I ate oatmeal for most of 50 years every morning because it was said to be healthy. Should have stuck to the bacon and eggs like my grandparents who lived in good health into their 90s.
True. I was given porridge every morning as a kid and got fat which screwed me up at school and affected my mental health. As an adult I rarely ate oatmeal at some point giving it up completely, preferring eggs, bacon and tomatoes, coffee, dark chocolate. Last year I've learned the good reason behind this thanks to Dr. G.
Stick to eggs. We now know that fats and even a bit cholesterol are necessary but there are far better sources , and eating processed meat every day is definitely not a good idea. Don’t trust anyone who tells you that bacon is healthy.

For most people, lectins in a typical diet are not harmful, especially when foods are properly prepared (e.g., cooking beans thoroughly). A diet rich in whole, unprocessed foods, including those containing lectins like legumes and whole grains, offers many health benefits. Concerns about lectins are more relevant for those following specific diets or who have particular sensitivities, but for the general population, they are not considered unhealthy.

It's important that we are aware of the potential risks associated with consuming too much Omega-3 fatty acids. While Omega-3 fatty acids have many health benefits, excessive intake can lead to side effects such as blood clotting issues, increased susceptibility to infections, potential elevation in LDL cholesterol levels, and in some cases, an increased risk of heart attack, particularly if Omega-3 is consumed in large amounts without a balance of Omega-6 fatty acids. Here are some foods that are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids: Fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, tuna, herring, and sardines are excellent sources. Flaxseeds and chia seeds, walnuts, hemp seeds, and algae or seaweed also contain high amounts of Omega-3. Certain plant oils, like flaxseed oil and canola oil, are also rich in these fatty acids. However, it's important to remember that a balanced diet and appropriate dosage are crucial to reap the benefits of Omega-3 and avoid potential side effects. Thank you for this informative video and the reminder that even with healthy substances, overdosing can be problematic.
