I make this almost every week, though I usually have it over brown rice..to save my waistline ;) Once every two months or so when I have to drive 30 mins to the local H-Mart to restock on staple ingredients, i'll grab myself some fresh thick noodles and treat myself to the myeon version. It's too damn good that way and I absolutely inhale it..but id be a good 40 lbs heavier if I ate that as often as I eat it over brown rice lol

Now when I go in I’ll look for this packet and if I can’t find it I’ll write it down and show them this clip😊 I’m determined to try this it looks fantastic.
Hmm - to my understanding, some Chinese-Koreans who lived in Korea localized a Chinese version of the dish. Not 100% sure (nor do I really care) - but I know that the dish tastes great!
Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodle) is a northern Chinese dish. A lot of Northern Chinese foods have similarities and influence in Korean Cooking. But Korean version definitely tastes slightly different. It is the same dish you are thinking of tho. Southern Chinese don’t know what Zhajiangmian is. Szechuan has their own version as well.
@@jhasjhis9 Chinese bean pastes are much different! I do like this dish, and it's great for bachelor cooking, use of leftovers. This is definitely one of those things that little bits of miscellaneous ingredients can just disappear into. Clear out your fridge and have a nice comforting dish! I like it with rice as shown at the end here. I think the Chinese version might be hot/savory/spicy, this is maybe sweet/savory.
Oil first then bean paste. If big difference in measurement then spray the measuring cup with cooking spray. Works for teaspoons and tablespoons too with sticky stuff like honey or peanut butter.

Keep on
I have asked on many cooking sites, if anyone knows how to home make black bean paste, as it is not available in most places. Still requesting a recipe.
You can buy on Amazon
Thank you, will try to find it.
Kry Kry aha really it's not the same as chinese one?? Because I tried with Chinese one and it was disgusting
@@ryandaddy1089 Chinese version and Korean version are different
Kry Kry you can buy black bean sauce in asda
My daughter age 7...loves to see this dish...never taste it before but like to watch! Fan from Singapore!!!
This looks absolutely delicious!
I want it! Thank you for your recipe and channel and awesomeness 😊🙏🏼🌸
Poor man's caviar! Lol
Haha - it is what it is :)
I really like that your recipes are so simple and healthy. That's what I'm always looking for. Anybody who likes this kind of thing could do worse than looking into some Indian sauces.
That actually looks yum 😋😍😍
Thanks for the 💓😄😄😄
I have never tasted korean food but looking at your mouth watering recipes the whole day ...i am just impatient now 😍
I make this almost every week, though I usually have it over brown rice..to save my waistline ;)
Once every two months or so when I have to drive 30 mins to the local H-Mart to restock on staple ingredients, i'll grab myself some fresh thick noodles and treat myself to the myeon version.
It's too damn good that way and I absolutely inhale it..but id be a good 40 lbs heavier if I ate that as often as I eat it over brown rice lol
I went to a Korean grocery Store to get the Original Paste. Thats so good. I used Napa Cabbage also amzing in taste and some finely diced crunchy Salad for topping. Better than curcumber and also watery fresh
I want make but I need the sauce and I try it to buy from amazon but it doesn't ship to morocco
kawtar aziz have you tried gmarket.com see if that works for you.
Nadia Natt no i have not thanks a lot i will see if it works 😊😊😊

I've tried making this twice before and failed (please remember to add sugar...) but because of your video I finally made jajangmyeon that I'm pretty proud of. Thank you so much!
Can you recommend the best brand to get if you live in the USA and or amazon. I can never find the sauce for this dish. ☹️
Hi Chantee - what a pretty name ;) Looked it up for you. Here is one from Chung Jung Won - which is a big food producer in Korea: amzn.to/2hsDVgh.
Just made them following your tips! So yummy!!! Thank you!
My grandma just calls it black sauce

2:32 So in essence we turned Caca into a poor mans caviar. Lol

I'm from Philippines and I really wanted to try some korean cuisines. I dont know where to buy the ingredients and im only 15 so I will ask some elders to cook it for me 😂😊
Lol tell how was it, going to try it myself
Maybe korean convenience stores have the black bean paste, but other ingredients can easily be found in palengke or grocery stores. I hope there are some korean convenience stores near you, or you might want to try malls
@@korezine3854 I have been to a lot of places today still didn't get it only thing I saw was black bean souse with garlic. Where am from we don't have any Korean food stores only Chinese, I also check the Chinese they have Korean products but no black been past. Seems as if I of to make it from scratch.

Sunny-side up
Fried mandu
It always comes with picked radish
I’ve always wanted to try it but then I realized I ate it growing up.
My grandma’s recipe was the best!
🍜🍝 OMG.... I wanna halal jajangmyeon noodle 😍😍😍

"It really looks like a pile of kaka" 😂😂😂😂 thanks for the recipe though I'm so keen to try 💕
Thank you!! I saw some videos on how to make black bean noodles, but your video is the shortest and easiest to follow. I hope I don't have trouble hunting down the wheat noodles and black bean sauce in my korean market
I would like to know if the paste Halal?
Izzy Razie it’s halal no animal product only fermented soybeans and wheat flour
Delish- super simple and easy steps. Thank u❤❤
now I wanna eat this, it’s 1:30am 🤣😭 lmao

Lost me when you added the sugar 😭 I really wanted to try jajangmyeon. Because it looks so delicious and appetizing. But it seems like it’s gonna be too sweet for my liking. Someone please describe the taste, how does it taste? Is it too sweet?
Then don't add the sugar if u don't like sweet flavors
NISHAT lala adding sugar doesnt automatically make foods sweet.. most cookies have a lot of salt in em but you dont taste that..
Hello I am glad to discovered you yesterday ! Your video are really good and easy to understand (I am french) and you have a really interesting and funny personnality in front or the cam, please continue to make video ! They are really cool! :)
All I know is that Kookie likes this 😊
I keep seeing this dish in Korean shows, and I'm really curious to try it. They always eat so well, it makes me hungry just watching them, LOL! Thanks for this recipe, will look for jajang in our grocery's imported section.

Sounds amazing 🤩.. No korean restaurant here in Morocco, so I made kimbap before and it was very good, the next dish will be absolutely jajangmyeon.. Thank you 🙏
I bet my life that half of y’all are cuz of hobi
It looks so tasty. I've been searching the name of this dish for so long. You have a new suscriber now!!!
“It really looks like a pile of cAcA” omg😂
Thank you! I went into my Korean market here in California looking for an instant version I had seen someone on UA-cam eat. I couldn’t find it and I asked for it. They weren’t sure what I was talking about. Very nice people and helpful with everything else I bought so it was a total language barrier. Now when I go in I’ll look for this packet and if I can’t find it I’ll write it down and show them this clip😊 I’m determined to try this it looks fantastic.
@@AltaicPride01 thank you 😊

Haha - gotta keep it real 💩🙄
Great. It’s not even 7 am and I’m starving. This is my favorite channel but it’s dangerous. 😍
With all respect. Isn't that from China?

I've tried it and I really like it. Thank you for sharing this recipe.. more video please ☺️
Looks so yummy!!! Aaaahh. Why am I watching this just before bedtime?
I found this channel today and I’m obsessed! Definitely want to try all these amazing dishes. You make it look so good🤩🤩🤩

Yes, it was a good idea - everybody loves 짜장면. Keep passing the suggestions ;) ⚡️
Oil first then bean paste. If big difference in measurement then spray the measuring cup with cooking spray. Works for teaspoons and tablespoons too with sticky stuff like honey or peanut butter.
