So glad that the kids got to pick some of the "travel Treats"... love it.
Grew up on a 40 acre farm. My mom didn't work outside the home. She would always have 2 big gardens. She would can and freeze most all out vegetables each summer. We had our own cattle, hogs, chickens so we never brought meat at the grocery stores. We would have a couple dairy cows to milk and mom would use the cream to make our butter.
It makes me happy when you post a new video. I could watch y'all for hours ❤️🙏🏻❤️
We love our snacks, especially when we have movie night. ❤❤❤
Ooooohhhh!!!! Butter again!!!! Wahoo!!! Happy dance...Happy dance!!! Great Job Janice!
I just live when tbey all say "BYE" at the end. Especially that one little voice to close it out. It just makes my day.
Also another good thing to put in your water is cucumber slices. Taste like a summer day. So good
I bet the kids are excited about your trip 😆 hope everyone has fun ..nice grocery haul you always get good deals i shop like that too. .im. always looking for deals 😊 have a wonderful weekend ☺️ 😊
(from Shawn) The trip went great and the kids really enjoyed themselves. We plan on releasing a video from the trip soon.
I’ve learned so much from all of your videos. Super fan thank you.
All I did on my old channel was makeup tutorials.
Awesome 😊❤🙏
Ms. Ruby
I absolutely love watching your grocery shopping!! I’ve learned so much from you concerning comparative shopping 💕🙏🙏
I look forward to these videos every month. I always learn something new and I appreciate you making them. Thank you!
You always do a great job, you know your prices. 👍 💜
Janice! My favourite Home Economist!
Just love how you plan & check all the prices🎉🎉
Great job
I am going along with you on your family trip!🎉
Hello from North Carolina blessings to you and your family
Hand up to you! We froze a bunch of green beans and we absolutely hated them and ended up throwing them out, we haven t esten green bean since. Are used to like brussels sprouts, but one time I got them from the food basket place you ordered baskets whatever and we I fried some up and then I ended up throwing up all night. I cannot eat brussels sprouts since then.. we don’t have the first two stores, but we have Kroger and I always look for of the Kroger sales, and it has helped me. It makes me happy when you say that makes me happy.
I love how you stock your cabinets. I’m not as smart or regimented as you, wish I was, though.❤️❤️
I dont have kids (just me and hubby), but just love Janice and the whole family. Thank you ❤
WOW WHAT a haul!!!! I LOVE seeing your hauls. SO much work to put everything out on the tables so neatly for us to see. Thank you. I appreciate that. You all are GREAT!! You are the QUEEN of shopping. I bet Shawn is so proud of his you! LOVE you guys....
You are very organized!
Heyyyy! Mrs.Ozark!❤🌹🫶👋 love it! Keep those absolutely great deal hauls coming! Heyyy! ❤🫶👋Ozark Family!
Wow! That was a large haul!! Lots of great deals!
(from Shawn) I think that was the largest haul she has recorded.
You are amazing! Such a sweet and kind person! Love watching you and your precious family! Blessings!
I love your what’s your eating in a day
Our Kroger had the butter on for 1.99! I made a couple trips for salted and was so thrilled to stick our freezer! I need to check the cheese this week for that deal. I love finding the salad kits marked down. You had a great haul!
Loved the video.
Feeding your family very healthy indeed ,plus saving money on large hauls Accomplishments !! Thumbs up xoxo
I couldn’t help notice that you had Streit’s Matzo. I used to ,make all of the Kosher for Passover for my son’s school. It makes great cheese pizza. It also is good to add turkey stuffing. Breaking it up for stuffing is even better.
Great haul, Janice! Thank you! 🥰
It's so interesting, what you buy and how much it costs - even though I'm watching you from Germany. 😂
5:07 That's a reeeeeaaaally good prize! I LOVE avocados. 😍
Sadly they are very expensive here. The prize for ONE avocado is about 3 Euro here. That's 3,20 USD. 😭
Yikes! We would never have homemade guacamole ever again if avocados were that expensive here! :)
Great haul 👌
Thank you Janice for displaying your large monthly shopping haul . You do an amazing job shopping for your family. Egg noodles are a staple in my pantry. My husband loves egg noodles. He likes to eat as a side with a little butter ( also loves Stroganoff) . I’m going to try the Aldi Fremont Salmon . Thank you for introducing me to this brand 🩷🌸🌺🩷
I just feel like we could hang out over some good food… you feel like family
Nice haul. I did bf's freezer meal & pantry stock up haul last week (he's in a care center for now (Gods blessed for healing him a couple weeks ago).😊
Looking forward to learning about your planned family trip. I’m assuming that it’s a day trip because of your dogs and farm critters that need tending to on a daily bases. (Really more than once during a days time) Being able to plan a getaway with family is a happy day for all! ♥️♥️
Yeah, there was a lot of excitement around here because of the trip. I hope to share it with you soon, Eileen! 💕
That's a big haul of groceries that would last me and my husband 6-7 months that would get us through the whole winter with those groceries LOL 🤣 love y'all You're beautiful people you have the most wonderful polite loving beautiful children loving beautiful parents with godly great morals that you passed that down to your children there beautiful well-mannered kind-hearted and the way they appreciate everything that they get from your UA-cam friends we love you all how they're also calm but excited and they wait their turn to open a box that's priceless to me to see children like that don't mean to keep carrying on yeah I do LOL 🙏❤️ you don't see that much anymore nowadays in families which breaks my 💔. 🙏❤️. Be very proud of yourself mom and dad ✌️👍💙💞💪
Love watching your videos! You sure found some really good prices this month. I also shop at Aldi's and Walmart.
Love watching your grocery haul videos Janice. Though in Canada it reminds me to check the cost per unit rather then shopping on auto pilot.
Oooo a spaghetti bake also sounds good for a meet n greet! Just a random idea haha😅
Awesome grocery haul leaning lot by listen to u mrs jance❤
Thanks! I sure to appreciate you being here and taking the time to comment! 💕
Great haul Janice. You get the best prices. I love how you figure every penny. I'm learning so much from you.
That makes me very happy, Carol! 💕 It makes me smile to know that others are benefiting from this type of video!
That’s so true Carol, Janice will get you the rock bottom price.😊
Thanks for the tip on the apples at Aldi's I was almost on my way over there tonight after watching your video but met up with neighbors in the driveway will have to do it tomorrow I need to make up applesauce too. Anna In Ohio
We went on a family trip and managed to eat most of our fresh produce before we left. I was stumped on what we could have for dinner the day we got back. I needed a quick easy meal from our pantry and the freezer. Hello fresh and such things are not in our budget. We ate beans and franks (non pork) version and frozen peas with carrots which were still ok. It was so easy it will probably be something I continue to plan on making on that day you get home from a trip and are so tired.
I would fry up all the hamburger and then freeze. Makes meal prep so much easier. You can have a pot of soup, chili, spaghetti so quick to assemble, and takes up far less freezer space. I've done this for 30 years. I used to cook about 20#, then make and freeze meatloaf and burger patties (raw) with the remaining 10#. I figured while I was in it, might as well get some meal prep done for the future. Hope this helps.
I love your videos
Store natural peanut butter outside the fridge upside-down and it doesn't separate as bad.Lyatt Sandee from Ohio. 💜💜🙏🤟😊
You did a great haul ,I look for best-selling prices too . With inflation, it's hard to keep up at times !
Sarah you can make your own homemade peanut butter.. a jar of peanuts (Aldi's) run it through the food processor and you have peanut butter and yup it separates. Anna In Ohio
You are such great mom. Your children are so helpful. Your family are so bless. Keep up your great work.
Don't know if you have a microwave but, if you do, you can peel and slice the apples, place in a microwaveable dish. Add some butter and brown sugar or whatever you want to sweeten it. Cover with microwaveable lid or Saran Wrap with holes poked in it with a toothpick. Nuke 10 min and you will have the equivalent to baked apples without having to heat up your oven. They're very good!
Way to Go Janice!!!
Love your grocery hauls!!
Foster Farms is a good chicken brand! I buy their whole fryers here in the west, but I’ve never tried their chicken strips! Hubby does better with eating smaller amounts five times a day to spread out what would be three meals and two snacks. Helps him with controlling his Type 2 diabetes. I do get store brand frozen chicken strips for him at Winco, but I would definitely try the Foster Farms brand if I ever saw them! Super price on my favorite Challenge butter!
Another great bunch of buys, Janice!
Can we have a pantry tour? It would be nice to see what you’re stocked up on! I know you did like a freezer tour or something right?
Enjoyed this video as always!! Wish I had some of those stores around m, but unfortunately I don’t!! The Aldi that’s about 15 miles from me is definitely not good at all! It is like a mom and pop store only way higher! I have been one time and I was totally not impressed! Everything was higher and in smaller sizes like a Dollar Tree but with way higher prices. Glad you are finding such good deals!! Ty for sharing
I recently bought red wine vinegar at Aldi
Good timing with this video because I’ll probably be going out tomorrow to get some groceries and it reminded me to stick to the plan!
Last time I went to Aldi (about 2 weeks ago) I spent $160 because I broke the rule of never shopping while hungry and ended up buying all sorts of frivolous stuff (flavored pastas, for one).
I'd say treat yourself to some store bought sanitary napkins. These days, they are super thin & comfortable. You both deserve that. ❤
So happy you covered the tangy yogurt because my last two batches have been tangy. I planned to get a new active starter but wasn't sure that would correct the problem now I know thanks for the info.
Yeah Geraldine, a new starter always solves the problem for us. I hope it does for you too! 💕
(From Jason) You are absolutely brilliant at this. I am going to ask Cari to watch through this, take copious amounts of notes and put in a system for our shopping trips. Great video!!
Great mom. Much love to you all
Janice you are truly an inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing with us. You have a beautiful family and I get so excited when you post a new video!
Next Q&A..Your kids have the best manners. What i want to know is how you discipline them when they misbehave.
I LOVE how you grocery shop/budget!! You're such an inspiration❤❤!! Be careful with the lemon water. Several hundred dollars later (e.r. visit😩) I've learned if you have "thin" blood, the citrus can make it thinner. I had to give up my lemon water🥺. Man I wish I had a Kroger close to me!! You did AWESOME girl!! Love and hugs❣️ 💞🙏💞🍃🍁🍂🍎🍐
I haven't heard that before, Jeanne! Thanks for pointing it out. I'll be sure to mention it to Shawn. 💕
I'm not entirely sure if this is for everyone but my dad has always bled a lot when he cut himself. He was a contractor when I growing up so that is something that can happen often enough. In his older years he has had a couple of surgeries, they had to be careful with the typical blood thinners that they gave after the surgeries.
See about pricing to see if cheaper to make your own peanut/almond butter
My Mommaw. Used to make the most beautiful apple jelly from the peels of the apple. She would boil them and you sure Gail that I was a little girl and I don’t remember exactly how but it would be clear jelly with a tent of pink and it was just beautiful. It tasted great all those apples made me think of that.
Sue, I just read your comment to Sarah and now she's going to be looking up recipes for that! 😉
@@ozarkfamilyhomestead if I had a big family, I would certainly try it. I think she just boiled him. Mom said she wouldn’t even sure if she used Sherjill but I think she did. I was only about six or eight.
Hi Janice, was wondering if there were fruit orchards (apple, pear, peach etc..) near your family? I am able to go u-pick fresh fruit off the tree for preserving or just eating, there are orchards within an hour and a half near where I live..
Lemon water is so good for you and helps keep your blood pressure in check!! And just wanted to you to know I tried the pesto recipe that you posted, it is the first time I have ever made pesto and it is so good!!! I have been using it on English Muffin pizza's and have some in the freezer to try the next time I make pasta..
Nice job on your grocery haul! Enjoy your family road trip!!
I do the same thing you do.
I grate and freeze my bulk cheese.. can also freeze the block. But not really worth it. It's life is long in the fridge 😊
I was up your way on Wednesday. Didn't see you though
What type of canning will Sarah be doing with the apples? Everything looked so good it made me hungrey 😊
I am so disappointed that I won’t able to come to your meet & great, I am temporarily unable to walk. I hope you will Live stream it. ❤
I changed from angel soft to Aldi septic safe and lesson learned over 500.00 later septics unclogged and we’re back to angelsoft be careful
Unreal prices Janice ,you won't get that in Aussie, though we get good specials ...you guys do pounds ...we go Kilos..thanks for sharing 💞
Hi Janice, have you looked into a gallon jug of red wine vinegar at either Walmart or Sam's then you can fill your little bottle.
I live in Mississippi and there's a few places that charge a percentage at the register. I won't shop at any of them. Prices are high enough as it is without adding more just to get the so called deals.
Hi guys ❤
Love these grocery haul videos! What spices do you use in the ground turkey to make sausage? Blessings!
I've really learned alot watching you Janice you're so so Awesome and you family God Bless You all 😊
Thanks Rita! I hope you know that we all appreciate your support during this whole UA-cam experience! 💕
Hey from East Texas! Nice haul. And I really appreciate your breakdown of the prices. We don’t have a Kroger here…just an Albertsons. But I understand they are merging. Interesting. Also…found out we are getting an ALDI’s here in our Little Berg. Looking forward to seeing what an Aldi’s is like. Wish we could get a Winn Co! That would be AWSOME!
My sister found the Challenge butter at Mariano's a Chicago chain on clearance for $1.25 a lb. She was kind enough to get me 12lbs!
It amazes me Janice how you figured out to the Penny the best deals ! You know how to save your family money I
Always love your videos! We usually keep granola bars and carry a cooler when we travel, stopping at a convenience store is outrageous even for two can't imagine what it would be for a large family. Have a great weekend!🙏❤️
Hi Sara! Yeah, candy bars, bottled waters, and chips at a convenience store would cost quite a bit for us! 😁
We do the same thing. I have started carrying washed fruit, carrots, and celery that is ready to eat, cheese sticks or pre-cut cheese, and the shredded wheat crackers from Aldi. That way our snacking does not break our diet banks either.
Road trip sounds fun! You definitely need fun snacks for a road trip!! Looks like you got some great deals!!
(from Shawn) We had a great time on the trip. Visiting with family, seeing beautiful places on the way and eating too much!
I need the sausage recipe!! We get ground Turkey for so much cheaper!!!
Do you have a video on how you keep up with your pantry? If 6 would be interested in seeing it as I have trouble keeping up with mine.
Great grocery haul❤❤❤
You do such an amazing haul love you guys ❤
My son mentioned tonight as he peaked in during your grocery haul video just shaking his head. I said, what’s up and he replied you’ve developed keen ways to find the best bargains within the money you have for the month without resorting to denying anyone from a favorite snack or whatever. He’s beginning to admire all your economic talents and shopping from a list by only replacing items in your pantry. You’ve totally sold him on the need to give Aldi the best try as well as Walmart as he finds many items at Meijer too tempting and ends of violating the budget he’s set for the month. I’m sure he’ll peer into more grocery haul videos to gain even better budget insights. Thanks again, sweet Janice for be willing to share these tips in grocery management. You’re brain is like a computer! In Christ, Mary Ann 😍😍🙏🙏🛒🛒😊😊
Hello we love watching your videos in California 🌴 you are so ORGANIZED and you know price’s down to the penny 👍 with your organization skills you would have made a great MAIL CARRIER 😊 I’ve never been to a sams club it’s just to far 😌 so we are always in COSTCO 👍 now when it comes to Walmart they do not have the best prices for instance I buy protein bars Walmart they are always more EXPENSIVE we have friends that think Walmart is always cheaper WRONG !!! We were looking for an air conditioner for our pool house 500 sq ft and the best price was AMAZON 🎉🎊 the Walmart price is $459.00 AMAZON price $269.99 that is a huge difference !!! it’s the exact same machine way cheaper on AMAZON . Walmart is not always CHEAPER . I learned after having kids that it’s best to go Shopping by yourself 🤣😂 Janice you were talking about a snack drawer we had one in the fridge /freezer and a cabinet drawer also and the kids were about 3and 4yr olds and they would have neighbor kids over (we lived in a cul-d-sac) and usually Sissy would ask do you want a snack and she would take them to one of the drawers and pick something well one of the mothers came to my house questioning about junk food and she said “the kids. came home and said that you have a lot of junk food “ ME : yeah okay is that a problem ? Well the kids want a junk drawer but I don’t want them eating junk all day . Hmmm yes we have junk food but the only time our kids get into them is when they have friends over ! She did not believe me but it was the truth my husband got into them more then the kids did 🤣
Aldi does carry a red wine vinegar and it's a 16.9oz bottle for $2.75
Thank you for this, Sarah! I just looked at my receipt and I paid $2.27 for a 16 fluid ounce bottle, but now I wonder if my Aldi might be cheaper than yours (maybe you're in a higher cost of living area than me?) I'll be sure to check next time and do a cost comparison! :)
Janice will Sarah use the Gala Apples to make apple butter? ❤
Love your family
Great shopping save all we can. Have u noticed the quantity is lower and price higher? How do you deal with that? ❤❤❤
Once I upgrade my flip phone to a smart phone, I need to learn the digital savings on store apps.
Can I just give you money, and you do your magic and I have groceries? Lol. I despise shopping and I always buy stuff I shouldn't or isn't on my list lol. How do you have the discipline not to do that? Were you raised with this environment? Love you guys so much! Wish I could go to the meet and greet!
Oh, I wish you could come to the Meet & Greet too! You know, I don't remember helping my mom with planning a menu or buying groceries. I guess she took care of all of that. I had to learn how to do it once I was out on my own, though, and really tried to improve on it once I became a stay-at-home mom. I just stick to the list and I don't find that I'm tempted by Twinkies or Pop Tarts! :)
Great haul. I went to Costco today. I spent to much$$$. Gas 5$ agallon seattle
Oh wow, that's a lot for gas, Dolores! We're currently running $3.29 or $3.39 a gallon here. 😊
You know what I like, you don't deprive your children, so many do, CHILDREN NEED SNACKS
I like to think that we're living in moderation...healthy stuff most of the time, but still having fun treats occasionally too! 💕
Dougherty dozen are shameful with the amount of processed and trash she allows her 11 children.. she spends 1000's a week
I like kip and Carrie, they feed and take care of their kids very well . I don't understand the negative comment. No need to judge them because their diet is a little different than some families. 😢
@@ozarkfamilyhomestead😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Moderation is key ❤
