Regular people don't understand a well stocked pantry, short and longterm. It took me years to build mine and I'm super proud of it. I could go months without going to the grocery store. It's stocked with ingredients, not convenience foods. You're absolutely precious and deserve all the good that comes your way. There will always be folks that have unfounded and misguided things to say. Ignore those people. ❤
People that don't understand the importance of food storage and security. The majority of households in the US have less than a week's worth of food in their homes at any given time. Those same people don't understand that grocery stores have about 3 days worth of food on their shelves. If something were to happen and there was a supply chain breakdown or natural disaster that stopped shipments people would panic and the food would be gone in a matter of hours. If I learned nothing from 2020 it's that things can go from okay to fist fights over toilet paper in a matter of days. @@kathybannister656

Your family reminds me a lot of mine when I was growing up. I was one of 7 children and we raised our food with a large garden, canned and froze food and raise our meat. just like you are doing. First let me say that I have been watching your channel for a while now and I love it. I shop the sales just like you and love the challenge of bringing home a good buy. I am 66 years old and consider myself to be a gentle person who wouldn't hurt a fly but when I see you cry over the comments that some nasty people make, I really get the urge to slap someone. I cannot believe the lengths some people will go to just to cause another person pain. Your family is like a breath of fresh air! Please don't take what the rotten people say to heart. For every nasty person out there, there are hundreds of people who look forward to your videos. Agreed with your statement. I’m 70 and we also love the challenges of using wisdom with shopping. Her children are diamonds in today’s world and they’re veins taught important life skills as well as love, respect, and kindness. UA-cam can be difficult because you have to take the bad with the good.

My parents instilled in me that a party should be built to, at minimum: 1. Feed the family for a month if financially necessary. 2. Allow for feeding a neighbor's family for a week if an emergency occurred. There were many times when a weeks worth of groceries were taken to a family who suffered a house fire or job loss. At times my parents would also invite a young person or couple just starting out to come and do a small "stock up shop" out of our pantry and freezer. Seeing your pantry and freezers makes me smile!

Although I live alone I still stock up winter is coming here in Ohio and I won't shop as much during that time and also if we have power outages I am prepped in ways to have meals and also share with neighbors. I am getting ready tomorrow to learn how to "Can" hamburger unlike Janice our hamburger here is pretty high over $3 a pound I paid $18 for 5 pounds of hamburger but I will be happy to have that on my shelves and readily available for making Chili or Vegetable soups up this winter. I'm a family of two now that all our 7 children are grown and on their own. I still keep a stocked pantry. Comes in very handy for company or when illness strikes and can't get out to shop. Love to you and the family

It hurts my heart to know people are making such cruel comments to you. I, for one, have learned a lot from your channel. I have been saving hundreds of dollars per month following your example of shopping, saving items to reuse in a different manner (ie: Shawn's upcycle of dog food bags and pallets for structures), prepping and maintaining for a down time or issue (We had a hurricane coming through this Summer and while others were losing their minds racing to the store.. I had everything in my makeshift prepper pantry I started and didn't need to run to the store for anything). You and your family have been a huge blessing for me and mine. I don't have grandchildren so I enjoy giving to your children. Giving is my love language so it makes me feel good to see their joy. I've never been good at managing money. I don't think anyone realizes how much work you put into making sure your family eats and on a budget! We should all take lessons. I'm not like you in many ways. I left my church because it changed into something I can't handle,yet by watching you it helps me get rid of some of my negative thoughts I have right now. We don't all have to be the same. We can come together based on our compassion and empathy for our fellow Americans. We should not be at each other. I bet those people who leave hateful comments are just jealous. Having a You Tube channel is WORK. Whatever blessings and money comes your way through your channel you are earning! I wish I had what it takes to run a channel, I would! If people don't like it they should just not watch. I envy many things about you even though I'm so different. I found your channel while I was watching my father die. My mother and I were his caretakers, he passed in his sleep this past Monday, which is what we prayed for. We used to travel with our kids’ sports. I would make tons of food and we would take our travel trailer instead of staying in a hotel. I am a medically retired educator. She too has 'stockpiled' much via many methods from freeze drying to canning including grinding her own grains, and they too, have a large family even though their 5 children are grown and have young families of their own, but she is their 'personal store to 'shop' at as needs arise. 🙂 Everyone calls her the 'Armageddon Prepper' she is so well stocked. I grew up with my mama doing the same thing so love it when I see others on board with this way of life. I am a careful shopper, but I have learned a lot from each of your shopping haul videos. Seeing some of your inventory now gives me some ideas about what I may want to add to my freezer. Some viewers have a misunderstanding about your situation. They think that you are frugal because you are poor. What you and your husband have said many times now is that is not the case. People that don't understand the importance of food storage and security. The majority of households in the US have less than a week's worth of food in their homes at any given time. Those same people don't understand that grocery stores have about 3 days worth of food on their shelves. If something were to happen and there was a supply chain breakdown or natural disaster that stopped shipments people would panic and the food would be gone in a matter of hours. If I learned nothing from 2020 it's that things can go from okay to fist fights over toilet paper in a matter of days. @@kathybannister656

First let me say that I have been watching your channel for a while now and I love it. I shop the sales just like you and love the challenge of bringing home a good buy. I am 66 years old and consider myself to be a gentle person who wouldn't hurt a fly but when I see you cry over the comments that some nasty people make, I really get the urge to slap someone. I cannot believe the lengths some people will go to just to cause another person pain. Your family is like a breath of fresh air! Please don't take what the rotten people say to heart. For every nasty person out there, there are hundreds of people who look forward to your videos. Your children are such shining examples of what kids should be and they are blessed to have both you and Shawn as parents. My parents instilled in me that a party should be built to, at minimum:
1. Feed the family for a month if financially necessary.
2. Allow for feeding a neighbor's family for a week if an emergency occurred. There were many times when a weeks worth of groceries were taken to a family who suffered a house fire or job loss.
At times my parents would also invite a young person or couple just starting out to come and do a small "stock up shop" out of our pantry and freezer.
Seeing your pantry and freezers makes me smile!
My mother places avocado’s in a paper bag and closes it. She says it helps in the ripening process. Give it a try.

Although I live alone I still stock up winter is coming here in Ohio and I won't shop as much during that time and also if we have power outages I am prepped in ways to have meals and also share with neighbors. I am getting ready tomorrow to learn how to "Can" hamburger unlike Janice our hamburger here is pretty high over $3 a pound I paid $18 for 5 pounds of hamburger but I will be happy to have that on my shelves and readily available for making Chili or Vegetable soups up this winter. I'm a family of two now that all our 7 children are grown and on their own. I still keep a stocked pantry. Comes in very handy for company or when illness strikes and can't get out to shop. Love to you and the family

It hurts my heart to know people are making such cruel comments to you. I, for one, have learned a lot from your channel. I have been saving hundreds of dollars per month following your example of shopping, saving items to reuse in a different manner (ie: Shawn's upcycle of dog food bags and pallets for structures), prepping and maintaining for a down time or issue (We had a hurricane coming through this Summer and while others were losing their minds racing to the store.. I had everything in my makeshift prepper pantry I started and didn't need to run to the store for anything). You and your family have been a huge blessing for me and mine. I don't have grandchildren so I enjoy giving to your children. Giving is my love language so it makes me feel good to see their joy. I've never been good at managing money. I don't think anyone realizes how much work you put into making sure your family eats and on a budget! We should all take lessons. I'm not like you in many ways. I left my church because it changed into something I can't handle,yet by watching you it helps me get rid of some of my negative thoughts I have right now. We don't all have to be the same. We can come together based on our compassion and empathy for our fellow Americans. We should not be at each other. I bet those people who leave hateful comments are just jealous. Having a You Tube channel is WORK. Whatever blessings and money comes your way through your channel you are earning! I wish I had what it takes to run a channel, I would! If people don't like it they should just not watch. I envy many things about you even though I'm so different. We used to travel with our kids’ sports. I would make tons of food and we would take our travel trailer instead of staying in a hotel. I am a medically retired educator. Our family helped with beef as they were ranchers. God provided for us.

She too has 'stockpiled' much via many methods from freeze drying to canning including grinding her own grains, and they too, have a large family even though their 5 children are grown and have young families of their own, but she is their 'personal store to 'shop' at as needs arise. 🙂 Everyone calls her the 'Armageddon Prepper' she is so well stocked. I grew up with my mama doing the same thing so love it when I see others on board with this way of life. I am a careful shopper, but I have learned a lot from each of your shopping haul videos. Seeing some of your inventory now gives me some ideas about what I may want to add to my freezer. Some viewers have a misunderstanding about your situation. They think that you are frugal because you are poor. What you and your husband have said many times now is that is not the case. You want to share what you have learned about stretching a dollar. Thank you for doing that.
Viewers are sending things to your family because they want too, and they love your channel..Please block these negative people...They are everywhere, and they need to be ashamed of themselves...
