That bumper sticker was part of a PSA campaign from the seventies. I would be watching Saturday AM cartoons and their ads would come on during commercial breaks.
❤❤❤ #MerryChristmas brother! I totally love ❤️ your positive attitude brother! Such an awesome find! I would turn it into a camper bus 🚌 for the family 👪 & travel to a ZZ Top & Lynard Synard Concert brother!
These old historical relics represent the very best of how America used to be until the build quality went down under. I've always had a much stronger affinity towards the classic and vintage machines that once roamed the roads back when they were in their prime. Bringing the bus back to life was perhaps one of your best life decisions made yet thus far. Mad props for waking up the beast that spent far too long in silence and neglect.
i generally hate the "like they used to" attitude because it dismisses something much better and more impressive than just being built different, though i would agree they knew better how to make a vehicle that looks good every era has its share of trash produced, but it's easy to forget because everything we see from "back in the good ol' days" was lucky to have one or two out of the following three qualities: designed well built well well taken care of and survivorship bias has allowed us to forget the trash that was produced like the king midget

Hi I'm 81 years old and I rode one of these buses when I was in grade school. You could hear by the wine in the transmission. I lived in the hills of Pennsylvania. It was a great find for you. And I love how your family are willing to put their hands on this project. Have a blessed time restoring it.
What a heartwarming story. Nice to see this piece of history brought back to life. Big surprise how good condition it was despite being parked for many, many years and almost completely overgrown. Thanks a lot!!!

Man, I wasn't really prepared to commit to a Two and a half hour video tonight... But I couldn't stop watching. I loved the journey, both figuratively and literally. The little nuggets of history and the anticipation of the reunion at the end really have a way of investing the viewer. Yeah, I'll sub and see what else you got.
AWESOME job getting the old girl back on the road! I know it took over a year but I also know it was well worth it, especially to Mary! I'm sure it brought back a lot of memories for her, riding on the bus as a child with her Daddy driving. You did a good thing man!!!

What a wonderful journey that old bus has had. Sitting overgrown in the bush as she was, to find someone like you to bring her home to her people for a special reunion. This old guy had a few tears at the end.
I am a school bus for 35 years and what you are doing is so great. Thank you for rescuing her. She is so cute. They do not make them like that anymore. Thank you for this beautiful story. Bless you and your family.

Stretched a large truck tarp off the side for a porch. Had a stove. Icebox, sink , and table, and a set of bunk beds. I wish I still had that thing. Love the video!
This is definitely one of the best restoration projects I've ever seen, the whole work up to it was interesting but the reunion and story was very touching, and that by itself is worth my subscription, great job Sir.
This restoration video was incredibly AWESOME. What got me all watery eyes was how that older lady said her dad use to drive the bus and how she recreated the way she would sit right behind him. This is one of the most enjoyable videos that I have seen in quite some time. You are really dedicated to do the job the way it is supposed to be done, and you hit it right out of the ballpark . Congratulations and I might add, the coachwork was done by Superior Coachwork in Detroit Michigan after after the rolling chassis was finished. Originally, it was fitted with a cab, and Superior cut the back of the cab off. And they fabricated the bus bodywork to the cab. The rest, is history.
Thank your brother I love the video and Love all the pictures that was totally awesome To see everybody smiling faces when they got to see the bus again it was worth it

DUDE? For real. I’ve watched or listened to thousands of UA-cam videos over the years and this video is by far the best! Your editing was spot on. No blah blah blah or corny jokes just straight to the point. The Bus is to dam cool man. I would love to have one. So blessed. Beautiful family and beautiful story. Thanks. Your new subscriber.
Great adventure, well done and thank you! I'm impressed with the condition of the paint with all that foam !! 👍👍 Congratulations from France ! And may Jesus accompany you on the road !
God bless Mary. My parents also drove a school bus every Sunday to pick up children from the inner city of Minneapolis to take them to church. My mother was a Sunday school teacher and dad drove the bus and I was in the front seat every Sunday. Brings back so many memories. Thanks for this video.
From start to finish .... an Amazing Adventure! I love the Scripture message on the back door. I was born in 1948 but I think the ole bus is in way better shape than me. You did a great job getting it road worthy. I reckon I'll have to wait until I crossover before the Master ✝Mechanic gets me completely restored! 😉 Keep up the good work, my friend.
Well done, sir. I imagine bringing that bus back to Stafford Baptist for a reunion was full of emotion for everyone involved. Kudos to your lovely bride for supporting your efforts, as well as others that have helped. My other fave is Derek Bieri and Vice Grip Garage. He's been at it a while (over 400 vids) and has a lot of fun with the videos and the abandoned cars he finds a way to bring 'em home.
I really enjoyed watching your video. Two of my friends were watching and at first I thought I'd better find something else to do till this is over, but I couldn't tear myself away! Watched the entire video! I don't believe I've ever seen a man work on an engine and not once get frustrated and curse at it! Well done! Learned a few tjhings and enjoyed the entire journey. Thank you very much!
I would love to see you and your pictures go to that church if it is still around and show it to the elders and see if anyone remembers this one and give someone who probably needs a lift some great memories 😊 1:19:23
What an absolutely wonderful video. I loved every minute from the rat poo tea to your brother's secret message at the end. It was all so heartwarming, and I'm so glad you were able to share it! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to this special project! You're the man!!!

I absolutely love this bus. I've always wanted one with that front end. I have to say, im all about black wheels but you killed the look of the bus going with black.
I am absolutely amazed at how much you have been able to get done on that bus! I love it and hope it serves you and your family well for many years thru many adventures! Job well done sir! 👍🏼👏💐😎

God bless Mary. My parents also drove a school bus every Sunday to pick up children from the inner city of Minneapolis to take them to church. My mother was a Sunday school teacher and dad drove the bus and I was in the front seat every Sunday. Brings back so many memories. Thanks for this video.
Thank you! That is so great! This has been such a wonderful journey and experience. God Bless!
I'm usually not into restoration videos, but I really liked this one. You did an amazing job on the bus.
Thank You! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Wow what a great job you have done!!! Impressive!!!
Thank You!
Hey Thanks! I really appreciate that. It's been an Amazing Journey! I feel blessed to be the one who saved the bus and had this great adventure!
Hey Thanks! I really appreciate that! I Love Derek over at Vice Grip Garage!
That was absolutely amazing
You should be so proud of yourself.
You have a new fan in Ireland 🇮🇪
A fantastic job well done. 👏
Thank You! I really appreciate that!
Hey Thank You Very Much! I really appreciate that!
Hey Thanks! I really appreciate it! It's definitely been a amazing journey! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Bravo pour ta perceverence ... Superbe travail!!! Salutations de France

I would love to see you and your pictures go to that church if it is still around and show it to the elders and see if anyone remembers this one and give someone who probably needs a lift some great memories 😊 1:19:23
As long as the "C**t hair free zone" sticker is gone lol
What an absolutely wonderful video. I loved every minute from the rat poo tea to your brother's secret message at the end. It was all so heartwarming, and I'm so glad you were able to share it! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to this special project! You're the man!!!

I’m a 47 year old mom of 3 that found this completely fascinating! You’re a wiz!! Can’t believe you got this engine running. Well done.

I absolutely love this bus. I've always wanted one with that front end. I have to say, im all about black wheels but you killed the look of the bus going with black.
Hey Thanks! I'm really considering repainting the wheels back to the yellow.
I am absolutely amazed at how much you have been able to get done on that bus! I love it and hope it serves you and your family well for many years thru many adventures! Job well done sir! 👍🏼👏💐😎
