At the end of the video, Abigail saw Rebecca was about to fall from the folding chair, so Abigail ran to catch Rebecca, then Abigail stood there holding the chair still for Rebecca to play on it making sure Rebecca did not fall. That was so sweet and caring of Abigail! That is true sibling love, Abigail is such a sweet and caring girl! You raised your children well, as I can see all your children care for each other, and the older ones are all so patient with Rebecca.

I'm so glad your family gets blessed! My day-to-day life is a lot different than yours. My oldest has moved out. I have a 10 year old and a nine year old at home. I work full-time, I'm very career driven trying to make supervisor. But I'm also the breadwinner for our family and my husband stays home. I also want our family to eat more home-cooked food. Your videos have helped me make budget shopping easier so that I can help pay off some of our debt well also making sure my family is eating good home-cooked food

The book Shiloh takes place not far from me when my daughter now 29 was younger my husband took her to where it is placed at I live closer to there now can't wait till grandkids are old enough to go see the area .
All of the books in the box relate to Appalachian life, even the children's literature.

I got a gift of candies specifically for Janice as they are for diabetic people to enjoy. I was delighted at your expression, Janice and all the children for some odd reason seem to know my name. We were actually gifted some really nice safety box cutters several months ago and they're very handy! I didn't realize that Shawn didn't have everything opened fully, so I need to do a better job of checking that out next time. :)
Hi Janice - always enjoy watching your unboxing videos - Sam does a fantastic job or editing each one - and it is such an awesome thing of how generous so many are to your family - a blessing for sure. Sarah - I read the book "What Mama Left Behind" a great read and I think you will really enjoy it. She has some others as well that are equally good too. Janice again - I have heard you say many times 'We do not waste food in this house!" and I was wondering if you do the same as my mama used to do and that was to save all the leftovers that really do get left uneaten and she would freeze each bit until she had enough to throw it all in a big pot adding fresh new ingredients and meats or what she felt was needed, and make a soup or stew from it all, calling it the 'Kitchen sink stew/soup' as everything but the kitchen sink went into it!! ha ha But was it ever tasty!!! Thank you again for another fun video.
Sarah is devouring the book right now, so it must be really good! Yes, we occasionally have soup similar to what you did. 😁 I'll take all the leftovers out and dump them in a stockpot with some broth. I have to say, even though each one is different, we've never had a batch turn out inedible! 😉

Oh Jodi, we actually gave away quite a few home-canned and home-baked goods at the Meet & Greet back in October. We actually spent well above $1500 hosting that event for our viewers! Additionally, If we started having giveaways on our channel of the gifts that viewers sent us, I'm afraid that would be insulting to the viewer that chose to send the gift to our family.

@@BarbaraUThat’s not necessary. A family of 9 goes through things quickly, but they do donate things. Watch all of their videos and you will hear when she’s said that.
@@BarbaraU That's true but it would be bad form for them to do that. It's kind of like the old saying...Don't bite the hand that feeds you. I have watched other YT channels, where they were caught selling their gifts on various marketplaces and lost almost all of their subscribers and views. It's really not worth it! I have also seen YTers that get free stuff from companies as promotional things, like 30 solar batteries from 30 different companies because they want a video review and have seen them talk about selling the extras they don't need but that is different than getting rid of subscriber gifts. Also, I can tell that certain supporters give certain things, like I try to send stuff that helps the homestead as a whole and other send stuff for the children, etc.. I try to stay in my lane and let others gift them the other things, so there isn't an overload of the same types of gifts. Anything that is given that is a pantry item or activity item like crayons, markers etc, will get used up in time.
Oh y'all!!!! Each one of you are already occupying a part of my heart but, BUT 😂 when sweet Sarah lit up at the Bluegrass music...HELLO!!!! My kiddo pays for a monthly Spotify subscription and I made a huge (157 ) bluegrass Christmas and hymn playlist. Of course I'm always getting stared at cause I'm singing and shufflin my feet or tappin on the counter, washing machine, dryer..the cat, lol!! But of course I'm in Shelbyville Tennessee and love me some bluegrass!! Okay I'm movin in!!! God Bless y'all and love yaz bunches!!!

Thanks for the kind comment, Julia! Our house is actually on a concrete slab, so we can't do real wood floors. Our flooring is called Luxury Vinyl Plank and we have it down throughout the entire house (even the bathrooms and laundry room). We had it installed about 7 years ago and I've been really pleased with it! :)

Wow! Two tables for the sewing room, Very Nice!! I'm so glad someone sent you the switches for the stove and you will be able to fix your stove now! I'm sure that was bothering Janice and Sarah to no end! Flax seeds are good in cereal, hot or cold, and yogurt and salads! Anna's hair is getting so long, I bet it is beautiful when it is free flowing, it's beautiful braided also! Janice, it is high time that you, Shawn and the children get back to Gatlinburg, where it all began!!! I have an online place that I buy my printer ink for a really good price, I will send you the deets in an email, that's young people's talk for details LOL! I'm so glad that Janice got so many things for her, she works so hard keeping everything together and it was nice to see her get a lot of gifts just for her! OMG, that dress for Rebekah is gorgeous!!! Love the ice cream maker, you are going to have to get another dairy cow now! I can't wait to see what Sarah grows in the "pocket planter"! I thought they would be wider with more pockets, it's hard to tell sometimes the scale of things when viewing them online, so I will be sending a couple more to fill that lattice space up! How long before the summer room is done??
Well, a lot of it now depends on when our electrician, plumber, and builder are available. They're always booked, so we just have to wait our turn for them to fit us in. Our builder actually plans to be here all this week working on putting up one of the decks, so that's exciting! :)

Honestly, I'm tired of negative comments about certain aspects of our family and religion seems to be right up near the top of the list of hot-button topics. It's just easier to keep some things private just to avoid unnecessary drama. It's a sad reality, really. 😥
@@ozarkfamilyhomestead I think people need to realize that just because you show aspects of your life on YT, that doesn't mean you are obligated or we , as your viewers and supporters, are entitiled to see every single aspect of your life. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your family keeping as much of your life as you want to, Private. People need to learn boundaries, if they wouldn't walk up to someone in public and say..."Hey, what are your religious beliefs", then they shouldn't do it online. When was the last time you said to a friend, family member or stranger..."What are your rules about your children dating?". I mean really!!! That is so against social norms and being polite and forming friendships for that matter, that it is really deplorable for someone to do that online! Social ettiquette class is done for tonight!! LOL!! And one last thing...the last thing women should be doing to other women is trying to tear them down!! We, as women, should be lifting each other UP!!!!!!
