    This is the first video of Cassey's that made me realize how INSANE SHE IS!! She did all these moves flawlessly with a smile on her face and talking the whole way. What a queen!

    I could barely do half of these moves and just cannot keep my legs straight because I'm stiff as a rake, but damn, I was proud when I managed to do one single leg sit up on each side. I think I'm gonna do this video again at the end of the beginners' calendar to see how far I've come. I don't expect to be able to do the whole thing, but seeing progress will be nice.

    I am forever grateful for Cassey and this channel. I've been following this channel for around three years now and throughout those three years I have had many confidence knocks but somehow Cassey always encourages me to work harder and to shape myself into the person I want to be. I may not be there yet but I am so much more confident in myself. Throughout my life I have never been able to say anything positive about my body but now I can say that I am starting to really like my body and really like the person I am. So thank you, thank you for your workouts, your tips, your personality and just for being the most motivating and encouraging person I have ever crossed on UA-cam ❤️

      @@SoniaRobinson I felt the same when I started a month ago but perseverance will help. it may take you weeks or months. I just keep going if though maybe sometimes I can't straighten my leg completely or get up as quick and straight as Cassey in some of the moves in this video but you've got this. stay motivated even if you cannot do some of the exercises the main thing your body is moving so eventually you will be able to do it. sorry I think I waffled a bit too much

I also have a hard time straightening my legs up, but I reckon is better to try, thinking some day i will be able to achieve it, than just leaving it out all together, I have confidence the day will come if I stick with it, you should too, we are all suffering this together, cheer up, you can do it one baby step at a time like me.

    This is the greatest way to do this. I'm terrible at committing to a work out if I'm focusing on the movements or the workout. The narration during it, takes the focus off of the move and, for me, means it's a lot easier to get through the whole workout. If there's something else that has my attention, I stop focusing on the burning and the pain of doing these moves (because definitely not as fit as Cassey!) and just do them!

    What if we can't get rid of the negative people. Like, for example my hobby is swimming and I love swimming but there is a negative girl in swimming training who keeps on trying to bring me down. What should I do?

      I suggest reading or listening to the subtle art of not giving a fxxk by Mark Manson. While I LOVE Cassey and her positivity, Mark gives a very different perspective on how we react to the world's negativity. He addresses something like this in one of the chapters. There are a lot of factors in the world we can't control, but don't feel like a victim. We, ourselves, are responsible for our own feelings and how we react to the world. Take control and simply don't give a fxxk about the negativity. That is not an easy thing to do but that is just a part of life. It isn't supposed to be easy. Anyway, highly recommend reading the book.
      Also... I'm going to assume you are in high school? Correct me if I'm wrong. Coming from someone who just graduated from college... Man! I can't believe I even gave a fxxk about any of the stuff I was worried about in HS.

    • @xxNinjaKittyxx
      @xxNinjaKittyxx 7 років тому +6

      Ask her to stop being so negative out loud because it just brings other people down? She can't fix herself if no one tells her it's a bad habit. But that might just be me preferring honesty rather than seemingly sparing someone's feelings. Try, "You keep being so negative and I think it's holding you back. It's definitely not good for the people around you." ??

      I had a girl like that on my high school swim team. She would nitpick the little things I did and always tell me that I was doing something wrong. The best thing to do is to not let that girl's words get to you and focus on doing what you love. I have to say one of the major things I miss about being on the swim team wasn't the people but the sport itself. I didn't have many friends on my team and none of my family members came to watch my relays because they worked, so I stopped putting my heart into it and only focused on when it would be over even though swimming is something I have always been passionate about. Now it's hard for me to find time to go to the pool and I really regret not taking advantage of the program and getting to swim when I had the chance.
      To sum it up just focus on doing what you love(which is swimming) and be nice to that girl. Let her be a jerk because everyone else will see it and it will only make her look worse.

    I don't know where I would be without you, Cassey! You are so inspiring. I learned so much from you. Thanks to you I know that I have to work on me every day to be a better and stronger person and I should never stop. I lost about 30 pounds in 3 years. I am so much stronger now. I learned that no body is perfect (what is even perfect? how do you define perfect?) and that every body is different. You give such good advice and I don't mean only the fitness tips. I love your positivity and honesty. Thank you for motivating me every day! Have a nice day! Love you 💞

    btw. this was so hard for me.. my neck don´t usually hurt during doing abs, but twisted crunch, boat crunch and single leg situp were killers... do you have some tips? i was focusing on my back (to dont lift them up ) and ofcourse dont lift myself by neck but by my abs ..but it still hurt af :/

      (Lenka Stieglerová) Relax your neck. Don't focus on it so much, just let it do what it's doing. Let it rest on your shoulders, and let it free. Just do the workout without focusing on the neck.

    Dear Cassy,
    Hey! I'm a fellow popster and I just wanted to thank you. You have been such a motivation to me, I can't explain how much that means! You're such a beautiful, positive, kind, and lovable person, I don't even know how people can hate on a person like that. I used to be very unhealthy, skinny, and very unhappy. Your workouts made me much more than skin and bones, they made me who I am. You have such good advice, and I love how you talk through each of your videos. (If you hadn't I probably would've passed out by now) You are one of my greatest role models. Ily so much, never change! 😘

    Hi guys!! I am doing the August calendar. This is my first time following her calendar, and I am curious if there is any results with this?? I use to workout to just random videos, mostly strength with weights. I was getting really bored with working out and I wanted to try something new. I am eating healthier along with working out strictly to her calendar. Please, let me know if you have seen results with this!! If you would like, I can update you on how things go for me.

    • @TheRandomGirl65
      @TheRandomGirl65 7 років тому +21

      1 full week update: I was sore everyday the first week. I am definitely feeling like I am getting stronger, I see definition/more toning in my arms and legs - I believe. The abdomen and hips are a tricky spot for me; therefore, no visible changes yet.

    • @TheRandomGirl65
      @TheRandomGirl65 7 років тому +25

      Week 2: Feeling a lot stronger and able to do the moves better and for longer; however, some are still out of my reach, strength, and flexibility. I see definition in my legs - they're toning out with more muscle - haven't slimed down much if any. Arm looks toned, but stomach still has no abs. Stomach is feeling a lot flatter. My scale says I weigh a pound more than last week.

      Week 3: I know I'm a tad early; however, I am too excited not to share!! I am seeing definition in my quads and I love it! Arms are toned and stomach is slimmer. I feel like I have lost a little fat around my waist when trying my usual shorts on. I measured my thighs AAAANNNDDD I LOST A HALF AN INCH!!!! My one shorts that were previously snug fit again!!! Have yet to weigh myself but will tell you if I lost or gained pounds since last week!

    • @TheRandomGirl65
      @TheRandomGirl65 7 років тому +17

      Week 3 - continued: hey guys! So, to inform you guys, I did not weigh myself at the beginning of this journey; therefore, I don't know exactly how much I lost/gained. I weighed 121 last week, and today I weigh 120 - so a pound down!! Now, keep in mind, I do make sure I burn more calories than I consume; however, I still eat things I enjoy! I don't want to deprive myself because food does make me happy. Last night I went to Red
      Robin and earlier this week I had pizza with the family for a solar eclipse watching party. I would most likely see more results if I ate a strict healthy diet. However, I feel great and strong. I feel more confident in my clothes and I'm happy - what more can I ask for.

I'm on the Beginner's Calendar and I was getting frustrated that I couldn't sit up all the way for some of these moves and I had to modify them for myself. But the one nice thing I will say to myself is that I tried and gave it my all and didn't quit. That's how I will get stronger. 💪

    Hey Cassey, I just wanna say thank you for this video. Sure it was 5 years ago but it really helps me. Even though I already know all these things, sometimes I need to hear it from someone else other than myself for it to solidify within me. It's hard struggling with imposter syndrome and chasing after what I want. There's a lot of unlearning and untangling I have to do. The funny thing is that it's so easy for me to give compliments to people but hard to do that for myself. But that's my own journey to self-love. Thanks again for the video!

      Yes, you can control your breast size if your breasts are the result of weight gain. You would have to lose fat and you can't really target fat loss in certain areas. Breasts are VERY fatty, so you would need to exercise (cardio, pilates, strength training) AND a healthy diet to maintain or gradually reduce your caloric intake.
