    Thank you so much for learning the HFG socks with your tutorial. I am so so happy ❤. It is the most easiest way to knit a most fitted sock.

    Thank you for this excellent tutoral. The itsy-bitsy sock is so cute!!! :) Love the cast on tip for yarn. I always end up wasting too much. Would love tips for a matching pair with self-striping yarn. Yours always look so perfect.

    I love how you do the heel turn. So much easier than how I learnt it which involved complicated counting and getting to the middle of the heel flap stitches. Your way is so much nicer.

    Thank you, Anna, for such a clear tutorial. I’ve knits dozens of pairs of socks but mostly toe-up as I seem to always knit them too long when knitting cuff down. I bought your pdf so I’m going to try again knitting cuff down. I read through the pdf and was a bit confused about the toe decreases so watching you and hearing you explain it will help, I think. The other issue I’ve had with cuff-down is that my cast on edge is always a bit tight..less elastic than when I knit toe-up. I do use a stretchy cast on..would you think if I cast on with a larger needle then switch for the rest of the sock it would help? Thank you again for a great tutorial. ❤️ Suzette

    Awesome teacher Anna.. I have downloaded your knitting table, but just not clear on what the ‘after 1.’ ‘In the 3’ ‘in the 2’ relate to, is there another video explaining this please ?

    • @annaknitter
      @annaknitter  Рік тому +1

      You start your first decreasing round when you have reached the length of your foot (table tells you). Let’s take 21cm.
      Then the table tells you to decrease 1 time in your fourth round - That means: You knit three plain knitting rounds and then you decrease in the following round.
      Your table tells you now to decrease 4 times always in the third round. That means you knit two rounds and in the third round you decrease (you do that all in all 4 times). And so on.
      Did that help?

    Thank you Anna, I have knit socks before, but prefer your method. I watched the video through before I'll knit mine. My only problem is that I am very sadly very allergic to wool! Would you recommend a best yarn for non-wool sock knitters? This allergy is so sad to me as a person who loves to knit!

      Have you every tried the different plant fibres like modal, cotton or bamboo?

    • @VintageChrystelle
      @VintageChrystelle 2 роки тому

      @@annaknitter I have not, I'll try bamboo first. I just love the beautiful colors and look of wool! I purchased your chart on Etsy, so I'm excited to start! Thank you!

    hello Anna, I would love to knit socks for a male friend but I don't know his shoe size and want to surprise him. how could I do?

    • @annaknitter
      @annaknitter  2 роки тому +2

      When I am in this situation I try different things. For example when you see him make him a compliment about his shoes and ask incidentally what his shoe size is. If it’s a man he will never notice your investigation 😂 Or ask friends or family members of the person if they can tell you. And another way: Next time you visit him try to have a look under his shoes in the hallway. Did that help you?
      I did all these things and one thing always worked 😎 I should apply for a job at the FBI 🤣

    😬...what is the difference between dbl pointed needles and a circular needs ? Not sure I am ready for knitting socks 🤔

    • @annaknitter
      @annaknitter  2 роки тому

      Do you mean double pointed needles? They are five single needles your use to work in the round. Circulars are two needles connected by a cord to knit in the round. You can knit with both to make socks but it’s two different methods.
