How rude and dismissive are Mpofu he talks for moments at end and interrupt the other guest all the time. Fact is money invested by poor people found it's way to the EFF as a bribe for them to stop putting the heat on Zuma for the loan granted by VBS. Further evidence shows Malema spending some of the money on luxury goods, hotels and drinks. Why if the money was given to the EFF for party expenditure did their leader blow it on a personal spending spree?
EFF can not deny the fact that they got the money.
People also think that the money that was stolen is all money of individual depositors. That is not the case depositors ( identified ad poor people ) are about 30000 . The bulk of the money is Municipality money. The bank was a mutual bank and not a registered bank and by law municipality was not allowed to deposit in VBS. However through corruption by cbc and some municipal officials 15 municipalities deposited money in VBS. Northwest and Gauteng alone deposited R1.6 billions. The individuals ( poor people's) deposits, I believe is around R500 million.

But this "evidence" is not new, why must it be treated differently now as opposed to back in 2018 ? What changed ?

Prior to this, the evidence was based of financial records showing transactions to various entities.
As such, it left room for deliberation, conversation and altercation of truth.
However, what the affidavit does is provide context to each of these transactions. The why, the who and the when.
Without this context, VBS donations to a party is seen legitimate, despite the mechanism of transfer. However, now, with the affidavit we can't understand the context of the transaction.
What essentially was done is VBS had paid "hush money" to EFF via Skamega. Why? Because they wanted the EFF to stop publically highlighting JZ's loan from VBS bank.
In an attempt to hide the hush money, VBS had been instructed to falsify the contractual dates of the transactions to make it seem as if the transaction occured prior to the JZ loan scandal as to not draw a connection between money paid (donation) and the desired outcome (EFF no longer publically calling out JZs loan from VBS)
This is the change. Because financial records were altered, the prior evidence falsified dates could not link the payment to an outcome.
But now we can.

Simple straight forward all those who received the donation from VBS and in their back of the minds, knew that VBS is not a commercial bank but was for the community of Venda. They must repay the monies because poor and elderly people need desperately

2. Supposedly there was a bribe, the affidavit was made with a plea deal in mind and not from a reliable source.NPA will do favors for ANC BUT NEVER EFF. NPA could have long charged the eff but they have no evidence. An affidavit from a plea deal is not credible evidence.

A sad day in SA when a respectable Adv. Mpofu stands up using legal jargon to protect some seriously questionable behaviour from his senior party members. He can do as much fancy footwork as he wants on the matter, EFF accepting a "donation" in the name of a company held by Brian Shivambu (which Julius and Floyd both admitted they never received for any reason) is extremely suspect.Notice how Mpofu didn't answer the question as to why monies were paid into a privately held company. Money paid back, yes. When? Probably after scandal. As a fan of @SMWX, it will be interesting to see how or if Sizwe scrutinizes Dali's perfect legal rebuttle and very blatant avoidance.
