I HATE when touchpads are hard to see, but the inclusion of the LEDs is awesome. So it can hide when I'm not using it but easily to find.
It's not even about being hard to "see" it's about how easy it is to FEEL without looking down.
It's actually one of the best looking thin and light laptop, and provides decently enough power for work. The invisible track pad is cool thou!

Tried the trackpad on this model in person. The trackpad clicking is inferior compared to standard trackpad. Its like you tracking to click on a block of surface which does not really provide you the standard trackpad clicking feeling.
Tried it on real person and it is very bad, for the clicking experience.
Trust me, from experience it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. I had an old laptop that the trackpad was the same texture as the case and there was no noticeable edge. So I would go off the end of the trackpad constantly, it was annoying. I just started using a mouse.

Agreed. My trackpad has a "continue moving cursor" mode when I'm at the very edge. Without a sensation of the border, it's harder to reliably use.
100% LG makes some of the best, quality electronics available on the market, today and in the past. LG holds a place in my tech heart because they have immense attention to detail and user experience, something most companies don't care about. My monitor is an LG Flatron from 2008. I miss my LG Optimus G Pro every single day...that phone was the best smartphone ever...period. Always happy to see LG love come from my favorite content creators ❤

Well after Dell has done it, probably thin and lights from other brands will also be using this kind of lower deck with invisible track a lot in the future.

Haptic trackpads aren’t too bad, but it depends on the manufacturer. Apple has been nailing it since the 2015 mbp, the Surface Studio laptop’s is excellent, but the Thinkpad Z16’s could be better. If Dell makes a haptic trackpad for their giant trackpads for their XPS17 it would be excellent, but also solve their garbage trackpad QC on the model

LG is one of my favorites when it comes to electronics. 3 of my monitors are LG and my 2 tvs are also LG.
My Mom and I bought our Gram in 2019 and it is still functioning with zero problems. My Mom loves that it's light weight and it runs fine. I actually edited my 1st 2 youtube videos on it. If you are looking for something to use day to day for work and surfing the internet that will last you a long time. Look no further imho.
Didn't even talk about anything regarding the laptop. How are the speakers? How much keyboard travel? How much keyboard flex? How about more info about the trackpad? Is the hinge good?? Like come on...
Talking about LG. i still have my Old LG Flatscreen LCD which is now about 10 years old and it still works without any issues. Really good quality even on cheap or midrange stuff.
Knowing about the laptop isn't nearly as great as how wholesomely excited Austin is about it. 🥰

I love how this looks, but all the mixed reviews have made me uneasy about going through with the purchase. It’s currently greatly discounted and pulled the trigger. I really hope I’m one of the few who really enjoys it by not minding the wobbly screen hinge, somewhat plastic feel, and most importantly think the haptic touchpad is good enough
Definitely agree, LG make great products. My TV is an LG, so was my last TV. My parents have also been buying LG for ages. Just wish they would come out with a gaming laptop.

I'm late to this, but YES the KEYBOARD. I'm lookin' for a good one. To compare, my Legion 5 Pro 16 has the best keyboard so far. It has seriously reduced my typing time & less mistakes. I'm NOT a gamer, but I got a gaming laptop for the keyboard, display, and yes, the RBG. Corneal problems can leave White LED backlights difficult. COMPUTER COMPANIES, offer RGB on a few other models, even single zone. It Will Sell, because although I love the look, I want to see it more clearly. Thanks.

Interesting that you mention monitors, given that I still have my old lg flatron w1942s. Recently it developed a sort of mild ghostline at the top that comes and goestimes goes, but hey, its well over a decade old and still goign strong

I only hope they have fixed the thermals. I owned a LG Gram 14Z980 with a 8th gen i5 and man, it throttled as hell when the temperature rose a bit.... Even without the bottom lid it would throttle because the fan and the thermal componentes were so fuc**** thin they overheated before transmitting all the heat to the exterior...
This is the only reason I won't buy it...

Im actually planning on switching from macbook to lg gram. My mid 2015 macbook pro died on me with kernal panics after updateing it. I do love the macbooks but windows gives you that freedom on what ever you want to do unlike apple. So my next choice of laptops will def be this LG gram!

i honestly wish that companies would make gaming laptops like this, and in general make the better looking gaming laptops more affordable. I personally dislike using my laptop so much because its just not pleasant to look at
which laptop you have? for gaming laptop that looks nice, i only know razer blade, other than that, almost all the others look ugly

Windows ruins whatever device it's on. Mandatory updates that kill functionality and cause errors. Also, telemetry that spies on everything you do.

I always use mouse to do everything, I prefer a best mouse with high price than touchpad Touchpad for emergency only.

16" is more amazing. zenbook, vivobook, yoga, none get this weight. only acer swit edge. But you have to make a choice ;)

I will never buy another LG product after the terrible quality of a 45 4K LG tv my parents bought brand new which had the backlight die after only 7 months with no option for repair since the parts had been discontinued, every since I have only purchased Sony displays which have never let me down and lasted me 7 years so far with not a single issue

It makes literally 0 sense to me and everytime I ask this question no one has a valid or appropriate answer. Let's face it LG is Business/personal use and Gaming 🤷 let's go LG release the gaming laptops series Already. Acer Predator Asus ROG and Lenovo Legion are dominating the gaming laptops right now !
