sort for 3d models, but the UI elements are still "broken" for some of the levels.
Man I love that timing at 4:02-4:08 as I've seen it before on another vid and it truly shows how anger can make you explode. XD I'm still hoping you attend to play Star Fox Zero as it's the only one I want to see you play to the best of your skills. >w
StarFox with 4 ships only destroyed freaking Sauser with its swarm of jets is beyond unbelieveable. Like in Star Wars Episode 7 where Poe alone attacked emperial dreadnought and somehow wasn't dead.
That was Episode 8, and he was as using some sort of special booster to go faster than normal, and he was merely disabling the turrets for the bombers to do the job of actually destroying it.
@@JulioErnestoRiveraLopez-qz2bi Oh, the screens top and bottom, I assume. It because vertical leaves most of the video player with black, empty space. So I recorded it like this to ensure it would fill up the entire screen.

Agreed. Easily my biggest grievance with this remake.
Combine that with the rumble pack and you had a top tier experience
I think the look is great but the sound in general is weaker.
While everything looks way better its a shame the voices dont sound as great as the past
Well duh, the voice actors are different.

Exactly same thought with train boss, n64 version so much better
Naw I disagree. The new voices had more feeling to it. The old ones are just nostalgia talking.
love the upscaling you did for this game, looks beautiful

Mecbeth's boss after hitting all the switches was so much fun to watch on the N64. The 3DS version was very dissapointing.
@TheFluBugZ The Aircraft Carrier in Cornaria puffing out like a malfunctioning firework.

My favorite part is where he can shoot 7 times a second, very cool 🤙🏻
Wait, what?!, you can't?
0:48 IM AN ALLIGATOR!
Didn’t even know this game got remastered, shame that literally everything about the audio is worse than the OG 64 version
Why is the hud sometimes upside down?

I loved this game and I often wonder if there will be a remake of it.
And I like this video too!😊
@@Kurota1540 starfox zero is the remake 👍
Why is the Blue Marine’s Shield Gauge upside down?
How do the lasers in this game deal so much more damage than the original?
I'm guessing Button Mashing real fast or Turbo Controller.

I only wish his scream cut off once he explodes.
@@EdD.Velazquez Well there's a chance that has happened in another player's playthrough of that battle somehow.
Alright, I’ll say it, I didn’t care for the music being remastered
It’s awful, can’t even stand to play this game because of it.😛
I think that it insists upon itself
funny that I remembered jo in this cleaner way
Andross looks less menacing without his long evil laughter.

Ugh. Don't bring up the sequel trilogy.
Why is the HUD upside down during the Vulcain fight? It's never been upside down on any of my playthroughs.
this looks SOOO much better than the Switch version what the heck!
I mean, the 3DS version is a remaster.
The one on Switch is the original 64 version.
@@mariocooper1996 yeah, they should've put this version on the switch

There are no secret bosses! 😡Thanks for the clickbait!😡
