I used to work in Krugersdorp 4 year's ago, where these women were raped is a very scary place even to look at. It's a mine dump outside of Azaadville full of swamps and bushes and illegal miners. The SAPS are in trouble due to a lack of decisiveness of leadership. We have all interacted with Police their SOPs are either not followed or they are terrible. Their vans do not look serviced the calibre of weapons they carry is to small. I don’t know what the fitness requirements are for SAPS am not sure how often they do a psychological evaluation as well as shooting competencies. If we don’t fix the above mentioned , no matter how many cops you have they will be lambs to the butcher. Command and control needs to be a priority as well as usable continuation training.
