    I am glad I found this video. I roughly have 600lbs in my truck bed at all times and I hate the sag. Got my truck used and it has that dumb spacer lift also.

      Awesome man, glad I could help!
      The icon leaf springs are definitely a great option for the added weight. They will not sag lol
      Only issue I’ve had with mine is squeaking. After wheeling or camping trips they squeak. But after I pressure wash and hit with some lube they stop

    Nice set-up.” I’m thinking about doing the same thing on my 2021 Toyota tundra SR5. Thank you for the video.

      Thanks! So far I love it , I just had to re torque all my rear leaf spring components and they were squeaking a bit. Sprayed them with some dry lube and it was gone

    Did you use front bumper spacer to fit 35s in the future videos? I noticed you don't seem to have BMC done? Or am I wrong?

      No spacers! I ended up doing a bmc definitely needed it they were rubbing full lock

    How do you like the Bilstien UCA’s. O just ordered some along with 5100 and OME 2.5 Med duty springs. Did they help get your alignment back to factory settings?

      Love them so far! Allignment has been pretty spot on since I put the lift on. Rides good and the ucas definitely are solid. And love the ball joins are replaceable

    Hello there,
    What “notch” is your 6112’s set at? I’m doing the same thing with the 6112 and 5160 combo. I have the 5160 in hand and I’m waiting on my UCA from JBA to arrive any day now. I’m looking for information on what height to run it at. I purchased a new to me 2015 Tundra limited and I believe the guy before me has a two inch spacer on the front. I like the height of it so if it is actually a 2 inch spacer “lift” or “level” kit then I would want to keep it at around that height. However any insight into this is greatly appreciated. I want to know if you think that extra half inch is going to be significantly noticeable and at what height yours is set to. Thanks and take care.

    I’ve recently done the same thing but shortly after everything was completed and got a new alignment I’ve noticed popping noise while turning full lock. Any suggestions?

    • @bfm_overland
      @bfm_overland  5 місяців тому

      I haven’t experienced it with the tundra yet. But I did have the same issue with our 4runner. It was the drivers side lower control arm bolts whoever did the alignment left them too loose

    Hello, I enjoyed watching your UA-cam. I live in Korea and would like to upgrade my 2018 Toyota Tundra like you. I need to import and install all the parts from Korea. If you have time, can you tell me the serial numbers of the parts used in the suspension upgrade? ??

    Awesome video! I am looking at doing a nearly identical build on my 2020. You don't mention it in the video at all, but did you not have to do a dif drop or carrier bearing drop at that height? My 2nd question is the 5160's are only rated for up to 1.5" of lift. Have you noticed any issues or restrictions with that? Thanks in advance, love your setup!

    • @bfm_overland
      @bfm_overland  4 місяці тому

      Thanks brotha, so I didn’t install a diff drop. I really don’t believe in them when you’re not doing a crazy high lift. I’ve never done them before on my vehicles and never had issues.
      So I have them on the top notch and the only restriction I faced with the 35s was rubbing on the body mount. I did a body mount chop and that fixed it for me!

    • @Tyler-tk7sk
      @Tyler-tk7sk 4 місяці тому +1

      @bfm_overland I meant the rear 5160's according to Bilstein are for 0-1.5" lift. You're obviously a lot higher than that with no issues? And the carrier drop almost sounded like it was going to be necessary, even with a small amount of lift, obviously you never did it and don't have any issues? All good to hear!

    • @bfm_overland
      @bfm_overland  4 місяці тому

      Ah sorry man I misread! But I had the same thoughts initially and I watched a UA-cam video bilstein made explaining how the 1.5 works well and I went with it! So far so good in the rear. I added the extra leaf because I knew I was going to be adding a ton of weight in the rear (bed rack setup, 4 person tent, fridge and gear and eventually a rear bumper) so the extra leaf accommodated that perfect. If your not adding weight I wouldn’t add the extra leaf, these leaf springs are stout lol
      I have wheeled the tundra pretty hard a few times and haven’t noticed a limit on flex or anything like that from the 5160s and they ride great. I’m sold on them, great budget reservoir option
      Plus I love a rear rake look 🤙🏼

    • @Tyler-tk7sk
      @Tyler-tk7sk 4 місяці тому +2

      @@bfm_overland thanks for the quick replies! I also prefer rake so I'm not sagging when loaded heavy or towing. I really like the 6112/5160 setup but I'm planning about 2" lift front and back (to keep the factory rake) and I was worried about the 0-1.5" lift rating on the Bilstein 5160's.
      I also prefer not to do the carrier drop if I can avoid it, but all recommendations pointed to doing it. I'm glad you are having success without the carrier drop. Thanks again!

    Hows the ride with the new leaf springs?

    • @bfm_overland
      @bfm_overland  8 місяців тому

      It rides great! At first without the extra weight I have put in the back it was a little stiff. But since then they have settled, and I have added my tent, full size 35” spare 270 awning and some toolboxes on the bed rack. And it’s just about perfect.
      If your gonna going to be adding a lot of weight I wouldn’t add the extra leaf in. It would be overkill

    Can you do me a solid and measure the OD of the rear eyelet of the RXT springs? I bought the same one with the same 158509 part number and mine has a military wrap in the rear just like their website shows but yours does not.

    • @bfm_overland
      @bfm_overland  4 місяці тому

      No problem I can measure it when I get home from work. Does yours have front and rear military wrap?

    • @umurselek3310
      @umurselek3310 4 місяці тому

      @@bfm_overland It has both just like their website shows. The rear one does not wrap all the way around like the front. I called ICON and the tech guy mentioned the current design has not changed for the past 6 years. I understand that having both makes sense if either side on the top spring fails, you can still ride on the 2nd leaf to get to your destination. My plan is to cut the military wrap in the rear back slightly so that I can install the RAS system or ask ICON to send me one without the military wrap like the one you have. One note that the rear eyelet on stock spring is about 65mm OD, and so is the bracket ID for the RAS system. I called RAS to send me a 53mm bracket to match the eyelet on the RXT springs. BUT I just saw your video and I am very confused. Once you send me the measurement , I will call ICON again and ask more questions. Thanks in advance for your contribution to the community.
