During February 2022, I challenged 3D artists with the Infinite Journeys 3D challenge, where I provided artists with a simple animation of a moving "vehicle" and they built out their own customs scenes. Of the 2,448 entires, the top 100 were chosen for this montage, and 5 of them walked away with insane prizes from Maxon, Rokoko, Camp Mograph, Wacom, Looking Glass Factory, and mograph.com.

All of today's NFT's combined have nothing on these renders. This to me is real modern day art.
This art defines their work on how NFTs really ruin their reputation is so ridiculous
Meh, depends on what area you see nfts. Maybe 5% are really good, which is the art nfts part made by professional individuals and artists. Not what you see on opensea(garbage dump), mostly found on foundation and super rare.
So relatable. I hate NFTs who don't have artistry and they are just for money. Thankfully, people in art industry including me are not blinded by money and just keep exploring and helping other people to expand their art works. Art and programming is like a universe

3:32 it was absolute genius to put these two next to each other
Right lol
And 6:11
I never noticed, that’s so cool
😃😃
Great curation, I agree
7:51 I had to rewatch to notice that this guy was travelling back in time! The details with the clock and the sand timer are so cool, and his mysterious smile.
Oh wow! Thanks for pointing that out.
Did miss that, in my first watch, but you are totally right! Cool concept!
I swear I robbed that dude is rdr2
It also has some kind of old timey flux capasitor in the seat
@@lee-oe7rr rdr2 meets back to the future.
3:47 I gotta see this one as either a show or a movie. It’s such an amazing shot of someone in the apocalypse who’s just done but still attempting to live
there thousand of movies already whats new
man this feels like cyberpunk edgerunners
6:31 the way he uses the horse in the middle ground to trick you into looking at the background as he changed lens focus from the foreground, chefs kiss. Great visual manipulation
Its pretty cool
Woah
Its good to see medieval fans getting a bone once in a while
True artistry.
3:11 did the same thing!
4:26 has got to be one of my favorites, just the way it makes the world look so huge and expansive, I just wanna make now a whole dnd campaign in it! its so magical!
Same
That one is my favorite too, it looks like the anime in my head lol
Made in abyss
It looks Avatar's Pandora

Why is no one talking about 3:52? That one is so beautiful IMO, the character designs are great there.
it reminds me of the dragon prince!
@@creativeandoriginalhandle that and a little bit of Avatar the last airbender. maybe the face.

2:16 is really captivating to me. I kept replayed it again and again
I love how they describe such a descriptive story in 5 seconds.
One of my favourites is at 2:56, and I'm guessing it is a failed space mission in which the last survivor is drinking away his pain while the spacecraft burns up as it re-enters the atmosphere of a dead planet, next to their dead buddy who'd died long before.
Yeah it's really creative.
one my favourite is 3:46 with the lone survivor on the train killing the crawler without lookin
@@gorkemaykut5230 that one is so cool 😩🙌 would love to play a game with that as the ending scene
one that caught my eye pretty good is at 5:50. would love to put that to moving wallpaper to my pc´s own screen to make my setup glow up alittle
I feel like 4:01 is underrated, i love how it so clearly tells a story of an overthrown king and queen!
3:35 woah i really love the transition. What a story.
Whoaaaa I didn't catch that on first watch. Fantastic.
@@jaredsilvers2782 what's the story?
@@a.b.h.i.j.i.t.h there's an asteroid coming.
@@a.b.h.i.j.i.t.h one has the earths perspective of an asteroid falling and the other has an astronauts perspective
That wasnt a transition, thats 2 different renders, its just coincidence
6:26 has to be my fav of all time. Showing the how cool the character is with two swords and a cool mask, two swat team officers about to apprehend him, lights coming of his eyes showing how imitated/dangerous he is. Its like a cool movie thats about to happen.
It's actually nikto from cod mw 2019
I didn’t even see that his eyes were closed the first time I saw it, which made it better. I thought he was looking at the window, the guards ready to strike him from behind, then his eyes open, showing he was ready.
The gunmen are shaking too. Clearly afraid.
2:48 that Machinrium style art is fantastic. Sadly that game has only one version. The company should make another part of that adventure game.
6:31 was the best. Completely out of the box thinking. Great render. Great story telling.
The way the artist pulls the viewer's focus just kinda amazed me. I watched it back like 5 times because it was just so good.
My fav
100% agree
Truly.
How they used the running horse as a way to draw attention and move the lens focus from the cart of dead knights to the end of a massive battle was amazing
3:46 my fave part… i can feel the emotion the character feels just by his posture and the dejected gun handling, and the whole dystopian setting is so evident and alive ugh i am in LOVE
Makes me wonder how he got there and how it all happened.
Same!!
Personally my favourite is 00:31 because I love how it just portrays space travel in the future as something that looks as easy as getting onto a plane
The book ideas flashing through my head right now are insane.
2:22 sci fi bug war
3:01 war of the worlds like sci fi
3:18 Dieselpunk robot western
3:48 futureistic zombies

My biggest respect and admiration for your and the other contestants work! It was fascinating to watch
Amazing work👏👏👏
very good one. I especially like how much detail you can still read on the background city despite it being out of focus.
6:26 that one gave me chills, jeez. amazing work
And the huge city behind it is amazing
The glow up tho bro
One of the coolest imo

The Earthworm Jim at 1:45 was such an unexpected and awesome throwback.

3:45 I like this one. It's very grimy, dark, dirty and it feels like it can make a very epic game cutscene.
Post credit scene*
@@luciamagbujos4697 Yeah that works too. When I mentioned game cutscene, I mean if they were to extend the animation.

2:51 was my favorite I loved the panda and the mechanical bird
3:47 this really capture the spirit of infinity journey: Tired, used to it, bored, but still go on with the journey
5:11 I love this render from Zhenhai Zhang. The scene, the colors, the vibe - Everything is perfect.
The colour tone differentiate itself from others
yes i thought that too
The lighting really makes it super dynamic. Amazing work
It made me think of the current situation in Hong Kong. The vibe is overwhelming.
@@martinkubicek5968 i think it's based on the hong kong protests, considering zhenhai zhang sounds like a chinese name. really a hellhole over there. pray for all hong kongers
3:56 the shadow of the spaceship on the planet is just an amazing touch
Yeah and the way the cities with lights on
I love this scene
You would also like 2:56 his spaceship broke while descending and his friend died. Sad story but could be from the same universe
4:48 really hit the spot for me, I just love the way how there’s a beautiful background among a electro artificial world.
So many deserved shout outs, like the one where the perspective was flipped and we were looking at a glass bottom floor or the phone pictures one for subverting our expectations, as well as every ghiblicore one, but 8:30 hit me like a sledgehammer. As a big ffxiv fan, knowing all the context behind this shot left me speechless. Bravo.
5:11 is my absolute favourite. I love how much of a contrast it provides. From the stream of people going backwards (also implying that the main character is moving forward) to the fact that she is having her own "Infinite Journeys" through the books she had around her. Sometimes you just need to be alone in a corner somewhere with a good book to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle of life.
This one is my favorite too, the glowing orange light is so beautiful idk how they came up with that, it reminds me of games like inside and little nightmares somewhat. Most of all though it feels really gloomy and mysterious, like theres something strange going on
honestly when I saw it I thought about the people outside's journeys, and how she experiences just a fragment of them as they walk past her
I felt like being inside the multiverse!💯💯💯
same fam
You just take my word out of my mind......
Exactly
Some of these are from games actually
And since litelary everything is a possibility in multiverse, whatever you imagine, it might have happen.
E.g. Imagine yourself eating icecream right now. In this universe you are not eating icecream but in 1 multiverse you are! And nothing else changed, just you with the icecream!
Beautiful is it not? I can see the future of robotic mankind that have already happened! I wish i was in that multiverse

How can do that what app they use??
instead of listing my favs based on visual appeal I’m going to mention the ones that gripped me emotionally:
2:01 the human is so expressive! Like the joy in the fist pump and the twinkle in the eye. The movement felt so energetic yet so subtle. Made me happy for them when though I had no idea wtf was going on
3:47 their posture and the simplicity of not lifting their head almost had me in tears. That is a level of exhaustion and emptiness that I have felt in my bones
4:57 ngl, this one only caught my eye after rewatching to make this list. Just the “Go Back” instead of the typical “cancel” got me. Of course the implication of deleting memories is sad, but the fact that keeping them wouldn’t be just “saving the good times” but escaping the pain of now
5:02 the face of pure terror. Like, even in death they couldn’t find peace
6:27 looks incredible I can almost imagine the fight scene that would inevitably happen a couple of seconds later
Oh no, there's a third character behind the camera, maybe the leader of these two armed ones.
He's being looking for the red eyes guy.
This one is not interested, but he will.
After the little conversation, yes, there will be a fight.
He will escape...again.
🤨
0:41 that just gives me good vibes
3:45 this one it’s also epic
This one actually won 5th place!!!
Was that nitko from call of duty?
3:52

Low-key that one should be a game like genshin impact

The animation style is very unique, its gotta be a movie someday

That transition between the girl seeing the comet about to hit the world and then the guys is space watching it happen is amazing
3:46 is my favorite... the body position shows a tired man who is on the brink of giving up... So much storytelling in just 5 seconds. Amazing.
it’s my favorite too
I’m in love with that one it feels like a scene straight out of a movie
Someone has to include this scene in some zombie movie/series
The robot arm, the background of a city in ruins, the state of the train with its broken windows and rusty walls, the floor covered in bodies. So much without a single word

Great work everyone!
Wow thanks for the effort to type it all out!
nice bro thx
What an absolute legend!
No one is talking about 0:00-9:11 though. Love the rendering and vibes.
For real though, each of these is amazing!
fr that 9 minutes is worth sitting in my memory for a while, that was the most wonderful 9 minutes I have experienced for a while
LOL
yeah all of these are great❤️
No one is talking about 9:11 though
@@gerraldyovindi7980 ikr the detail in the explosion was just stunning
I love how every single render is its own unique world, that the artist created from ideas alone.
the worlds we will never see other than the few seconds we were provided.
Thanks to all of those who spent more time into their creations. You left my mind wanting more.
So honored to see mine at 8:11 up alongside these other incredible artists. Thanks to this community for making it happen!
This one was awesome man, makes you feel at ease while evoking some kind of childish joy. Great work!
@@justinliu5465 thanks man, you made my day
Definitely one of the best, nice job
.
A sneaky warhammer reference in there i see!
1:07 this one hits hard...the subtle tears streaming down his face really show what war does to someone
The furry shit lost me instantly.
That one is my favourite
@@alZiiHardstylez what?
@Kurt Angle In A Tiny Cowboy Hat It's degenerate and weird.
@@alZiiHardstylez true
Absolutely amazing, I loved every single design of these artists, some blew my mind more than others but every single one was fantastic
Point Lobo has done an amazing job on the music.
It sparks the creativity i need every time I’m designing.
Thank you for your amazing art.
7:26 is my favourite. The way the background moves so well, he's not just driving front left to right you see the wall close, far, close as he rounds the bend. Gear indicator detail on the dash, beautiful shake on the cabin, texture detail is amazing, even on the seat.
Bravo "Robert", man, bravo!
fully agree with u
2:16 is just insane, the concept of this entire scene is crazy.
Agreed. It says so much in so little time. Now that's storytelling!
My opinion. Should've been #1
Thanks dude, took a lot of time afford:)
Wow thanks for pointing out, that was holly shit, so much going on, such a storytelling in 4 second. Good job to the artist
You might like the movie Snowpiercer
So beautiful. Love all of it...the vibe, everything. Was surprised to see 'ol EWJ around 1:46 - lovely.
These are really cool. It's like you're on a trip to a hundred worlds all at once.
6:53 There's mine! I'm thrilled that I'm in the top 100 montage, but wow, all of them were absolutely incredible. Thanks for hosting this Clint. Yours turned out amazing as well!
Congrats for top 100
@@SmitherShrek :D thx!
i really love what you’ve done, very aesthetically appealing.
It's gorgeous too, such a cool world that you created. Honestly one of the ones I would love to see more of.
Yours made me feel something - it was creepy but also so amazing to look at
3:46 Has to be my favorite, I can easily imagine this being a for real cutscene into a prologue or epilogue at the beginning or end of a mission in some post-apocalyptic game. For real amazing work.
A techno-biological virus
@Nishchal Rajawat ??? Huh 💀
same that one is amazing and so well directed
8:33 omg Emet Selch!! Amaurot! The garlean airships and the ffxiv logo on the flags! Love love love! Did not expect to see this here and so beautifully animated!!!!
Just like with the “Alternate Realities” 3D Render Challenge, the music is amazing. And again, it’s like a great multiverse odyssey, only this time you’re in a vehicle.
These 3D render challenges also remind me a lot of Netflix’s “Love, Death and Robots” where each episode is its own unique story with a completely different team behind the production. Doesn’t anyone else feel the same way? Heck, there were a couple LD&R inspired entries in the list of every entry for this challenge and the Moving Meditations one.
0:46 is insane. I love everything in it
0:50 there's monster
I know right!
Pettey from adventure time? I think...
Yugo risfriwan 07:42 this is absolutely insaneee... The details ohhh myyy godddd.
And also each and every character and surrounding imagination is just sooooo fabulous. 🙏👏👏👏👏 salute to all the artists
It gave off amazing medieval vibes and I love it
6:17 A modern city with Khmer Apsara culture I love it .
Khmer as in the Khmer empire right?
One of my fav videos on YT. And the music is right on top. Thx to all the artists.
3:46 that was so subtle but held so much emotion. Kudos to all the animators who worked in these. You're all awesome ^^
Definitely my favorite one it was so cool :>
What’s it referencing ?
I feel like this was a follow up to another one lemme find it here
Found it
I think 8:26 was a kind of prequel to 3:46
Idk tho
@@Mast3rKK I think not because their not the same artists. But idk really too.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT! This is years worth of inspiration. The best UA-cam video I’ve seen in the last year without a single doubt.
Dang, interesting to find you here
exactly
Poggers🧀
And the best part is that this channel has other compilations like this one from previous challenges.
🤓 please stop hitting my rib cage with a metal bar 🤓
5:32 jiggle physics are weird for such a realistic looking scene lol
Such a small detail… tell me why you were looking so closely lol
I have an eye for detail. :)
What are the jiggle physics on?
@@j.r.m.s. На молекулах и их прикосновение
