The FDA already knows about all the nasties they allow in food and products for the body care. When you ask them why the nasty things in food, they justify themselves saying the quantity is very small and represents no danger. What they dont want to say and people dont think about, is that those nasties are in most of the food people consume in amounts daily... "small amount" multiplied per day, per week, month... (you get the idea...) piles up and then people get sick or ill with what they were never expecting!! The same applies to beauty products, shampoos and all... but in this case, there are brands who make choices that are the best possible and safe for people to use and it is great that Bobby guides us to those brands! We now know better! Should support those brands and buy none of the rest. FDA is not our friend, it is the businesses' friend. Thank God we have Bobby 😁

I can’t stand going the “regular” grocery store anymore and see all these colorful junk. It is so overwhelming. I am glad that are people like you who educate the public about the dangers of harsh chemicals. You are awesome 👏🏻
True. In bars, they ask their customers, "What's your poison?", But it's obvious after viewing so many of these videos that those "regular" franchises and corporations create every possible mixture of expensive good stuff and cheap bad stuff imaginable. So maybe these regular retail and grocery stores should be asking their customers "What's your poison" instead, because you really do have a lot of options of which to take and which not to take, so long as you accept some*.
All we have is people like this that make you think everything out there is bad... When in fact they're just doing it so they can sell their own products to you, the cat, the consumer. There are millions of people that use these products, ender still alive and well and good-looking.. it's people like this guy that make you believe everything out there is harmful. That you have to live your life organically. It's a big lie and it's all money money money money money money money money money money money money money...
I have been using shampoo bars for about 2 years, they last for ages, the brand I use is organic. No more itchy scalp, no more plastic bottles, no messy surprises when you travel.
Inspired by a suggestion about reaactivate hair serum of liitllextra, I thought I’d give it a go. After finishing four bottles, I’m seeing new hair growth.
Thank you for this.. I have estrogen driven breast cancer. I recently found you, just in time.. I am making so many changes in all products I use. I can’t believe how they allow greed for these products that harm us..
it's not always greed. there was a time when chemicals were seen as fabulous man made inventions. and a way to save natural resources (and yes cheaper) .. it's just gotten out of hand where our entire environment is chemicals.
The true $ is in medicating the masses for the rest of their lives. How do they ensure that? By making everyone sick first. Their defense is they list the ingredients, even though they use language no one can decipher. The deception runs deep, in all things unfortunately.
May God be with you hun. Don't use anything they recommend for any skin, hair (if you still have it) because they are wrong and if you mention it they will argue with you. I've been through it all and if I can do it you can too. Much 💘
We are much too trusting in thinking that anything toxic wouldn't be allowed to be sold especially for personal hygiene. In today's world , especially in the U.S. cutting cost and making profit is #1 goal. It's up to each of us to educate ourselves. Thank you for the video in bringing more attention to this important issue.
Correct. And the agencies originally created to regulate consumer products have been totally captured. We're on our own if we wish to stay healthy. And, yes, the US is the worst in this regard...& the rest of the world knows it.
Just remember you’re the one with all the power in your pocket with your wallet. You get to shift the culture of brands by what you buy. Even when you buy donations, you can buy more natural donations. If you type in your income into a world wealth calculator, you have the most financial swing in the world if you’re a middle-class American you’re not a one percenter, but you are in the top 5% of world wealth. Buy healthy products for those in need. Food stamps don’t cover toiletries, those rely on the benevolence of others. And even the poor get used to the products they’re given and when they have money they buy those.
Maybe you already do but it would be FANTASTIC if have had an Amazon store with all your approved products or on Thrive market so we don't have to look up each individual product, we can just shop all your products at the same time! I appreciate what you do! And I want your pots/pans when they come out! ❤
Use organic castille soap for shampoo, dish soap, laundry, bathroom cleaner, floor wash, pet wash, etc. Unscented is best. Don't put anything on your skin that you would not eat. It gets absorbed.
Great video!!! As someone who is being treated for cancer, I have to be SO CAREFUL to stay away from any sort of estrogen disrupters...whether the food or chemicals in the house or what I put on my skin! This video was so helpful.
I started using Cantu brand for my skin. It's all natural with only three ingredients : 100% shea butter, coconut oil and mango butter. They also have one with coconut oil, shea butter and hemp seed oil and another one with cocoa butter, shea butter and coconut oil. Just three 100% natural ingredients!
I started baking my own soap because commercial soap broke my hands out so bad. I did my research and ended up using goats milk with olive oil, coconut oil and other oils to make my soap. Now my skin is just fine.
One day I ran out of cleansers to clean the bath and shower with. In desperation I grabbed a bottle of shampoo that I wasn’t using any more. I figured it might get rid of some of the grime until I could go to the store. To my shock and some horror it worked so well I ended up using the rest of my shampoos as the cleaner until they were all gone. Now I use an apple cider vinegar rinse on my hair and that’s it. My hair has never felt more beautiful and I’ve lessened the frizzies quite a lot. If my hair is particularly grubby, I’ll make up a runny paste of bicarb Soda and water and wash my scalp with that, rinse until it’s all gone and end with an ACV rinse. Best thing I ever did for my hair and it’s cheap as chips.
Acv is abbreviation for apple cider vinegar. I am not the one who posted, so I can't say what they do, but I believe it's some apple cider vinegar in water poured over the hair, left on a bit, then rinsed with plain water. Don't do this if you have white hair. It can yellow it.
The time I faced hair fall, I did all these to effectively reduce it: Make a habit of doing massage for your scalp into your routine. Don’t use very hot water when washing your hair. Shield your hair from too much sweat. Use a dual tooth neem comb to detangle wet hair. Reduce your sugar and processed food consumption. Use mild hairfall control shampoo and hair oil like littleeextra cocconion. Nurture a positive mindset for general well being.
Good advice. Having a proper, well balanced diet makes a massive difference in so many common issues people have these days. For example, eating more fermented food can cut down on the amount you sweat, as well as reduce the odor(detoxifies). If you aren't sweating as many toxins, due to a healthy diet, it makes sense that you wouldn't stink as much. That cuts down on the need for anti-perspirants, which cause their own issues. Your body is designed to sweat. Using natural ingredients to create your own shampoo also has many benefits(ex. rosemary). It doesn't strip the oils and other necessary things for healthy hair, and many balding people have seen their hair start to grow back. For women especially, it make their hair much more luscious, and with the dietary changes mentioned earlier, you don't have to wash it every day. Also, your advice for not using HOT water is spot on, as it can really dry out the scalp. Warm to the touch is okay, but try to take cold showers occasionally too. It's great for the skin!
I've got news for you, when your thyroid quits working & you're dealing with incomperant Endo idiots, NONE of your claims will do a single thing to stop fistfuls of your hair from falling out!! When you're allergic to generic fillers in thyroid meds, dessicated pig & need Synthroid BRAND--- you will continue to lose your hair & have all the other horrible side effects like heart murder & out of control hbp, non stop sweating, migraines etc. Statistically most women will have thyroid issues in their lifetime. Some men as well. Count on it. The tiny butterfly shaped gland is as important as the pump in our body is!! IF you don't have enough, you can have a heart attack/stroke or brain damage. A body can't live without thyroid hormones. Whether it's a normal functioning gland or medication.
I go to a herbalist in Arizona. She grows her own herbs and makes organic body soaps and shampoo bars and lotions. Organic oils and herbs are amazing on the skin. My skin is moisturized even without lotion. ❤
She also has healing salves for rashes and burns and eczema, and organic baby rash cream. It is sad that our government is trying to poison us while herbs can heal the body.
As a retired hairdresser, it's refreshing to see someone talk about the right things to use. BTW, Dr Bronners can be used as a shampoo as well. You can even use it on your dog as a pet shampoo PROVIDED you use the unscented one. (Certain essential oils are bad for dogs.)
All essential oils are toxic for cats, and yet they sell “natural” products which use various essential oils. I purchased them before I knew. So clearly we do need watchdogs and educators out there both with human and animal products since the manufacturers often don’t have a conscience.
I love how he explains to us WHY these ingredients are bad. Not just this ingredient is bad don’t use this product. I want to be informed so I can know exactly why I shouldn’t use a particular brand. Thankyou!!!
lol you may want to watch lab muffin beauty science who is a chemist who Debunks everything he and others like him is saying. He is Not a chemist Nor a doctor
He talks fragrance 🤦♀️ one of his Bobby approved has fragrance that set off my allergies 😢 it’s Hey Humans so if you’ve severe allergies STAY AWAY from that one!!!
I’ve been studying this for years and a hormonal imbalance is what you put in and not on. What you put on is dealing with radiation, chemtrails, and things coming from the Sun.
Suzanne Somers was talking about shampoo back years ago and how you need to be careful what you use close to your brain. Her and Mary Lou Henner we're ahead of their time
I use her products. Her conditioner is amazing. But thanks to Bobby for all his good work. Especially he can grab the younger generation. Love Suzanne!
Great video. One thing worth mentioning (which was not explicitly mentioned) is that all synthetic fragrances and perfumes contain phthalates - which is essentially paraban’s twin sister and is, from my research, one of the absolute worst hormone disrupters out there. So ladies and men, if your product say Paraban free but still has fragrance then put it back. There’s no point in taking out the parabans if you don’t take out the phthalates too.
So no perfume 🫣😩 I’m going to have to do better by dropping the lotions and watching my skincare products but perfume, I’m going to have to keep that. lol We can’t be perfect.
Thank you for the valuable and eye-opening information. I do have Insulin resistance and PCOS andI'm in my 20s. I've always be told and hear "you need to change your diet, eat clean to reverse these conditions," but no one has ever told me to be mindful of the cosmetics and body products you choose. I didn't know many of these products we know, use, and see on a daily basis were so bad for us( especially for women). I will be scanning all the products with your app tomorrow and throwing out the ones that are not Bobby approved ( which is probably about 80 to 90% of them 🤦♀️). I am eating better, started keto a few weeks ago and I'm already feeling better and starting to sleep much better too and longer. Thank you Bobby for educating the lost and blind like me. You're amazing 🤗
I’m sorry Bobby, but you claim these healthy products are pretty cheap and not that expensive compared to the common products. But if a single bar of soap costs me $4.29, I will go broke pretty soon. The issue with these products is that I can’t afford them sustainably. A 12 pack of Dove bar soaps cost me $15 while a 12 pack of your recommended bar soaps would cost me almost $52. It’s just not sustainable for the average person, especially if you are in college and on a budget.
Still not seeing how this isn’t possible. 52 dollars is 3-4 hours of work on a minimum wage. 12 bars, That’s enough soap still for at least 2 months. 52 dollars to put good products into your body instead of synthetic BS is definitely better u can’t make excuses
@@lino2185 Like I said, it’s possible but not sustainable. Imagine using half a day’s worth of work to buy ONE product that is good for you, not multiple products. It’s not about excuses. Go on a college campus and ask students if they rather pay $52 for better soap than $12 for average soap. As one myself, we will always opt in for the latter unless you are financially blessed and do not have to worry about any of the economics of college. And this is just for soap… add those $52 to a list of better products that we could be buying and you will be spending hundreds more. You’ve gotta be realistic. I’m all for buying better, healthier, and authentic products. But what’s the point if it’s going to break the bank every time I do so, potentially causing more harm than good.
Think of it as paying a little extra now for your health, so that you don’t have to pay a ton extra in time and bills for a health problem these can cause.
My grand parents who lived well into their 90’s used baking soda under their pits and also brushed their teeth with it. Both had all their own teeth when they died. BUT, they also didn’t eat sugary junk. So, there’s that too 🤷🏼♀️😊
@@underated17 My grandparents and great grandparents kept honey and sorghum molasses on the table, these would be mixed with fresh butter and eaten on your last biscuit. Cake was made from scratch and there was homemade apple butter and preserves as well as canned fruit. They made their own ice cream and ate what was in season. They ate a lot of pork like bacon and sausage and they didn't have high cholesterol. Eggs and chicken they raised themselves and they smoked and dipped snuff. They all lived into their 80s and 90s.I love to right about culture and history so I may have said more than you are interested in. 👩🏻🌾
Bobby, I had thyroid cancer! No issues with fertility, but I'm always in a hormonal imbalance. My diet is mostly Bobby approved. I use schmidts aluminum free deodorant but I never thought about shampoos! Thank you very much for this video! I'll try.
I would be so appreciative if you did a skin care video - face wash, moisturizer, eye cream, make up, etc I’d love to know what the trusted brands are for your wife on all things beauty products if your willing to share. Great video! Thanks Bobby
Thanks, the hormone disruption creates erratic behavior, when I remind myself this I stop socializing, and its because I stop worrying about what people think of my actions, which makes me a powerful force for good, great video.
I have been using only Desert Essence products for cleansing my hair since 2019 and will NEVER go back to the junk I used before! Desert Essence and Dr. Bronner's products are the only brands that my family uses when it comes to shampoo, body wash, moisturizing, toothpaste, etc. I definitely recommend these brands to anyone who is wanting to stray away from toxic junk. 💚
@@kristenranda3882 I used to bleach and dye my hair on a regular basis before having kids. I went through sooo many boxes of black dye as a teenager as well as beginning my 20's. (Never again will I damage my hair like that! 🤣) I stopped when I was pregnant with my first child and haven't touched my hair with chemicals since. I may color my hair in the future, but I've made peace with my natural color for now.
I admit that every time I read the ingredients & nothing I understand, then I buy what ever I feel is good although all these commercial brands are seriously bad. You don't know how much this really helped me to make a new healthy list !! The good thing, you mentioned a lot of names as not every brand is in every market. Thanks from the bottom of my heart
There is an app called Think Dirty that allows you to scan products similar to your food app. I threw away piles of products including hundreds of dollars of Aveda products full of PEG after a rare skin lymphoma diagnosis. Thank you, as always for the education 🙏🏽
you have to stop trusting apps like that. everything can be toxic, even water - look up water toxicity. if you drink 15 cups really quickly, you get really sick; some people have even died from it. those apps dont base their ''toxic'' ratings on studies where people are getting sick from cosmetic products. theyre based on unrealistic conditions like rats eating massive amounts. these studies are purposely trying to find the line where it becomes toxic so scientists can work out how to make sure it is safe. if youre buying from a reputable brand, theyre using the ingredient in a scientifically supported, safe way. those apps are misinterpreting the science. theyre basicaly saying "drinking 15 cups of water is really toxic, so you need to avoid anything with even one drop of water" its the dose that makes the poison
I do somewhat agree, a lot of not good stuff are put in self care stuff but for example, petrolium based products aren’t always bad. Sodium, explodes on contact with water, Chlorine, corrosive and incredibly toxic. Sodium-Chloride should be really deadly then right? Nope it’s literal salt. Point is don’t just judge something by what it’s made from.
It be so cool if you wrote a family friendly personal care product book!!!! I'd buy it in a second for all my family and friends. I encourage you to do that some day soon as we want the best for all who buy everyday products. We need to use better quality products...be great to know what's out there. Thank you1
I replaced baby oil (petroleum-based) with food-grade organic coconut oil. Also excellent for removing eye makeup. What I care about is NO ANIMAL TESTING.
@@Bronte866 Coconut oil is highly comedogenic, which means it can clog pores. Consequently, it may actually make acne worse for some people (22). When applied to the skin, coconut oil may clog pores and make acne worse. It is not recommended for those with very oily skin.3 Aug 2020
I've been using Cerave for 6 years and it has helped my skin dramatically. Finding one ingredient that you say is bad and discarding a product is quite ridiculous in some cases. When it comes to ingredients, you have to pay attention to why it's used and how much is used. An ingredient that far down on the list means it's not much utilized in the product.
I agree. Take this guy with a grain of salt. I've done so much research into ingredients and it's great to be informed, but some of this guys fears are a bit overblown. Derms generally really like Cereve, and petroleum based ingredients aren't necessarily dangerous.
It us rare to find a Dermatologist that can be trusted. I have had to deal with the for many years for an actual medical condition. I'm not the kind of patient they want. Their whole "business" is directed toward those who pay cash for cosmetic procedures.
Being allergic to many things I have always ONLY used unscented products. Baby shampoo has been my friend since the 1950s. Baking soda with a drop of hydrogen peroxide makes for an excellent healthy teeth care - good enough for my grandmother so good for me. Use it carefully on skin as well. I sold Avon, Mary Kay, & other lines years ago. One allergic reaction & it had to go. It's always best to stick with clean clear water to wash your face. Additives add to your body's negative issues.
One tip about Schmidt deodorants. Many women of color have complained about rashes and irritation with this product. It also was not effective for many. There are so many ways to avoid needing antiperspirants unless you have a major problem with perspiration.
Cetaphil has another lotion that does not have those harmful ingredients. It looks similar to the bottle you showed in this vid. It's their light weight sensitive skin formula. Been using it for years and it helped my skin improve.
❤Old days in india people used- Body wash- Chickpea flour and water (also acts as an exfoliate) Body pack- multani mitti Hair color- henna mixed with (Beetroot juice, tea, lemon and yogurt) Shampoo- shikakai powder Conditioner- amla and reetha powders Body and face lotion- coconut oil❤
But they also bathed in the same river at which they cremate and spread their dead. Religious tradition is going to happen. But the act of also bathing there... Not a great role model of hygeine. Js
@@gothic7821 lol looks like you are a very negative person in general cuz normally positive people don't bring up the negatives just because someone mentioned some positives about something.
@@varsharao86 No, it wasn't "just because someone mentioned the positives." It's because it's *UNHYGIENIC* and personally, I'd rather not wash with things which promote bacterial growth, promote musky body odors, or bathe in city river water known to kill fish and spread of dysentery. Awapuhi is a more effective shampoo alternate, and it doesn't smell like someone bathed in hummus and dahl. But yeah, if you like those smells on your body, go for it. You do you, boo.
Also, coconut oil, is moderately comedogenic. So on the face, expect the possibility of increased blackheads and acne of varying degrees. Following with witch hazel and rose water will help prevent that a bit.
@@gothic7821 ok I don't know about that. Her whole life my grandmother used coconut oil on her face till she was 95 and never did I see one acne on her face the entire time I've been alive. And not only did she put it on her face. She also applied it over her body. Esplly during winters. And I also know many others who use coconut oil.
No wonder we have so much cancer. I am currently going through breast radiation and the Drs and nurses have me slathering on these thick lotions and Aquafor. Here I am trying to get rid of bad cells and I am putting poisons right back onto my body!
1/4 c Organic Coconut oil with about 20 drops of frankincense essential oil...I used when I went thru radiation on my neck..still use it 7 years later. Frankincense is full of good stuff!!
Radiation itself is poison. Skip that too. Terrible idea to destroy your immune system to kill off cancer cells. It’s better to take iodine and selenium but they tell you not to.Building your immune system is the best way of fighting it at the root. Frankincense is actually cancer killing. Do some research on castor oil too. I’ve learned that it’s a miracle oil. You have to choose the right kind as well… lots of great videos on that topic will lead you in the right direction. Blessings and God speed. ❤️🩹
Yes! Bend Soap company is AHMAZING! Soaps, lotions, ointment etc with goat milk and essential oils. You can eat them if you want to, but not appetizing 😂
I would also like to point out that most people who believe they have dandruff are most commonly seeing just a dry scalp. That doesn't mean you need an anti-dandruff shampoo, it just means you need something that is going to moisturize/not dry out your scalp
💯. I worked as a barber stylist and people generally never have true dandruff. It’s almost always a dry scalp or a build up of products. The need a good scalp cleanser then go to one of these listed products. Tea tree oil is good
god bless you for all information and hard work so so helpfull my daughter has keratoconus eye disease caused by pollution also goes bollistic before period we cant go out anywhere she is 40 yrs old she suffered for 20 yrs please keep up the good work much love
The bar soaps don't contain sodium benzoate either, which with Covid cleaning I found myself to be allergic to. It also cuts down on plastic, and other undesirable ingredients.
Appreciate the time and dedication you have to teaching us all of this. Im definitely making some swaps. As someone whose been in Mammography and studying about breast cancer alone, endocrine disruptors definitely play a role.
Endocrine disruptors are in damn near everything, sadly. This is probably why we're seeing more and more cases of breast cancer .. well cancer in general, actually.
Most definitely and that's also why so many people are having trouble conceiving. Most women are literally dousing themselves in these chemicals from fingernail polish to lipstick and other types of makeup and hair dye. Add on lotions & body wash it goes on and on. When I see little girls with nail polish and makeup on, I'm thinking they're already being exposed to these chemicals at 2. What's going to happen to them when they're in their mid-20s early thirties and want to have children? What really makes my blood boil is that the FDA has zero authority over this. When they should be policing what's in these products!!! In Europe and other countries, this is not allowed to occur. Unfortunately in America where lobbyist are King. We get treated like trash. The FDA isn't looking out for your best welfare. Beauty product safety should be the top priority but it seems it's their last priority..
Please dear avoid mammogram, go for ultrasound. Avoid X-ray. My oncologist always asks me to avoid X-ray because gynecologists always ask for mammogram.
What you buy is what you get . Glad I never used deodorant not my genes no hair no smell . I don’t buy cheap I’m 75 now fully retired. I used all the best one my hair almost got lots of compliments. Especially hair oil the most expensive and yes ask me what shampoo or what I used to my hair . You paid what you got .
I love how many comments youre getting! It means you're popular!❤ I ve been watching your channel for years! Keep them coming! I like getting informed and ideas.
I have been using Head & Shoulders for 30 years. I've tried other brands and I don't like how they leave my hair. I don't have any hormone problems or anything... my hair looks very healthy. I'm 57 and have 3 or 4 white hairs only.
I too use H & S, everytime I stray off for another brand or even the crazy priced "clean" "conscious " ones they are garbage and I suffer til I get back to H & S, usually the first wash relieves most of it & the 2nd washing takes care of it completely. A lot of these purified products are a scam. I've used ACV before but it's not for long term use. It's a once a month thing, nothing more, it deep cleans.
Cetaphyl was what was recommended to me from my oncology team for use during my radiation treatment for estrogen positive breast cancer!! What are these people thinking!! Thank you bobby. In remission now and changing my whole bath and body supply.
So a team of highly trained specialist are dumber than this guy?? I work in oncology. We recommend Eucerin and Cera Ve all the time. Trust me, it is not dangerous like Bobby says it is. If it were, he should be providing evidence based sources with these bs claims.
I have looked at this since 2018 when I read up about a girl who got sick and she had tests to determine what's wrong with her. Her dermatologists asked her about her products and after that she put a long list of products that are bad for you.Since then I even make my own body butter. Most shampoos have edta, sls, petroleum, glycerine
@@lifeisdynamic2464 absolutely not. It's made from either vegetable oils or animal fat depending if you're vegan or not, it's odorless, non-toxic and completely safe to use on your hair and skin. You can even make your own
Removing SLS from toothpaste and Shampoos has literally changed my hygiene for the better. I had no clue that SLS was causing my sensitive skin and mouth so much problems.
@H I Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It is a detergent used to make the product spread and suds more. So really foamy toothpaste and soaps. But, especially for those who have more sensitive skins and mouths, it can be very irritating. And fun fact, that funny taste after you brush when you take a drink is not mint it is SLS which alters taste buds for a short period of time.
Ok but let's not forget that a sit-in/leave-in product is different than one you wash away quickly. Having bad ingredients in a shampoo like S.L.S and PEG-40 is less bad than in a conditioner or a mask, which sink deeper into your skin. Also, it depends how often you use it. Currently, my facial wash has S.L.S, PEG, Propylene Glycol... however I use it like twice a week. Also, it's hard to find the 'perfect' product. You find something without S.L.S and PEG but it has fragrance, or doesn;t have fragrance but has dimethicone.
@@divinefemininekila2848 Was shedding a lot when i use H&S shampoo. It was super thin that wear baseball cap when outside. It's wise to pay attention to Europe's bans as they may have banned something decades ago, meanwhile here in the US it's still included. Big pharma, food and government here all benefit while we get sick, require medication and hospitalization. $$$ I've heard Europeans say they can taste the chemicals in our food.
I just started watching you Bobby thanks to Dr. Burg. I'm getting a great education and am on my way to making much better choices as well as my wife. This is great information and I'm spreading the word!!!!
I'm feeling a little skeptical. I've been using all of these products my entire life (I'm almost 50), as have my parents, sisters, brothers, children, aunts, uncles; etc. and NO ONE has ever experienced a skin irritation, infertility, cancer, hormone issues; etc. If these items are that bad, wouldn't one of us have had one of these problems at one point?
Doesn’t happen to everyone but for some it loads up the lymphatic system and have lots of side effects. Some things have gluten also so some people that are sensitive to gluten don’t know that are using gluten on their body.
If I’m informed and can choose between products with quality ingredients.. then I’ll say no thanks to tar, petroleum, butane and blue dyes, sulfates etc.
Dermatologists would have a field day with you and your assessments. Those are the very products and brands they promote weekly and no doubt they would ferociously defend them. Especially Dr. Dray.
@wandahumphrey9378 I agree with you totally. I second Bobby and his views. Just wanted to say that I think most dermatologists would take an issue with his views, especially one in particular who is very vocal about things she is against. When people speak against what she is promoting, she retaliates. Have a great night, Wanda.
Dermatologists recommend slathering insanely toxic sun block all over yourself before going out and opening your pores in the sunlight. That alone should let you know what kind of "doctors" they are and how much they really care about you.
@@JoaninFlorida This is more because the FDA hasn't approved a new sunscreen ingredient in over 25 years. Compared to Europe and South Korea, both use newer and better ingredients, but there is nothing else Dermatologists in the US can do.
About 18 months ago I stopped using all shampoos because they contain lots of plastic. If you have shiny hair or you see it on celebrities or news people it’s because there’s plastic in the shampoo and conditioner, coding the hair to make it shine. Anything with PEG, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate, or any of those glycol - poly things are crap. I have been using pure Castile soap for hair and body, and it has done wonders for my hair and my skin.
Today, I just bought Dial Spring Water body wash and I was actually looking for something that's not loaded with artificial stuff and like Bobby stated with other products, it's loaded with Sodium Laureth Sulfate and about 4 PEGS ingredients. I'm returning it back to Walmart. I've been using Suave body wash and I know that's no better. I usually research online ingredients, but I was out of body wash and couldn't' really read the ingredients on the Dial product. I just order from Urban Hydration, black owned personal care business that have nothing but all natural ingredients . I ordered a face wash, face cream and spot treatment cream, all based on Aloe Vera.
That OGX brand has a pending lawsuit about their ingredients turning into formaldehyde and causing hair loss in people. I used it for years and now have very thin hair!
Thank you so much for writing this! I literally just bought this shampoo the other day. I haven’t tried it yet so I’m going to return it. It looks pretty decent when looking at it in the store and the “ vitamins” for hair growth.
Necessaire, Naturium, and Iota are really improving body care. Plus, Naturium is at Target at an accessible price. All have fragrance-free options (essential oils can also be irritating to some people). And from what I've learned from dermatologists and cosmetic chemists, CeraVe is a very good brand. Parabens are just a small part of a very good overall formula with ceramides, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin. La Roche Posay is also a pretty good and dependable drug store brand.
CeraVe is garbage. They just spend a ton of money marketing to Dermatologists. The one time I was stupid enough to use a CerVe lotion, my skin broke out!! The Korean brands ( still have to read ingredient lists) are much more better formulated for sensitive skin, use all the active ingredients as CerVe, and don't cause break outs and are often cheaper. CeraVe can rot in the garbage can!
Yes, I use all CeraVe products and they are Dermatologist recommended and better than a lot of brands. Methylparaben is in CeraVe products as a preservative needed to keep bacteria from growing in the products. It's definitely less harmful than people think. Dr. Dray on UA-cam has a video from 2018 on Parebens in cosmetics and she is a Board Certified Dermatologist so she has more knowledge on chemicals in cosmetic products.
Very important information! I love that you literally show us which brands not to buy and reasons why. hopefully manufacturers will see videos like this & change harmful chemicals they use. It’s worth spending a few extra dollars to buy those better brands/products. 🌻

For Anti perspirants - most have Aluminum (toxic like LEAD) , anything you put on your pits is right next to your breast (men and women) ... if you are clogging yout pits with heavy metals that are toxic, right next to your breast tissue !!! Crystal is a mineral salt and it antibacterial so it kills the smellies without clogging your pores (which can cause build up of toxins your body is trying to sweat out. For soap, most all have SLS (sodium laurel sulphate) look for saponified oils ( castille soap , Bonners) so much better than regular soap and not as drying on your skin.
jesus no that aluminium in deodorants scare was debunked many years ago. Try to keep up. You know your body is full of aluminium, especially your blood, and you'd be dead without it?
Thank you Bobby. Your videos are so helpful. I’ve completely changed my lifestyle based on your tips. Would you be able to do a video on clean makeup some time? 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I haven't used deodorant for years, I just shower any time I get sweaty. I'll never forget looking at the label and thinking "rubbing titanium into my skin can't be good".😳
@@Brandon-uy1uv I live in North Carolina so it's hot, I just take as many as 5 showers per day. Just a quick, cool rinse whenever necessary, it's more refreshing. There's almost always air conditioning, and nothing beats a fresh set of clothes after a cool shower. Sounds like a lot but it's actually everyone else who's sweating! 😉
Keep doing this please this is AMAZING and EVERYTHING! We need more of this because we really don’t know what we’re putting in and on our body’s so happy I found you sharing you with my fam! ❤️😊
Modern marketing has convinced many consumers that they need products when truthfully some of them could most likely be eliminated and you would be healthier for it.
Petroleum jelly is very good at maintaining the skin hydrated longer and works also for helping in case of small wounds. And parabens are the safest artificial preservatives.
I'm so glad that Lume is Bobby approved. People are so caught up with synthetic fragrances, they complain about the smell of it but it's the absolute best!! It does what it needs to do and works in Vegas and TX heat. Odor protection is A-1 and I don't struggle anymore using the other popular brands that only work for a few months then stop - if they happen to work at all. If you don't overdo the application, the smell fades away very quickly. I love their body wash for odor control too! Never going back 😍!! Update : They did a formula change to get the deodorant to smell better but weakened the efficiency. I get musty after half a day indoors. No longer a fan
I bought a ton of items of Lume to try last year. Like I bought tube and stick to see what I preferred..I like the tube. Love all I've tried. Ready to reorder..
Lume is great. I prefer the tube and apply everywhere. No more stinky anything. No joke. I've tried just about everything on the market since trying to go natural/less chemicals five years ago. Team bar soap here. No more irritation.
Yes, I see a lot of reviews complaining about the smell of Lume products. I use the Lavender scented Lume, and while it's a bit strong, it's not unpleasant. Plus, they have an unscented version of everything.
Acure is one of my favorite brands. I find it at a low price at TJ Maxx or Marshall's. But finding their products is hit or miss and you might not always find exactly what you are looking for but it worth a shot if your looking to save a little money.

Well unfortunately that won’t happen because some people literally need shampoo for example or need facial stuff for acne or u know what ever the case my be but doing nothing will never work.
I kind of agree. We really are putting too much shit on our bodies and in our bodies every day and we really don't need 99% of it. Dear God! I'm overwhelmed. One good thing you mentioned is Castile is good; I've been using it for years, forsaking other shampoos & body washes. THANKS.
Several of the products you speak of are things that have been specifically recommended by my Drs, for skin conditions that I have, including my dermatologist, primary care and my vascular surgeon. I have lymphedema on my legs which causes the skin to be extremely dry, and prone to cellulitis so just any lotion for the dryness can’t be used because it causes infections. Both my Dr and the lymphedema clinic I go to prefers Eucerin, CeraVe, or Amlactin. I use Lume products where I can and my main reason for using them was the lack of Aluminum which you had nothing to say anything about. I’m 72 and I’ve heard of connections between aluminum and dementia since I was in my 30s. Why wasn’t aluminum in products an issue that you’ve spoken about ?
Yea always DYOR and cross reference. Anything short or absolute medical conditions that require certain specific things that work to cure the immediate condition I just try to find the least number of ingredients and the most natural possible and stick with that.
Listen to your doctor. He is fear monger if about parabens, petroleum, tar, mineral oil etc. those have been recommended by dermatologists for years and are science backed for many skin conditions. The fragrance, dyes/colors, and penetration enhancing ingredients should be avoided when possible. Natural fragrance is just as bad as synthetic, especially because it is variable.
@@Hyper_Driven This 100%. I use plant based/natural stuff as much as I can. A person with ezcema and sensitive skin might be prescribed any variety of these things. A good natural soap company that many people might not know about is Buff City Soap.

I make my own toothpaste and mouthwash. Next I am going to attempt to make lotion and body cream, maybe even homemade candles out of Tallow I render myself. I eat enough of it, may as well purify it to get the beefy smell out and use it on my skin too. Tallow is so good for you inside and out! I did however get some good info about deodorant from you! That’s for sure ! FDA is corrupt as the CDC, FBI and all the other 3 letters agencies
@@BobbyParrish someone is using your pic to spam all the comments here with crypto crap.

Watch "the pressley girls". They make and sell their own homemade soap.
True. In bars, they ask their customers, "What's your poison?",
But it's obvious after viewing so many of these videos that those "regular" franchises and corporations create every possible mixture of expensive good stuff and cheap bad stuff imaginable.
So maybe these regular retail and grocery stores should be asking their customers "What's your poison" instead,
because you really do have a lot of options of which to take and which not to take, so long as you accept some*.

it's not always greed. there was a time when chemicals were seen as fabulous man made inventions. and a way to save natural resources (and yes cheaper) .. it's just gotten out of hand where our entire environment is chemicals.

How do you smell?
That’s amazing! How do you do it? Do you have a link to a video I can follow?
Sorry no. But there are lots of soap making videos on UTube. Just do some research like I did.

No shampoo? And what is the ACV rinse?
@@michellealbrecht2222 apple cider vinegar. The vinegar smell goes away.
Acv is abbreviation for apple cider vinegar. I am not the one who posted, so I can't say what they do, but I believe it's some apple cider vinegar in water poured over the hair, left on a bit, then rinsed with plain water. Don't do this if you have white hair. It can yellow it.
I can't stand the smell of apple cider vinegar though 🤢
This is what helps dry flaky hair just use a spray bottle of ACV. leave on 15min. before washing and conditioning..Not every week..Btw is needed.
The time I faced hair fall, I did all these to effectively reduce it:
Make a habit of doing massage for your scalp into your routine.
Main causes are hormones and having been under anesthesia. Sulfate free shampoo.

Can you share good brand for curly hair please ?
@@karine8738 great question 🙋♀️ for dry damage curly hair, thanks 🙏
Thanks for the tip:)
Thank you so much for watching our back
I wouldn’t be surprised if Bobby would come up with his own line of soap/shampoo/toothpaste/deodorant in the future 😅

I replaced baby oil (petroleum-based) with food-grade organic coconut oil. Also excellent for removing eye makeup. What I care about is NO ANIMAL TESTING.

Pore blocking doesn’t poison you or cause cancer.
Coconut oil is fine and safe for anything.

There's nothing wrong with Cereve. It was created by a doctor
It us rare to find a Dermatologist that can be trusted. I have had to deal with the for many years for an actual medical condition. I'm not the kind of patient they want. Their whole "business" is directed toward those who pay cash for cosmetic procedures.
Cerave products are generally very good. For a start they are all unscented. I only wish they became more animal friendly...
Regular normal Cerave + regular unscented petroleum jelly are the only two products most people need.
I just replaced my bar soaps, shampoo and conitioner and will do the same with my body lotions. Thank you Bobby for alerting us!
Cetaphil ruined my skin. I can’t use it.
The facial moisturizer has benzene and proplyne glycol in the sensitive formula. Yikes!

I too use H & S, everytime I stray off for another brand or even the crazy priced "clean" "conscious " ones they are garbage and I suffer til I get back to H & S, usually the first wash relieves most of it & the 2nd washing takes care of it completely.
You wash your face twice a week??? 🫥
SLS is just horrible for hair because it strips your hair of all the natural oils. It's SO drying
The problem with natural deodorants is that they suck! Use them if you want to stink in about 3 hours.

Dermatologists would have a field day with you and your assessments. Those are the very products and brands they promote weekly and no doubt they would ferociously defend them. Especially Dr. Dray.
The problem with dermatologists is just like doctors, they get kickbacks on all recommendations. I don't trust any of them.
@wandahumphrey9378 I agree with you totally. I second Bobby and his views.

Thank you for continuing to bring attention to this. The more we all speak out the more it gets serious attention. 🙂 Have you done a video about cornstarch/malodextrin in foods causing allergies?
He was working in the Fiance field before this, so I take his info with a grain of salt.
Yea always DYOR and cross reference. Anything short or absolute medical conditions that require certain specific things that work to cure the immediate condition I just try to find the least number of ingredients and the most natural possible and stick with that.
stick YOUR doctor's advice.
Bobby thank you so much for this info! I have been making all my my own hygiene and cleaning products for the past 6 months. I use Castile soap as the base for my shampoo and body wash. I make my own face wash using coconut oil, honey, baking soda and Lavender and tea tree essential oils, spray leave in conditioner with coconut milk, rosemary water I made, Rosemary and Bergamot essential oils. I LOVE it and will never go back! I have really long hair too and it works great to get tangles out! My nightly face oil and cream for really dry skin made out of organic Shea butter.
I have been using Tom’s brand and just went to the bathroom to look at the ingredients and sure enough, propylene Glycol is the first ingredient in it! 😮 Haven’t found a very stable make your own deodorant recipe yet lol, so I will be tossing this one and getting a Bobby approved one! Thanks a bunch! 😊👍🏻
Castillo soap can be used for dog shampoo too.
Mil of Magnesia painted on with a paint brush for deodorant works great. Can also pour into used roll on bottle
I would love to try your products!
@@llovebleach6530 No kidding?!
It’s never too late to get educated and change it up!
I tried this Thrive thing you reccommend and they are PRICEY! I have found pretty good success on Amazon with no SLS in shampoo and Native for my deodorant. Much cheaper and you get it in bulk.
