I just found your channel. Am loving it ! My hair is fine but it is so soft. It feels like silk. Which makes it horrible ! Is there anything now that will make it less so. They used to have shampoos that alone made your hair full. Now they have so many softening products in the shampoo it makes my hair flat . Even when I go to the salon my hair looks awful. Most people go and come out looking great, I come out and look like a flat straight mess.
Hi! My hair is the same. Won't do anything or hold any curl for too long, slips out of clips & bands! Personally, I haven't found a shampoo/conditioner that will fix it. So, I go for volumizing ones with no sulfates & use products to give my hair some grit & grip. Mousse, a texturizing spray, and/or dry shampoo are decent options & my go-to's (Not all at once... probably.). Just commiserating with you. You're not alone! Yeah, I know that fixes everything! Lol! Anyway, hope you find something that works for you. Have a good day!

Hey Angie! It won’t lighten it at all. The only thing that can lighten hair is lightener (bleach). If you use purple shampoo for blonde hair, the silver grey will turn icier and whiter (it will lose the yellow cast). It actually works incredibly well. Give it a shot. You may love the result. Hey! I haven’t personally tried that one but as long as it says that it is safe for color treated hair then you should be ok. $10.00 per bottle is a really good price and I did find that this brand worked well for drugstore haircare. Give it a try and see what you think!

Hi, New to your channel. I’d like more videos about how to communicate properly with your stylist. Seems every time I ask for a cut with plenty of pictures as to what I want and what I don’t want, the stylist does whatever he wants and I end up hating my hair. My gray comes back in two weeks. Using Wella koleston perm color 77/0 and developer. My hairdresser does is once every 9 weeks and I do touch ups myself but my hair is thinning and hate doing it every two weeks. I use Pantene for color treated hair. Only wash once a week 🤦♀️ Is it the shampoo? Or the Wella ???
Most likely the Pantene stripping the color out of your hair. Not only is it stripping, but it's also depositing heavy waxes that aren't water soluble onto the hair shaft, which could be a layer that prevents your hair from receiving color deep enough into your hair's cutical to last long enough.

I have worked in hair forever and created a lot of hair products. A lot of shelf products aren't useless. You don't really need to wash your hair everyday unless you have scalp or other issues. It's not really good for your hair or scalp. Let it get greasy. If you need to wash daily sweat or some dirt out, try a cowash (washing hair with conditioner) and see if that brings it out. Your natural sebum is your best friend. I'm not hating shampoos on market at all. They're great products but don't use all the time. Try washing your hair with acv if you need to
Disliked the video for the simple reason you said you don't like sulfates in drugstore products. We all know that non-curly hair salon lines contain the exact same sulfates drugstore lines do.
Hey! I live in Southwestern Ontario and I purchased everything at Shoppers Drug Mart. If you want to buy them online instead, check the description box and you can find links to almost every product. Hope I was able to help!
HAIR FOOD I like the WHITE NECTARINE and PEAR. PANTENE Nutrient Blends Pure Clean and Clarify Shampoo and Conditioner No fragrance, silicones or parabens.
@@GlamGirlGabi The PANTENE formula is great when your hair is feeling a little “Over Conditioned” or in need of a break, the shampoo cleans pretty throughly but not too harshly and a quick 30 Second Treatment with the Conditioner leaves hair smooth, detangled and light feeling.
Parabens, sulfates and silicones are not “nasty ingredients”. This has been said so many times and “clean beauty” marketing has really brainwashed people. Find what works for you!
@@icuerdon I have no problems with most ingredients but Silicones and Fragrance. Silicones tend to give me scalp eruptions (pimples) and fragrance(s) have caused me to get a rash on my scalp, face and neck.
@@icuerdon I have been doing so much research on this and you're absolutely right. I am glad I saw your comment today because I am making an entire video about this. I have a science background (I have a degree in Cognitive science and my father is a University professor in chemical engineering) and I was totally misinformed about this whole thing. Thanks for taking the time to write this because less people need to just go along with the trends. This is a mistake I made and I will correct that in another video.
Oh yes I know that can happen. Often that will happen if you have very porous hair or hair where the cuticle layer is very damaged. Hair that is damaged and/or porous has a tendency to swallow colour (and anything else for that matter) and not let it go. This isn't necessarily an issue with the product itself but rather an issue with the hair type not being suitable for the product.
Honey, Joico and Biolage aren't selling to drugstores. Those are products that drugstores have bought on the black market, where the black market seller left them to expire beforehand or filled with an entirely different product. To say that Joico and Biolage are selling to drugstores is very disrespectful to the brands and misleading.. Education is key here.
Salon brands that are sold in the drug store should not be used, they are counterfeit so there’s no way to tell what’s actually in them. Salon brands are sold only in Salons or of course at the professional beauty supply stores that only hair stylist can buy them from and not the general public.
I think you missed the point of that statement. Hairstylists are known to hate drugstore hair products and act like they’re absolutely terrible which I personally don’t agree with. Hence, why I made this video highlighting several drugstore brands that I enjoy using. If I felt privileged, I wouldn’t use drugstore brands or recommend them. I make no money off of endorsing any of these products. Regardless of that, thank you for taking the time to leave me feedback.
@@malory1444 I don't just buy things in glass containers. If you look there are a lot of personal care options that are containerless. Like shampoo bars. Zero waste can actually be cheaper, we spend less when I do it better. Additionally, glass is infinitely recyclable, and fewer people mess it up, meaning a larger percentage actually gets recycled. I will also buy Lush because a lot of their stuff is package free, but also their black plastic tubs actually do get recycled when you turn them in.

Seems every time I ask for a cut with plenty of pictures as to what I want and what I don’t want, the stylist does whatever he wants and I end up hating my hair. Also would like videos about medium budget (the ones you don’t find at the drug store) hair shampoos and masks. TIA.
@@priscillanieto3322 awesome thank you. Last week I purchased from a salon ProDesign Tiger Shampoo and conditioner. Hopefully it will help. If you have any recommendations or thoughts on this product that would be greatly appreciated
Use a semi permanent color conditioner between salon visits. No damage.
So many hacks of Shampoo and Conditioner.
Thank you for this.
Thank you so so much for this video!! Loved it! 🤗
Will look for the Biolage and Joico at Shoppers!
No problem at all! Both EXCELLENT salon level brands. Wait until they go on sale and you’re golden! Let me know if you have any specific questions for your individual hair needs and I’ll be happy to help you ❤️
@@GlamGirlGabi Aww thanks!! So sweet!! Right now I just need a good shampoo and conditioner to start with to get away from the crappy Walmart brands. Then I can build on that from there. I remember using Joico years ago and really liked it, so I think I'll give them a shot again. I'm glad you gave them your seal of approval 🙂👍
@Cristina xo perfect! Shampoo and conditioner is the best place to start when it comes to taking care of your hair. I did two videos - one on how to properly shampoo and one on how to properly condition. Check those out if you haven’t yet because you may also find that super helpful.
@@GlamGirlGabi will do! Thank you!!
Excellent!
I remember when I got some frizz ease shampoo and I felt like I was really splashing the cash. I was rather taken aback when my fiance took me to kiehls to get shampoo and conditioner there
The professional lines do not sell to drug stores or department stores. The products are only guaranteed when sold in a professional salon.
Thank you.
Excellent video!! Lots of good options
Great info!
I'm a salon product snob but the avocado hair food is BEAITIFULLY FORMULATED
Is the Hask shampoo and conditioner good?
Love your hair that's why I viewed this
Thanks so much for taking the time to spread some love. Sending a hug your way! ❤️
Thank
ULTA is a professional salon. The products they sell there are guaranteed.
Ooh love joico
6:00 😂😂😂😂
We all know that non-curly hair salon lines contain the exact same sulfates drugstore lines do.
ive never seen any of these at the drug store in canada :(
Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll have to check this out!
Thanks
SCREW L’ORÉAL THEIR HAIR SPRAY “one wash hair dye spray” STAINED MY HAIR FOR OVER A WEEK
Ok
Honey, Joico and Biolage aren't selling to drugstores. Those are products that drugstores have bought on the black market, where the black market seller left them to expire beforehand or filled with an entirely different product. To say that Joico and Biolage are selling to drugstores is very disrespectful to the brands and misleading.. Education is key here.
Reference your resources
Why would it be disrespectful? 🤣
CVS, Walgreens, Publix, Target and a few more carry those brands in my area (Charleston SC!)
Salon brands that are sold in the drug store should not be used, they are counterfeit so there’s no way to tell what’s actually in them. Salon brands are sold only in Salons or of course at the professional beauty supply stores that only hair stylist can buy them from and not the general public.
“Drugstore” being a “dirty word” to you should be so embarrassing, check your privilege then check your IQ because you’ve got them mixed up
I think you missed the point of that statement.
They're all covered in single use plastic, and they're watered down. Anything that wasteful sucks.
If you only buy stuff in glass containers, what do you do with all the containers? Also you must be rich.
Yeah, I'm going to agonize over a plastic shampoo bottle, meanwhile, huge corporations are cutting through the Amazon and the Canadian government allows sewage to go into lakes. Yeah ok.
@@thisgirl5933 No one said agonize. Choosing not to buy something over the type of packaging it comes in isn't that hard.
And companies do shit like that because we'll keep buying their products despite the harm outweighing the good.
You're just abdicating your responsibility by pointing fingers.
Joico and biolage are my stables.just found you recently and love your videos and very glad to see you're a canadian ☺️ are you in instagram?
