One detail I really quite liked because they never draw attention to it: When Arthur runs, even out of costume he lifts his feet far more than would actually be necessary. Always in clown shoes, even when he isn't.

And that detail is Joaquin Phoenix's work. When they used stuntmen, they couldn't replicate the running style of Joaquin. The director thought the run was very special and great addition that only Joaquin could do. Todd Phillips mentioned that in one interview.

"Arthur has no good reason to run after some kids who stole his sign. He should just tell his boss it got stolen."
Cinemasins just suggested that a man on the edge of poverty should just tell his boss his sign was stolen, which would most likely result in the sign being deducted from his pay, which he can't possibly afford to have happen to him, as opposed to attempting to retrieve said sign. This is literally what happens when Arthur literally tries to do what you just suggested and tells his boss it was stolen. In short: Jeremy doesn't understand poverty.

So while he is ASCENDING on the stair itself, he is basically DECENDING in the camera, because he just feels like every day he is living is just going further downhill. But like American Psycho before it, you don't know what's real and what is not. Maybe the entire story is fake. Maybe he did kill those people but it's just imagining himself as a symbol. At it's most, the film is about class. How people who seem so civilized could be just as bad if not worse than everyone below him. See how Thomas Wayne punches Arthur,a mentally ill man shows that he doesn't care for the people below him. It's not a message for incels,it's about class. Media Outlets don't understand because they were always at the top for being the companies who made awful people famous.

(It helps that he's released so much worse stuff in recent memory. Also, I'm sure you were thinking more of the likes of Nostalgia Critic and CinemaSins copycats, but Mauler fits so well into that description of UA-cam critics who just list nitpicks and then act like that makes the movie bad.

I think he's more messing around with some of his complaints in the more casual stuff like the streams, which I don't watch as much. But regarding his serious stuff, I would barely dismiss MauLer as nitpicky for what he points out any more than I'd label Birdman as that for the way he points out the details of Cinema Sins' issues. I say "barely," because I do occasionally think he is being too fussy about certain things-like how someone phrased a statement or argument. But for the most part, I really admire his analytical abilities, and both he and Birdman are the kinds of folks I'd love to have edit my work as a writer so that I could see all the potential issues and decide what stuff I'll need to fix and what stuff I'll allow to stay for the sake of storytelling. I already know that some stuff is gonna be unrealistic. But I want to be aware of potential flaws so that I can make a conscious decision about what stuff I can tighten up and improve and what things I think are worth keeping.

Prince The Omega, it’s funny how truthful that is though because Deus Ex Machina is the plot device whenever a writer/writers write themselves into a corner, and whenever they can’t get out of it they just write a bullshit way to get out of that corner like in Injustice whenever it took another Superman to defeat Superman, but the scenes that Jeremy calls Deus Ex Machina the majority of the time isn’t actually a Deus Ex Machina.

So many sins I thought you were just going to counter with the "Unreliable Narrator" trope, but you kept the video fresh and dived deep into just how much this movie truly has to offer, and just how arrogant Cinemasins can be. Dang. Watching this video made me realize something about myself (and in part, why Cinema Sins is still a thing after all the inconsistencies). I loved CinemaSins way way back, before I had a therapy for depression and cynicism. Then after I gradually start to feel better, I find myself more and more unable to enjoy it and I gravitated to another type of series. That is, "Everything Great About ----". And now that I objectively know what side I am rooting for now, I know that I love what you're doing here.
