Jen Atkin is one of the most desired hairstylists in the world. From fashion models like Kaia Gerber, Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and Cara Delevingne to the Kardashian Family like Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Kim Kardashian, she has done red carpets, magazine covers, and editorials, and music videos. So getting to see inside the wardrobe of one of Hollywood's most loved hairstylists is an interesting proposition, as one would assume it would be stuffed with luxury bags, shoes, and clothes but Atkin proves that vintage, contemporary, and comfortable clothing is dominant in her closet. In reality, it was a much more grounded closet tour than expected but definitely educational!

I was on the edgeeee of my seat thank you for being nice!! I like money in my bank not in my closet I’’m sorry!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yor closet is wonderful, nothing to be sorry about!!
That is the way to go! Love your style in life Jen! ❤️
Omg, YASS girl!!! You are so smart, and I loved your closet!
BECAUSE YOU ARE SMART - frankly this makes me stan you harder than a closet full of labels
Jen Atkin did my daughters wedding hair in December 2009 in place of Scott Cunha (who had to cancel last minute due to scheduling conflict, and I can attest that she was so cool and unaffected by money and status, whose focus was on making my daughter look gorgeously amazing. Miss Atkins deserves all that she has worked very hard towards.
CMON MIDDLE KID HAT!!!!! OMG
@@_sofie omg that’s a rude comment…
@@_sofie LMAO omg 😩 staphhhhhh kekekekeke
@@_sofie omg whats the tea

😂😂😂
I enjoyed her tour. Obviously she is wealthy and can afford expensive clothing, but she doesn´t seem like the type to buy a shit ton of classic flaps just for the sake of owning them
yeh I actually really liked her more casual vibe. it's obviously a crazy wealthy closet but it doesn't look like a store which is nice
Also die for u for the Meghan markle comment! Made my whole life. Also if it adds to my cool factor I literally have been robbed twice so I lost my flair for High Fashion. I also die for ur videos they’re so good. And Luke high fashion is also billionaires infusing money to make more money I’m sorry to break the news. I vote for us talking more about sustainable brands and DRAG RACE REVIEWS 💫✨❤️
Yasssss for drag race reviews
Jaded xd
she just doesn’t care about fashion and we gotta respect that i guess. she seems like a smart woman that knows how to spend her money tho. at least she doesn’t buy a shit ton of stuff with logos on it and calls herself a fashion lover like other girls do 🤷♂️
And what's wrong with girls that buy many clothes with logos on it and call themself fashion lovers?
@@istilldontknowmyname7324 ✨ Everything is wrong with them ✨
@@throwawayacc3484 what's actually wrong is judgmental people like you. They don't call themself fashion expert, but fashion lovers. Let then have fun with clothes and enjoy fashion the way they can/want.
@@istilldontknowmyname7324 logos are tacky and 99% of people who buy them do it for the clout, to have their outfit scream “I have money!!!” at whoever has the misfortune of seeing their outfit. What’s funny is that most of the time people who wear logos are not even wealthy but buy fashion as a status symbol because it’s cheaper than buying a fancy car or house
@@user-vw2jq3to5e So? If that's what they wanna do let them do it. I agree that it's tacky and personally I dislike it, but if someone likes it and is happy wearing these clothes I really don't see a problem. They're not hurting anyone, let them wear what they want without judging or making negative comments
"Children are a sort of... Little animals" harsh, but not far from the truth. Hahaha
So true!
i read children as chickens at first and i was like well no shit 😭 (im so dumb we stan)
What do you mean, nor far? Humans are part of the animal kingdom!
Dead accurate, from my experience as a mother.
"I'm not really great at discerning between children and animals."
Same tbh
They’re the same picture
“I’m not great at discerning between children and animals”. Me too, Luke, me too.
That part was so hilarious 🤣
The quick history of the Hermes plastic Kelly bag is… they used that it was actually used/given as a show invite for their guests attending the S/S 1996 collection. To help their guests pass through security checkpoints easier. The writing on the bag ‘Un voyage ay pays de merveilles’ translates to a “A trip to wonderland”.
She definitely had one as well it was the clear bag on the left next to the other two
*au pays
*des merveilles
I can testify that scarves will definitely never go out of fashion in the Nordic countries, hahaha! Some might not wear a beanie for fashion reasons but everybody ALWAYS wears a scarf!
Same in Ireland, its WINDY here. Often cold, but *always* windy. Scarves are a lifeline of warmth and comfort that we must acknowledge and honour against Luke's slander.
@@RealElongatedMuskrat Exactly! 😂
Jen got popular from being the Kardashians hairstylist of course she loves shouting them out
Luke... we're patiently waiting on the Adut Akech Vogue Outfits video!!!!!
And Rosie's!
YES!
yessss
Yesssssss
yesssss
Heart Evangelista made a video about her fave bags and dresses, most were not shown in her original video. It's cool because you can sense her Asian savviness about money.
Yessssss!
omg plsss
Yess, pleaseeee
Love her!
"NO ONE WEARS SCARVES"
*crying in hijabi*
Seriously though I live in socal and I have 40+ scarves in my collection 🙃
TORT means cake in Polish :D
Of course one in every color 😊
As someone who didn't grow up seeing many hijabis where I lived (rural Ireland), I think your scarves are just beautiful. I know that isn't the point (really kinda the opposite since its about modesty, right?) but I just wanted to say. The possibilities are endless, so many variations in methods of folding and securing, multiple scarves layered, matching colours perfectly to outfits or creating perfect accents with bright pops of complementary colours... you take my breath away! There's such an elegant art to it that I think a lot of non-muslims aren't aware of, I certainly didn't know this until I started to watch hijabi UA-camrs. Again I hope this doesn't come across as weird, and I should point out that I'm a girl saying this so not a guy being weird and fetishizing or anything. Just from one gal to another, I think your scarves are stunning.
@@RealElongatedMuskrat omg this is so sweet. Hijab can be about as frustrating as hair styling if you want to look Good all the time but it is fun to play around with styles :) I only started hijab 2 years ago so I'm still finding out what works for me :)
I have two children and they are not just "sort of" little animals. They are most definitely little feral animals.
As a former preschool teacher, I concur. 🤣
This is literally me if I ever become rich. I would still only buy dark jeans and simple boring shirts... just better quality LOL
12:29 I live in Sweden and it is pretty common that people scarfs during the late fall and winter, because otherwise it gets quite cold. Also, you can use your scarf as a blanket in school or on the train :)
The Givenchy bag is called the Nightingale and is definetly a Tisci era design.
I was just going to comment this! Such an iconic bag and so different to the Antigona 😭
I love your unfussy but genuine approach to "stuff." I feel like a lot of people either go too far into "fashion is sacred how dare you" or "fashion is so frivolous who cares" lol... so that middle ground is rare (at least when it comes to people in the online fashion space if that makes sense). It's stuff with meaning and artistic merit but yeah, it's not the center of life either. :)
To me it's even more anoying when rich celebrities try to be 'relatable' when they're clearly not, just say you like to spend money and go
Yep, I understand the reasoning for buying say one expensive vintage bag, however the only reason why you need more than one of the same item (jewellery, shoes, shades, jeans, shorts, tee’s…etcetera) is capitalism. That room looked like a damn shop! The only reason I watched is because I actually know who she is for once.
I'd love to see you review drag race fashion again like you used to! The fashion has only gotten fiercer so we need some opinions👀👀👀
When my mom was living in New York in her 20s, someone broke into her apartment and stole all of her mom’s jewelry, who had recently passed away. Such a devastating loss.
What a terrible blow to lose those sentimental items. 😢
Scarves!!! I love them, I collect them, I wear them! You must look up Vera scarves (not Vera Wang). They are for your shoulders, your neck, your hair. Handy little things to add color or interest. I love them!
I grew up with Vera scarves and even placemats at our dinette table. I stared at her signature for years.
Just want to say that I didn’t understand scarf culture and the necessity of one until living in Vermont. Warmth? Yes. Accessorizing moment? Oh hell yes.
"Also that seems to be... like a... real problem? Is people do definitely go into homes etc etc and will steal... stuff"
Not Luke our local law and order spokesperson!
Bloody hell this made me cackle, perfectly summed up that moment 😂😂😂
haha yes like ok luke get ur watch time up with that ~essential commentary~
Fun fact about Mike... he was the photographer and frequent judge on the early seasons of america's next top model
No everyone in Utah was just like that. I'm aging myself here but in Jr high and high school it was all about Abercrombie and Hollister and being walking billboards. Eye roll.
Girl! The same in the Midwest too. I swear in 8th grade (1999-2000) Abercrombie & Fitch was so over saturated. I remember people bragging about the “five finger discount” they got as well. So there would be holes in their tops. Ridiculous.
I'm dying at Cloffice! After working from my combined office/wardrobe for 1.5 years due to a certain world event I know finally have a word for my space!
Absolutely loved this reaction and her closet too. I like how she was real about the bags and then discussed some fashion regrets. I really love a great body suit too. I’d love that light toffee and grey good American body suit. And omg the favorite pants moment. The jean leather tie up was SO CUTE. I’ve always wanted to sport that but you know your girl is fashion dreaming 😍
The Hermès bag your thinking of is the un voyage pvc Kelly bag. It was given out as a gift at an event way back in the 90s. The givenchy is the nightingale and def ticci. Probably the least pleasant looking of his creations( Pandora and Antigona)
When its winter in Canada, yes we wear scarves. The thick ones, around our necks, not over our hair.Anywhere they get snow probably. Lol. Love your energy.
" Why would I buy brand new " ...mood
Girlfriend Collective is all I wear for athleisure & workout wear since 2020 WFH began. They are all about sustainable, size & gender inclusive, small batching, recycling, amazing quality & fair pricepoints. Total shout out!
i dont know anything about fashion, but I love hearing you talk about fashion. They way you can identify pieces, not only by brand but by designer and timeline, is so cool! i just love hearing people talk about things they're passionate about 💙
Girlfriend Collective is a really cool sustainable brand of activewear that is very inclusive and woman owned I believe. I just got a few pieces and I love them.
Sade T-shirt “sweet operator no sorry smooth operator”😂
I love these closet tour reactions and I wish there were more closet tours for you to react to
Love her vibe and message... not overly impressed with the fashion but she seems real and love that
luke's straight voice caught me off guard
time tag please (I get easily distracted and might not notice just watching the video)
@@xxkatarzyna1109 think she's talking about the voice luke makes at 18:13
Ikr I didn't know he was bilingual
@@stephanie6869 yes that was the moment thank you hahah
Okay THANKS luke i absolutely needed this in my isolation
The white one you were wondering about is the givenchy nightingale
The white bag is definitely Riccardo Tisci era. Givenchy Nightingale.
Firstly, I love your channel, your dry honest and informed approach is spot on!! The “children are kind of like little animals” floored me, so thanks for the giggles 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 The Givenchy cream hold all she pulls from her closet is Riccardo era, it’s called “ the Nightingale “ I want one so much and they’re impossible to find in good condition 🙈💛
Luke, you gotta do a video or at least research sustainable brands! Girlfriend collective is huge and a good model for a sustainable brand.
My fav one ✨
You should review youtuber merch! Like a genuine review, maybe with tips on how they could make something that genuinely matches their style and demographic?
*Venroy, Ksubi, Quay, Blue Spinach etc* ok ok Jen over here really likes an Australian moment!! 🐨🇦🇺 So many of Jen's inner circle also now have their own merch clothing and accessories lines (e.g. Unlabeled, ThirtyYears, Static, Dezi etc), and they all sort of look the same, very casual, in mostly the same tones. Probably the only one who's going to serve you a sneaker moment is Shayla + Lesquik. 👟 I agree with others in the comments, that it's probably going to be less likely that peeps will do closet tours, because unless you're going to pay for 24/7 security (or have people staying in your house), then thieves will be watching. It's unfortunate what happened to Jen + Mike, but they also post about their travels, and people knew when they weren't home. It's so shitty, but that's what happens.
Ahhh that feeling when you think about Lewk from Haute Le Mode and a new video pops us 🌝💖
I’d love to hear Luke’s opinion on Teddy fresh!
It’s probably too streetwear for Luke
Omg omg yes
Yeah that would be interesting
bruh I was about to comment this! yes pls
@@Amuh2004 i cant even imagine what he would say 😭 "nice hoodie?"
closet tour reactions are my favoriteee
Never been so early love ur content luke 🥰💚
I really like her. Jen seems down to earth and her style is cute.
Never enough closet tour reactions!!!
Finally!!! Closet tour reaction…. Miss this.. 😊😊
Loving the tourist vibe you're giving as we go through someone's closet!
love your shirt!!
I have a lot scarves, but I’m from Minnesota and have family all over the mid-west that I visit. But I use the little scarves in my hair and the pashmina size as a replacement for cardigan. I also use bandannas for my hair too.
Love the Middle Kid hat!!! Would LOVE LOVE LOVE you and Chris to do more videos together! ❤️
Girlfriend is a really cool brand
They use mostly recycled materials :)
The question I think we're all asking ourselves: is Luke really the middle child?
It would be fun if you reviewed viewers' closet tours!!!
Yeaahhhh!!
he rlly said I love white sneakers, but they get dirty, so I have to buy new ones. Imagine
GIVE US THE HAUTE COUTURE KWEEEN! The BALENCIAGA, the Schiaparelli, the Dior, the Chanel, the Alaia❤️❤️❤️ Love you
I actually enjoy a bit more approachable/attainable closet tour. She's got money, but it's not a competition to show off brands and most expensive pieces, more of a peak into a person's lifestyle. I think it would be cool for you to comment more on people's fashion who aren't wearing/buying famous top high fashion brands, but like cool young creative people with vintage, high/low, and/or upcycled fashion.
Really love her attitude!
Her closet was boring and that's okay! I would LOVE more international tours but with women in hijabs or women who don't look like they're from LA
Agree! I also feel like LA fashion is kinda boring, I would love to see more from other places in the world tbh
Yes!!!
You should do a video on Ferrari’s new clothing brand, since you were talking about translating a concept into clothing
Chuckling at the scarf comment. As a past resident of Canada, I can confirm that I owned many many scarves and wore them daily.
im so excited for you to react to IVH's new collection and video, it was so good
"and if it's on a hanger?... Proud of myself" I relateeeee 💔💔💔
Transparency queen 👸🏼
The creme Givenchy bag was called the Nightingale! They came in like a wrinkled sort of leather and yes, from Tischi era.
When you hit 1M.. you should do merch! 😉 curious to see what you'd come out with!!
Luv the video! U seriously need to do one about Devon Lee Carlson's closet tour.
We definitely wear scarves in Minnesota and other northern states! Honestly though that reminds me to get rid of a few of mine...
Law getting robbed makes me sad. I just know that archive is beautiful.
I love ur takes ! Someone has to say it!!!!
Lol, half of the world wears scarves especially during winter. Can't wait for the chanel disastrous haute couture roast
Yes I would freeze without a scarf in autumn
Omg the bucket hat moment!
16:18 about reselle val. There is 1 bag that i have my eye on & its the Loewe Puzzle (sinds 2y on the look bc its in a specific color i want) but it came to my 🤔💡 that the prize of the bag doesn't drop that much as other brands, it stays almost the same val. as buying new.
I rather love how Jen A stays true to herself (she runs a 💰💰💰 business) and yes she has more then the affrich person and ... & buys vintage bc she loves that instad of making lots of 💰💰💰 and from 1 day to another buys Hermes, couture etc..
No she doesn't do that and i respect that
Also its not her thing, so that is also has an impact on what you buy etc..
I definately remember Uggs and plaid flannels being a big fashionable thing in middle school. (This was suburban northeast Virginia.) Other than that, no one cared what you wore.
My parents couldn't afford Uggs. I got dark-brown knock-offs because I needed winter shoes and I honestly couldn't tell the difference. I was happy. Their wallets were happy.
The shade! I live
Luke is wearing a bucket hat! I have been wanting to get one because I wore one in 7th grade!
I collect vintage scarves lol I think ppl should start wearing them to protect their hair more often... I mostly wear them bc my part gets sunburned lol
We were scarves in Eastern Europe! it gets cold here in winter 😅
lol we wear scarves here in Toronto during the fall & winter. It's needed, trust me!
Omg! Middle Kid!
Love Jen Atkin🤍🤍
The Givenchy is the Nightingale. I fully support a comeback of that bag. Lol
Why did I start salivating when i saw her shoes
on costume vs fine jewelry- i think its great to have fun and play with jewelry trends and such, but fine jewelry is so much more sustainable (when will you throw gold or real stones away?) and there are some companies now making 100% recycled gold pieces locally, and ways to revive old heirloom pieces as well. having a piece of fine jewelry that you can have forever and pass down to someone else is so special. rather than accumulating a ton of stuff you dont really care about. just my thoughts :)
well now i want hautelemode merch
Got shamed by my friend’s mom for getting an old navy tech vest “finally”. we were poor and they finally went on clearance.🤷♀️
I do wish we had seen some dresses and some heels, but i can understand her being hesitant to show the more "extravagant" stuff
Loved what you said about that is just stuff!
WE NEED A HAUTE LEMODE CLOSET TOUR SIS!
this was like a Kardashian clan shout out closet tour lol
Yes the middle kid bucket hat!!!!
Now I am excited for Luke's merch.
"Ouuuh that has ... whats it called? ... a shape.." dead :'D
