One of my favorite fruits I have in season is pomegranate seeds. I throw a hand full of them in my goat yogurt along with some walnuts, hemp and ground flaxseed. Makes a great breakfast. There is one fruit that you can definitely have whenever you can afford to and that is avocados. If you put them on a salad with a little salt, pepper, some Tabasco sauce, olive oil, and a dash of vinegar. Makes a great meal. I love the many different options there is to eat to help strengthen my gut buddies who in turn takes care of me.

I feel better I must say. Thanks. Always a a lil overweight girl, always keeping my weight down, I was diagnosed with my thyroid out of wack. Radiated it and for ten years following that. They contain lectins so you might activate your immune system causing problems for you. Then again you might be lucky. It can be very hard to determine what foods you do react to. So I would personally just have the blanched almonds.

    • @hugoapresname
      @hugoapresname 5 місяців тому +3

Unfortunately for me if the specific lectins harm me, I mostly don’t get a strong feeling like pain from it. That makes us think that we are doing O.K. And so we consume them (Almonds) whole. Because why not, right? We don’t want to miss any vitamins, right? So we should eat eeeeverything whole, right????? 😅
But if the peel causes inflammation that’s a rather long term effect over several days. For me such things make me more tired, slightly feeling nervous or irritated. I can also see how my brother and sister still feed their kids lectin rich foods for lunch because they don’t believe me and some hours later at dinner the kids throw a tantrum, want to play with their food and have overly aggressive mood swings.
And that’s not because they have bad behaviour. It’s because their whole body is inflamed and in slight pain which can not be pinpointed !!!

If you are interested in my experiences I soak the walnuts for one day in room temperature tap water.
Then I eat some, but the rest has to be dried quickly! So I spread them out on my warm oven and turn them.
Otherwise if they stay damp/moist too long they will go bad because of mold or bacteria. 😊
For storage, leave them untreated, the brown tannins in their skin protects them from going bad. Only prepare maybe two servings to be consumed quickly.
That may not be the perfect way. But maybe you can take something away from it @desislava 😊

I soak them overnight, but then I boil them , boiling is important specifically if you buy them shelled , pls note that once they’re shelled, they start to go rancid vey quickly (in about 6 months) , bacteria and molds start to grow and aflatoxin starts to take place .. you need to boil them and throw away the boiling water do not drink it , it’s full of toxins and unfortunately vitamins too , but if you buy your walnuts in shell fresh , new crop in November or December, and you shell them yourself, then it’s clean and you can eat them safely anyway you want

I scarf down a handful of shelled walnuts daily with breakfast. I rarely eat pistachio's because they are a bit expensive.

I don’t know where you live but I get all my nuts at Walmart - the Walmart brand. Their pistachios and macadamias are the cheapest I could find. And taste good too.

It's logical when you think about it : walnuts looks like brains !

And often you can substitute brains for walnuts (small rodent brains are best)

All dry spices, curry, dried nuts very often are full of Fungus, Candida.
I like my spices fresh - nothing taste better than fresh Black Pepper - like a little dark green grapes, best & fresh Turmeric root, fresh is best including Spices.
Moldy Walnuts full of Candida & Fungus are very good for your brain & liver, very often they contain delicious Aflatoxin & Criptococus Neoformas crossing blood brain barrier keeping your brain young forever 😂😂

I bought 5 lb of American black walnuts, instead of the more common European walnuts
When I opened the package I thought it had been spoiled or polluted with plastic vapors.
But that was the natural odor of the American black walnuts
I quickly acquire the liking for the American black walnut and now easily switch between the black and the European walnuts
    My question is
    Is there any nutrition difference?
My guess is yes, do the quite different odor and taste which means the chemistry must be different
    Anybody know?

Fresh is best starting with fresh Walnuts , fresh Black Pepper, fresh Turmeric, all fresh spices are available....
