Out of all of them, 0:55 really struck me. Something about the lighting revealing a centipede-like monster that is way bigger/creepier than I was expecting. Awesome stuff!

The render is actually based on a game called Hyper Light Drifter! You should check it out
It's referencing the game Hyper Light Drifter, actually. There's an identical shot in the game with a different art style. Disasterpiece composed the music for that game! And there is a sonic cue from the game that starts playing at that part of the video, a pretty amazing detail if you ask me!

I'm late to this party, but 5:05 takes the cake for me purely because that game has such a special place in my heart and to have Disasterpeace give such a masterful and subtle nod in the soundtrack made me stop and comment. Lxcarix Al, such an amazing job mate!

@@Bunndog A friend of mine passed away due to a congenital heart disease back in 2018 and after playing this game I felt a strange connection to it but couldn't understand why. It was fun and sounded good but I've played a lot of games and none sat with me like this one did. Come to find out later that the game maker made it partly to come to terms with his own congenital heart disease and the battle he himself faced. Really incredible moment for me.

the visuals in that look quite amazing, it almost looks like a cinematic movie quality.
The whole song didnt resemble the Disasterpeace I knew...maybe because I have played Hyper Light Drifter and recently Fez, I havent got a copy of Solar Ash or his recent work. But seeing HLD cameo was awesome, I am waiting for the the HLB, but I still think they could have made so much more with the world, the art, the side character, I hope Heart Machina is not trying to catch lightning in the bottle twice, while they sit on a massive IP.
Thought was so cool he weaved in a little audio reference to HLD, I also laughed at 5:25 when the music synced with the crab clicks lol

3:11 by Florestan Schuberth. That boss is so beautiful it gave me goosebumps. The insane creativity of blending architectural elements with armor on the shoulders and head, I have never seen this before on a video game.

@@FilmonGEMZ the whole competition took 1 month so I used every bit of it to make this piece, it could have been faster but since this scene is very heavy in volumetric so cycles had to be set to high sample for a proper look.

I love looking at the boss fights. Fighting with the undefeatables. I liked all of them and the realism in the spider vs the grasshopper is out of this world.
I feel like no one’s talking about Starscourge Radahn vs Malenia at 4:20. That was a really great render. And then the one immediately afterwards (Gandalf against the Balrog) was incredible too. Congrats to everyone who participated in this challenge. You’re all so talented!

Seeing Hyperlight Drifter at 5:05 was so awesome! I love that right when it starts, a new instrument joins in that sounds just like the one in the Hyperlight Drifter OST. It makes me think how awesome a movie for that game would be.
EDIT: I just found out Disasterpeace (who also did the music for Hyperlight Drifter) are the people who made the music for this video! No wonder it matched so perfectly and sounded similar, that's awesome.

The mushroom and golem at 1:00 really hit a chord with me. The animation was so beautiful. The one at 7:51 was also stellar. The dashing and slicing animation was super smooth, and was a real piece of art.
